《Forbidden Flower》Chapter 30

Our family, we were the richest in our country. I was born with knives at my throat and guns in my face, my father was cruel but he gave me everything a girl ever wanted, a life fit for a princess. I was fed with golden spoon. Mansions and expensive materials were not new to me. I had it all. My father made sure I had the best of the best like he quoted the best for the mafia princess when all I wanted was his attention and loves.
But, the Salvatore's lifestyle was one thing that I would never get used to. No amount of luxuries I had experienced before could compare to how they lived. And, that was told from a rich girl's point of view so you must get a hint of their riches.
I was spending my day avoiding Nick at all cost by hiding in Cora's room with little storm when Alana suddenly burst in and demanded me to go shopping with her because apparently no one in the estate wanted to hangout with her anymore. Figuring I had a ninety percent chance of not running into him at the mall, I agreed to come with her.
The luxurious mall stood tall in the heart of London. Every corners were designer stores showing their products under shiny chandelier that would probably cost more than my organs. On a Sunday afternoon liked this one I was expecting to finally see people's faces again. I hated people don't get me wrong but after you spent weeks trapped indoor you ought to want to seek some new faces.
So, imagine my horror when we arrived to a decant mall in the Salvatore's extravagant limousine. There was no one shopping around, no noises, and no people at all except the workers in each stores.
Apparently, Seth Salvatore had shut down the whole place for his wife to shop in peacefully with no bothers from any peasants.
Very fucking extra. I told you.
" Are you sure you don't want these edible lingerie, sweetheart? " Alana asked showing me a pair of thin plastic looking lingerie set.
I looked between her and the sinful looking thing she was holding in pure horror. I could even feel my eyes were threatening to fall of their sockets. Shaking my head I muttered a small no, thanks before I pulled her hand and dragged her out of the store.

We proceeded our shopping trip to more normal stores until I was convinced I broke Nick's bank account. Every shoes I purchased I was waiting for his card to get declined. Every pieces of clothing I bought I hoped I made him bankrupt. I knew it was stupid to spend his money carelessly, not that he needed it, but still it wasn't mine to spent. However for the sake of my sanity and for some sort of revenge for what he had done to me, I went ahead and did it anyway because I was petty as fuck and he made my brain went fuzzy.
It wasn't his fault that you're falling for him.
" Do you have any family, Anastasia? " Alana asked and I almost choked on my drinks.
Alana and I had decided we had done enough damage to the Salvatore's men bank account so we settled for an early dinner at a small restaurant nearby. The place was nothing fancy but Alana told me she absolutely loved it because it was always nice to enjoy a bit of humbling after a day filled of luxuries and so we settled in a booth at the far corner of the place with her bodyguards a few tables away from us.
" No, it was just me growing up. "
Family had always been a sensitive topic for me. I never even talked about it in the first place because I didn't have one to talk about.
" I have my grandmother, Louisa. But, she lives far from me in DC. I don't see her much. " I said frowning slightly at thought of having to hide her away from the world, including myself.
How I still didn't have the heart to kill the man I called my father was still beyond me.
I never told anyone about my grandmother's whereabouts not even my father, I was protecting her from him after all. But, I found myself trusting Alana as if somewhere inside me knew that she would never do anything to hurt an old lady as sweet as my grandma Lou, not even when she found out who I really was. I just knew it in my guts that I could trust her with my grandma which was a rare thing because I never trusted anyone beside myself.

" Are you homesick, sweetheart? You have been with us for almost two months now. Do you miss home? " she asked smiling at me sweetly.
Homesick? I wasn't even sure where home was.
" Nick's arms. Figured I slept next to him every nights, no I'm not homesick. " I said smiling sheepishly as I felt my blood rushing to my cheeks and I never saw Alana grinned bigger.
" The estate is your home, Anastasia. Remember that. You're always welcome there. " she smiled placing her hand on top of mine.
Guilt. It hit me full force filling up every cells in my body. Hatred rushed through my vein. I had never hated myself more than at the moment. I was a betrayer and a snake in their family. I shouldn't be welcomed to their home, to anyone's home in particular.
These people thought of me as their own when I was only a mere stranger. They took me under their wings. They didn't know it but they indirectly saved me from my own father. They showed me a world without him suffocating me, a life I could have if I simply escaped him. And what did I do to return their favor? I planned their murders.
I was a monster. I was willing to kill a whole family without any further reasons. I was going to murder the people who gave me shelter and shown me mercy just because my father simply asked me to.
The Salvatore's didn't deserve this kind of shits.
" Alana, I need to tell you something-
The ringing of her phone stopped me from whatever the hell I was thinking of doing. It was a moment of strength. I didn't know what happened but I had this urge to come clean and just tell her everything about me, narrating my whole life to her. Hell, I didn't even care if she wanted to kill me in the spot.
" Seth? What happened? " she answered her phone as I impatiently waiting for the call to end before I lost all my guts.
I watched the life drained from her face until every ouches of blood disappeared as she paled. My heart beat aggressively against my ribcage as if it wanted to tear my chest open and get out. Her hand went to cover her mouth as she listened to her husband spoke and my heart seemed to beat even faster. It was a bad feeling and I wanted nothing more than to just rip the phone out of her hand and listened to it myself.
" Alana? What happened? Say something. You're scaring me. " I asked reaching for her hands after the phone call ended.
She took a moment staring into spaces blankly. Her not saying a word and not reacting to whatever news her husband told her were what scaring me. She was just there numb not feeling anything. I knew exactly how she felt, I was reacting the same way when I stood there and watched my father killed my mother, I was helpless, I hated myself for not being able to help.
It was a horrible feeling to experience and maybe that was why I was scared for her. No matter what happened or how bad it was she needed to react and not keeping everything in before she snapped and exploded or worse shut the whole world down, liked I did.
" Alana, take a deep breath. You need to tell me what happened. "
" Nico. He got into an accident. His father thinks it was planned. Someone is trying to kill my son. We haven't had any enemy in years. " she finally broke into a full sobs.
Nick. My Nick. They tried to kill him. And, it felt like everything was my fault.

I was Reborn as the Villainess but I will become a Great Sage
Nova Allandis, formerly known as Suna Lee, remembers her previous life and realizes her current life is as the villainess in a fantasy novel she once read. However, as Suna, she was the laziest person with no motivation, possibly attributed to the fact that she didn't go into a major that was her strongest suit. Now that she has a high affinity towards magic and wishes to go into it, will she be able to change her lazy self for the better, or will she go back to being lazy like the villainess in the novel? Can she become a Great Sage and live life happily this time? Note: This is not a "revenge of the villainess" novel, but rather a "rise to fame" novel. A/N: This is just an experimental novel and criticisms are much appreciated, but I'm extremely defensive of my own work and characters. If you are here to put down a novel, please remember, first of all, you are not paying anything to read this, and second of all, authors are humans too.
