《Ballet With The Bad Boy》Chapter 1

Click, click, click.

The tapping of the pen from the girl next to me was driving me insane. I know Physics can be boring, but please don't irritate others with your constant twitching habits.

There was only 10 minutes left of the lesson and then it was home time.

The weekend was right around the corner which meant I could hide in my room whilst all of my brothers silly friends came round and did whatever they wanted.

Lucky for Harvey, our parents decided they wanted us to be independent. Aka, since we were now both 17 they decided to pay for our own home since they didn't want to bother with us anymore.

I was neutral about it, whereas my twin was over the moon.

Literally every night he would invite his friends round so I was always banished from the front room. Well, I wouldn't want to sit in a room full of hormonal, Xbox playing boys anyway.

It was always the highlight of my night going home and doing fuck all. It's why I was branded as the school nobody. I always done my homework since I had nothing else to do, had no friends as everyone thought I was weird and pretty much kept to myself.

People only knew my name because I was Harvey's twin. We looked similar with the same green eyes and black hair.

He was popular, but not the bad kind of popular. He got on with pretty much everyone, even the teachers. Like me, he was a straight A student.

I guess that was another reason why our parents decided to ditch us so easily, we were doing well in school and life so they didn't have to worry about us.

They would pop in here and there, making sure we were keeping up our grades and that the house was tidy and then they'd leave to a different country for months on end.

Everyone would think that we were living the dream, well, Harvey was.

I just hated that my brother had no respect for my privacy. I love him to pieces and all but he really needs to chill with the gatherings and the guests around at all hours of the day.

The loud noise of the end of school bell rang through my ears and snapped me out of my daydream.

Luckily I think the teacher was in the same mindset as me as she also jumped at the noise and flapped her hand to all of us, as if to wave us away.

Students jumped up from their seats and practically ran out the room whereas I took my time,

slowly packing my things away and waiting for the stream of people to die down before I left after them.

Just as I left the room, Harvey jumped into my view, making me jolt from shock.

"Jheez Harv, you scared the shit out of me." I muttered in annoyance, slinging my bag over my shoulder and rolling my eyes as he laughed at me.

"Sorry, didn't mean too. Just wanted to let you know before you got home that I've got the guys coming over tonight and a couple are staying over." He informed me like it was a completely new thing.

Most of the time I just predict that someone will be coming home with us and staying the night, he doesn't even need to tell me.

"Ok, just don't be too loud." I sigh, not bothering to even try to convince my brother to have a quiet night for once.

"Awesome, do you want a lift home? I finally got my car fixed." He bargains and I suppose its a good enough offer to accept since my evening is going to be overtaken with boys shouting and binge drinking.

I nod my head and we leave the science block. As we're walking, any remaining students in the school all smile and wave at Harvey, with even an odd "Hey Harvey" and "See you next week, Harvey".

It was like I was completely invisible to everyone when I was with him which I had 50/50 feelings towards.

Good because then I don't have to converse with people I don't know or like, but bad because it just makes me feel like I don't even need to be there.

Especially if someone Harvey knows is chatting to him and Harvey doesn't even bother to introduce me or involve me in the conversation.

As we got to the parking lot, I spotted Harvey's crappy Mini Cooper instantly. The rusty blue paint job and bright green hub caps makes the classic look extremely weird.

Just as I reached the passenger side of the car, Harvey's voice stopped me.

"Oh wait, Eli, my new friend Leo will be getting a ride with us and staying the night so you're gonna have to get in the back seat." Harvey said, chucking his bags into the back seat which made me groan.

"Ugh, why does he get to sit in the front?" I complained, jutting out my lower lip in annoyance.

His eyes went to look behind me "Because he is a hell of a lot taller then you and won't fit in the back."

Narrowing my eyebrows, I spun around only to be met but a chest in a grey top.

Ah. Right.

Looking up I realised that this must be Leo as I didn't recognise him from around school and since Harvey said he was a new friend he was probably new in general.

He was cute, I had to admit. Dirty blond hair tied up messily in a bun with loose strands framing his chiseled face. His brown eyes as ripples of gold in them which I envied instantly.

I didn't want to stare at him though so I quickly spun back round and chucked my bag into the back seat along with Harvey's.

"I just gotta go pee, I'll be back in a sec."

My brother nodded his head in reply and slid into the front seat of the car whilst Leo joined him on the passenger side.

Well that wasn't awkward at all.

I made my way back into the main building of the school, finding the girls toilets and entering the nearest cubicle.

Just as I sat down, the toilet door opened and the sound of heels clicked on the stone flooring.

"Honestly, that new kid is so hot." One girl gushed and I rolled my eyes. How more cliché can you get?

"Which one? That Leo guy?" Came a reply and I just had to sit there as quietly as I could until they left.

"Of course, I heard that he moved schools due to fighting with other students, that he's single and he's made friends with Harvey McC-"

Just as she went to finish her sentence, my hoodie slipped off the peg on the toilet door and made a small noise as it hit the floor.

The first girl stopped talking suddenly and my heart skipped a beat "Who's in here?"

"Eliana." I swallowed hard and flushed the toilet, picking up zipping up my hoodie before I came out to hide myself from them as much as I could.

When I opened the cubical door, the two girls, who I now recognised as Ivy Smith and Kirsty Owens just stared at me in distaste.

"You know it's rude to listen in on other people's conversations." Kirsty snapped, placing a hand on her hip and tossing her blonde hair over her shoulder.

"I wasn't listening, I was peeing." I replied, not trying to sound rude but trying to make it so they would leave me alone.

Both of the girls just gave me a look of disgust and stared at me until I washed my hands and left.

Well, that was even more awkward than earlier. She was probably rude to me because she realised that I was Harvey's sister.

I hurried out to the car and noticed that Harvey and Leo were laughing and joking in the car. Their laughter died down as I got into the back of the car.

"Lets go, I've had enough of bitchy teenagers." I muttered, pulling my phone out of my pocket and absentmindedly scrolling on it.

"Who's annoyed you now?" Harvey asked as he revved up the engine. It made a spluttering noise before finally turning on properly.

"Two girls in the toilet, they were talking about Leo and you and they then realised that I was in there and snapped at me for 'listening to their conversation'."

"Wait, talking about us? Who were they?" Leo questioned. He was probably curious since today was his first day and he already had girls talking about him.

"Ivy Smith and Kirsty Owens. I think they're in your PE lesson Harv."

"Oh yea, they're kinda..." Harvey tilted his head to the side when we stopped at a red light before facing Leo "Trashy?"

Leo and I both snickered at my brothers comment. Yes, my brother may be popular and friends with everyone, but he knows who to avoid in the school.

It took about 5 more minutes before we finally reached home which was a welcoming view for me.

I was just looking forward to climbing into my bed and snuggling with Loki, my kitten.

Yes, I was obsessed with cats. Loki was my birthday present, he was about 7 months old now so he didn't even look like a kitten anymore.

I was out the car in a flash, taking my keys out from my jeans pocket and unlocking the front door.

I hadn't even taken two steps before I heard a crash from down the hall and the distinct sound of running and meowing.

There's my boy.

I kicked my shoes off and ran to my room to see Loki rolling around by my closed door.

"Hey sweet boy." I cooed, scooping him up in my arms and bringing him to my room with me.

"Hey Eli, do you want pizza for dinner? Leo was gonna order some." Harvey shouts from the kitchen as I hear the front door slam.

"No thanks." I forced myself to say that as pizza is my favorite food but I was trying to be good when it came to food. Mostly because I have my ballet auditions next month and I want to look and feel good enough to be able to be chosen for this certain performance.

I placed Loki down on my bed who instantly curled up into a ball and fell asleep.

Sweeping my black hair into a ponytail, I tuck some loose strands behind my ear and change into my sweats before making my way down the hall to grab a snack and something to drink.

Pretty much as soon as I walk into the kitchen, I hear the shouts from the living room, indicating that my brother and Leo were playing Xbox already.

And now the fun begins... Not.
