《Sweet Disaster》9| Sleep

"I have to go now. Before Chloe calls or I fall asleep," I mumbled, rubbing my eyes. I began sitting up but he grabbed my arm and pulled me back down. "Ah!" I cried when he pulled me into him, putting an arm around my waist.
"Shut up, Indigo. It's not even midnight yet."
I didn't look at him and kept my eyes on the ceiling. "But I told you earlier too I'm tired," I whined. "And now I'm even more tired and sleepy."
"Stop complaining!" he groaned, shaking my body. "You complain about everything."
I turned to look at him, my mouth open while I pulled on an offended expression.
"What?" He jutted his chin out, lifting a brow at me sharply.
I rolled onto my side and slapped him. Hard but not too hard.
"Ahh!" he groaned, grabbing both my wrists in one hand and starting to poke my stomach and ribs.
I squealed and tried kicking him but he locked my legs in his. I started laughing after one point, I couldn't hold it in. "Reece!" I fake cried.
He stopped and pinned my wrists on either side of my head after climbing on top of me, straddling my hips. He looked down at me, smiling. "Beg."
"Fuck you," I scoffed.
He started tickling me again but I screamed at the bare touch.
"Stop, stop, stop! Please don't! Please!"
He stopped and watched me chuckling softly.
My face felt hot and flushed, which it probably was. I'm now in nothing but my underwear and bra.
And he only has his briefs on. That's all we put on after we finished. "Indigo Bloom Easton," he said slowly while leaning in.
"Reece..." I fell in thought.
He smirked.
"You don't have a middle name, do you?"
He shook his head softly, "No, I don't."
"Ha! Reece Griffin," I said mockingly.
"I didn't take you to be this type of girl."
"What type of girl?" I asked, slightly offended.
"The kind I like."
"Ay," I looked at him warily.
"No, not like that," he chuckled, climbing off of me and lying down beside me, on his side so he was still facing me. "You're good company, is all I mean. I like being around you." I rolled onto my side as well, facing him. "Mostly when I'm naked though," he smirked.
I rolled my eyes and flipped onto my stomach, facing away from him. "Reece," I said without looking at him.

"Yes?" he asked.
"Don't let me fall asleep, okay? If I do, just wake me up. I have to get home," I sighed, rubbing my eyes.
"Okay, Indigo," he sang. "Whatever you say."

"Oh, shit. Indigo."
I kept my eyes closed.
"Indigo."
I felt someone shaking me softly.
"Indie."
I opened my eyes, squinting under the bright sunlight pouring in through the window. I groaned, rolling the other way and keeping my eyes closed. I grabbed the covers and pulled them over my head. My eyes snapped open when I inhaled.
Citrus. And strong cologne.
I threw the covers off, looking around. I sat up, looking at Reece.
He scratched the back of his head quickly. "Shit, sorry."
"Reece," I said warningly. "Why am I still here?"
He looked at me sheepishly. "I fell asleep and forgot to wake you up."
I groaned, climbing out of bed quickly, grabbing my sweatpants and hoodie, quickly pulling them on.
"You went to sleep. I thought I'd let you sleep for a while and then wake you up in a little bit."
"But?" I asked, pulling my hoodie over my head.
"But I went to sleep too," he mumbled, rubbing his eyes.
"You went to sleep?" I asked incredulously.
"I fell asleep. Sort of."
"Reece!"
"I..." He groaned, dragging his palms down his face. "I fell asleep but then at some point, I don't know when I woke up. I saw that you were sleeping."
"Then why didn't you wake me up?"
"It was late, it was really late. I didn't want to wake you up, I didn't want to wake up and drop you home either. So, I just let you sleep and I went back to sleep too."
I huffed, working my jaw and glaring at him while I threw my hair up in a high ponytail. "Reece!"
"Yes?"
I grabbed the pillow, smacking it over his head.
He groaned, trying to grab the pillow but I kept hitting him with it. His head, his arm, his stomach, his legs, his back. Anywhere I could get. He grabbed the pillow and yanked it out of my hands.
So, naturally, I did the next best thing. I grabbed the other one and started beating him up with that.
After a while, he hit me back on my head.
I screamed and closed my eyes, hitting back harder. He hit back quickly. I hit back harder. He wasn't hitting me hard, even I know that. But he was hitting quickly. I swung the pillow at him but he grabbed it, pulling it closer and because I wasn't focusing at all, he pulled me with it too.

I stumbled, grabbing onto his shoulders to steady myself. I dropped the pillow and he dropped his too, looking down at me while he knelt on the bed. I frowned, looking at him. My brows were furrowed and I'm sure I had the look of an angry toddler on my face.
My dad always says I look like an angry toddler, not like an angry girl. I think mentally, I may or may not still be a toddler. If not mentally, I am emotionally.
His frown turned into a smirk and leaned in slightly.
"Ai!" I pushed him away and stepped back. "I have to go. We don't have time." I pulled my light pink Nike slides back on and grabbed my phone.
He jumped off the bed and blocked my way, snatching my phone from my hands.
I reached for it but he held it up. I jumped for it and he pulled it behind his back. When I leaned closer, he grabbed my waist and kept me there. I looked at him warily, my eyes scanning his face.
He doesn't even look bad when he wakes up? He's still in his briefs too.
"When you get home, freshen up and then come back here," he said, his eyes zoned in on my lips.
I scoffed, "You're very needy."
"As much as I would love to do that again, I'm not calling you for sex. We have to work on that psychology project. Don't be late."
"I'm with Chloe today. We're going out."
"Then come tonight," he smirked.
I leaned around him and snatched my phone out of his hand. I stepped around him but he grabbed my wrist, pulling me back.
"Indie," he said softly.
I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath before looking up at him. "I'll be here at midnight."
"Okay," he grinned, letting me go. "Bye, bye."
"Bye," I huffed, grabbing my keys from his kitchen counter and then rushed out. I was walking to the elevator which I saw coming up. I waited there and when it dinged open, I froze.
"Indie? Hey," he chuckled.
"Caleb. Hi," I smiled.
"What are you doing here?" he asked. He stepped out of the elevator, seeming confused.
"Were you with... Reece?"
I shook my head quickly. "I was um, I was looking for Landon. I have to talk to him, so I thought he'd be here. But he isn't."
"Isn't he taking your calls or answering your texts?" he frowned.
I fidgeted with my earrings. "Actually, I was ignoring him. I don't know if he told you..."
Realization clicked in his eyes. He nodded slowly. "Yeah. Yeah, I know. He's such a dick, sorry about that. He didn't tell me until after he did it though. I would have told you, you know."
I nodded. "Um, anyway, I'll get going. But hey listen, don't tell Landon I came here looking for him, please. I don't want him thinking I'll take him back because I was looking around for him, you know? I'm looking for him to slap the shit out of him," I scoffed, the lie spewing out my mouth so easily. Because it isn't a lie. The only lie about this is that I came here looking for him.
No. Oh, no, no, no. I came here to get fucked by his best friend.
"Indie, can I ask you something? Just a sec?"
I stopped, holding the elevator doors open. "What's up?"
"You live with Chloe, right?"
I nodded.
"Do you happen to um..."
I read his body language and his expression. "Know if she's single?" I smiled.
His eyes went wide and he blinked in surprise. "Huh?"
I chuckled, "She is. And she spends most of her time at Candy's. Not today though. So go tomorrow. Anywhere after noon."
"Thanks," he grinned.
"You're welcome. You want her number too?"
"I have it."
"Hey, loverboy. Asking for Chloe's number?" We both looked over at Reece who had Whiskey on a leash as he walked over.
"I already have it," Caleb said smugly.
"Ooh, big moves," Reece laughed, teasing him.
"Where are you going? I was coming over to hang," Caleb said.
"I'll be back in thirty. He has to walk, we're late today. I slept in."
Caleb frowned. "You always wake up to walk him though? You usually go back to sleep, what happened?"
Reece looked at me. "I had a nice dream. Didn't want to wake up just yet."
"What dream?" Caleb asked warily.
Reece turned to him, looking away from me. "You don't want to know." He then tossed Caleb the apartment keys. "Go ahead. I'll be back. Shall we, Indigo?"
I stepped into the elevator and he stepped in beside me while Caleb headed to the apartment. "A dream?" I deadpanned when the doors closed.
"A very nice one. You were there too. I think we had the same dream actually. Let's talk about it," he smirked.
"Let's not," I said quickly. "Let's not. Definitely not."
