《Ballet With The Bad Boy》Chapter 21

"Take a seat. Start copying out the text until 4 o clock." Mr Collins instructed as I made my way into the detention room.

It didn't take me long to get there as my last lesson was the room next door so I was the first person. I took the piece of paper that he handed me and made my way to the back of the classroom.

One hour. That's all I had to endure before I could go home and isolate myself in my room.

As I started my task, a couple more students bustled into the room, earning a shout from Mr Collins to shut up and sit down.

I noticed a couple of them stare at me. Probably surprised I was in here since I've never had a detention before.

Seeing goody-two shoes McCoy in here will most likely spread through the school like wildfire by tomorrow.

I put that thought to the back of my mind and continued with the text I had to copy out.

The hour felt like two and I was already two pages into the text when the door swung open with a bang.

I didn't even want to look up to see who it was. I already knew when the person made their way to the back where I was sitting and sat on the desk next to me.

"Mr Taylor. Don't think you can just walk past me after coming in late and ignoring me." Mr Collins snapped from the front. The chubby man made his way over to us and slammed a piece of paper on Leo's desk.

Leo didn't even reply and I could feel his eyes on me as I tried to ignore my surroundings.

This went on for a minute or so before some rustling from beside me snapped me out of my zone. Shortly after a wad of paper hit the side of my head and I jumped from the sudden impact.

Finally looking at Leo, I glared at him "What was that for?" I whispered.

"Ah, so you do know I exist." Leo smirked in reply, his fingers playing with the pen in his hand.

Rolling my eyes, I turned back to my paper, my head resting on my hand and carrying on with copying the text.

Please let that be the only interaction I have with hi-

Whack.

Another ball of paper hit my head and I shut my eyes for a moment. Why is he irritating me so much?

Instead of talking to him or ignoring him, I picked up my paper and bag and moved over three seats so he wasn't near me anymore.

Call me childish but Leo was the last problem I needed right now.

I could hear him laughing quietly from across from me which only made me sigh internally.

Only 30 minutes to go Eliana. You can do this.

Thankfully Leo didn't attempt to talk to me for the remainder of detention. I managed to finish copying the text and handed it to Mr Collins as I made my way out the room.

Leo was forced to stay since he didn't do any work and Mr Collins was questioning him on his whereabouts for the most of the detention so I was able to leave the school without him trying to speak to me.

My walk home took a turn for the worst as it started to rain heavily as I got to the half way point.

Damn it, I left my hoodie in my locker.

I could feel my hair plastering to my forehead as I quickly got drenched from head to toe. The cold rain seeped into my bones and I could feel my jeans beginning to cling to my legs.

God, this chill was going to affect me bad. I didn't want to be ill since I had practice tomorrow and if I had a cold it wouldn't be fun.

Picking up my pace, I nearly ended up sprinting home.

Just as I turned the final corner, a body stopped me in my tracks as I crashed into them, leaving me to fall to the floor with a cry.

Wiping the rain from my eyes, my body stilled when I saw Ivy just standing in front of me.

"Ah, there you are." She was holding an umbrella in her hand and she crouched down to where I was on the floor.

I could feel stinging in my palms from where I fell to the ground and I knew they were scratched up just from how hard I hit the concrete.

"What do you want?" I questioned, wanting to pick myself up but since Ivy made no intention to move from above me I didn't attempt it.

"Well I'm pretty sure I asked you not too long ago to leave Leo alone and... I don't think you listened." Ivy smiled sweetly at the end of it.

Fucking fantastic. Literally everyone was on my case about Leo.

"I'm trying to leave him alone. Not my fault he wants to talk to me." I replied through gritted teeth, I needed this conversation to be over.

Before I even registered it, Ivy stood up quickly, lifted up her heeled foot and brought it down hard on the side of my calf.

I cried out hard, my hands grabbing her foot to pull her heel away from my leg.

"Don't play games with me." Ivy hissed, pushing down harder until I could see blood staining the floor underneath me.

Her heel had actually gone into my calf. Like, into my fucking body.

Ivy yanked her foot out after a few seconds, studying her handiwork and smiling at me before she simply walked across the street and leaving me there.

Is this bitch actually for real? She's just fucked up my leg for ballet and I could be screwed.

I didn't know what to do. My leg hurt too much to move it and I didn't have anyone around to help me.

I could see my house from where I was sat on the floor which only made me feel more helpless.

I just cried. Sat in the rain and cried my eyes out at the pain in my leg.

I didn't want Leo. Ivy could have him for all I care. Everything in the past few months had been shit.

"Eliana?"

Of all the people to say my name at that moment, I was utterly gobsmacked to see Hunter of all people crossing the road.

His hood was up over his head, his hands shoved in his pockets to escape the harshness of the weather.

"Shit, Eliana what happened?" He rushed to my side, his hands reaching to my sides as he tried to help me up.

I clung to his shoulders as a sharp pain shot through my leg.

Telling Hunter what happened would be the last of my problems. If I blabbed to him, he would tell Harvey who would go after Ivy which meant a whole world of pain for me.

The less people knew, the better.

"Fell over. Stupid weather made me slip." I sniffled, pulling my bag up with me.

Hunter positioned his arms so one was around my waist and the other holding my hand for support.

"Jesus. Must have been some fall." Hunter commented and I laughed it off nervously.

Slowly but steadily, we made it to my front door and was met with Harvey's confused face when I knocked on it.

"What the fuck happened to you?" Was the first thing he said. Charming.

"She said she fell over." Hunter answered for me and it made me feel uneasy with how he said it.

Harvey grabbed my bag from me and helped me over to the couch.

"Grab me the first aid kit." I raised my leg up so my foot was resting on the coffee table just in case I got blood on the sofa.

Harvey returned quickly with a green box in his hand. Good thing I was a Girl Scout a few years ago and learnt basic first aid.

Of course, to get to my injury it meant I had to take my jeans off and I hesitated before looking to both Hunter and Harvey.

Annoyingly I couldn't get up by myself and do it so I knew I needed help.

"Uh, I need someone to help me." I asked quietly and Harvey turned to Hunter.

"I don't want to do it so I'm giving you permission to do it," I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him "Just don't stare."

Hunter looked like he didn't want to do it either but nodded his head.

Harvey turned around and Hunter moved over to me, lifting me up gently and slowly helping me pull my jeans down.

All I can say is thank god I had decent underwear on.

It took longer than I wanted it too since my jeans were still damp and practically clinging to my skin and when it got to the bad part of my leg I had to suppress a whimper.

This is the first time someone other than me has pulled my trousers off and honestly I thought it would feel more magical than this.

Once we had eventually stripped my jeans off my body, even Hunter made a noise when my calf was fully revealed.

A massive bruise surrounded a small, bloody hole in the side of my flesh which was still oozing blood.

That whole side of my leg was practically purple in colour from how messed up it was and I groaned out load.

Well, that's ballet tomorrow out the window.

"Holy shit Eli! There's no way you got that from just falling over!" Harvey shouted crouching to my leg and examining it.

"There must have been a stone underneath me or something." I blurted out, reaching for the medical kit and pulling out some anti-bacterial wipes.

Wiping up all the blood that stained my leg and a tiny bit around the open wound, I then squeezed in some sterile water that was in a small tube to clean it out.

That bit stung like hell but luckily I was able get through it before I finally covered it and bandaged it up.

"Can you help me to my room? I just want to sleep." I sighed, closing the first aid kit and facing Harvey who was studying me hard.

People alway say that twins have a hive mind and can be telepathic in some way. I could tell that Harvey was trying to figure out what really happened.

Was I ready to have that conversation? Definitely not.

With the help of the boys, I was practically carried down the hallway and into my bedroom where I was placed on my bed.

It didn't take long for me to curl up and fall asleep from how crazy my day had been.

Would I be ok for ballet tomorrow? God I hope so.

If Miss Lacey sees my injury and decided I'm not fit enough to compete then that's the dream out the window again.

God, please let me dance.
