《Forbidden Flower》Chapter 15

To say that I was shock was an understatement. His question caught me completely off guard and made me wondered what the hell was going on in his head.
I was completely deeply and utterly attracted to his intimidating attitude and physical appearance all right, that I admitted. But, falling in love with him was a bit too much knowing I had just met him and all. I tried to kill his entire family for God's sake.
I was no expert in this love thing but I was sure as hell, me attempting to murder his family, putting my blade at his throat wasn't a way of showing love.
This delusional fucker must had got the wrong sign, making false assumptions.
I stared at the sly bastard in pure horror letting him know what was going on in my mind trying to telepathically tell him that love and I never crossed path, I grew up in a world without love. As soon as my mother died in front of my eyes the definition of that word was lost into the depth of the ocean.
So, it was safe to say that I wasn't capable of love. I was clueless on how it worked.
His question however made me pity myself. I meant how could a human live without knowing what love felt like, as it was described as the most beautiful feeling to ever existed and everyone should felt loved.
" Are you still here, Ana? " he asked tapping my cheek lightly.
Curling my fingers into a fist I raised my hand from the mug I was holding and punched the asshole in front of me in his illegally handsome face. My fist met his left cheek making a slight cracking sound.
And, for the first time ever I regretted hurting someone. What if I broke his face? But, would it make him at least a little bit uglier just so I could kill him more easily when time came.
The punch was so powerful that it made him stumbled off his chair falling to the ground making a loud thud, or maybe it caught him off guard and he totally didn't see it coming.
" Look like you're the one falling for me, Nick. " I laughed throwing my head back.
" Jesus Christ, woman. What the fuck is wrong with you? " he grunted holding his jaw.
I jumped off my chair with a big grin on my face before rushing to help him up.

" There's blood dripping out of your mouth. " I sighed as I examined his face.
" What do you think? You broke my fucking jaw you idiot. " he gritted glaring at me.
He cursed under his breath as I damped cotton ball on his burst lips, cleaning off the blood. I took a pack of ice from the little fridge in the kitchen and then pressing it to his jaw trying to at least ease the pain as a purple bruise started to show.
For the first time after knowing the ruthless doctor, Eden I wished his cold ass was here to do his magical treatment on his brother because I was obviously shitty at treating a semi broken jaw. Hell, I didn't know what the hell was I doing exactly.
It was when his hot breath fanned my face that I had realized my face was inches away from his. I looked down at his lips for a moment before coming back up to stare at his eyes, he was already looking at me with an unreadable expression then the grey eyes trailed down to my lips making me swallowed.
His hands suddenly made contact with each side of my waist pulling me up from my kneeling position onto his laps, making me straddling him on the single couch in front of the fireplace of the little cottage's living room. I bit my lips nervously as we both stuck under each other's gaze.
" Stop biting your lips or I will kiss you senseless. " he said making me froze.
0-100
Suddenly the already small living room was ten times smaller. The air around us was dense and intense making the tension between the two of us thickened. My breath caught in my throat and chills ran down my whole body as grey eyes bored into my soul.
" Kiss me. " I uttered. Maybe just this once so I could finally stop thinking about it.
" The problem is. " he leaned in closer to my face, his hot breath fanning my skin. " If I kissed you, I don't think I would be able to stop. And, we both can't let that happen. "
I took a deep breath before nodding my head. What the hell was I thinking. I took in a sharp breath before getting off him.
I almost kissed him! As exciting as it sounded I couldn't do it. Not when I was here for something else. But, he made it so hard to stay away. I had never wanted someone as much as I craved for him.

I would never understand this attraction between the two of us, I had never really believed in this kind of things but it was irony how destiny let us crossed path knowing that we could never be together, not even for a day, and no matter how bad we wanted each other.
Handing him the pack of ice I stepped farther away from the couch leaving at least six feet between us. I watched as he pressed the ice on his jaw while looking at me oddly.
" E-er what are we supposed to do next? We are staying here for the day I assumed? " I said looking everywhere but his eyes.
" Yes. And, we're going hunting. " he suddenly grinned at the mention of hunting.
" A rip off version of the real art of murdering but it is fun too. I guess. " he shrugged earning an unimpressed glare from me.
The tension roaming around the air was forgotten and the mood in the room lightened when he pulled me by my hand into a room full of guns. From small hand guns to machine guns. My eyes scanned the room in excitement, now this was an impressive collection of deadly weapons.
" Dude, you have a bazooka hanging on your wall. " I giggled pointing to the mesmerizing killing weapon.
" Yes. Amazing decoration. It adds flavor to the room, don't you think? " he asked while putting bullets into a haunting gun.
" Finally, a person who think likes me. Where have you been all my life, Nick? " I chuckled and him winked at me in response.
We went hunting after a long time of innocent flirting in the cottage or he went hunting while just stood there watching him did his things.
Impressive was an under-compliment to describe what he did in the wild. Gosh he moved so skillfully so silently almost liked a real lion haunting for its prey. It was fascinating watching him doing his things.
And, before I knew it he had captured a whole deer bringing it back to the men who were guarding the property.
I was petting a rabbit that he had caught for me to play with when he went out to take a phone call outside. This whole day was eventful since I stepped on that motorcycle in the morning, the sun was started to set making the sky outside turned into the color of cotton candy.
" You are a fluffy little thing, aren't you? " I cooed at the little grey wild rabbit on my laps.
His fur reminded me of a certain pair of eyes. Maybe that was why I wanted Nick to catch him for me so badly.
" An assassin getting cuddly with an innocent fluff ball. What a sight. " a chuckle made its way to my ears.
" Oh shut up, Nick. Look at him. Aren't he the most adorable little thing? " I said holding out the rabbit in his face.
He took it from me and into his hands before sitting down next to me on the couch. The rabbit looked so small in his big palms but stayed completely still, I assumed he liked the heat that radiant from Nick's hands. Because I liked it too.
" I apologize but we are leaving right now for dinner at eight. A helicopter is on its way to take us. " Nick sighed petting the rabbit.
" Why? I like it here. " I pouted. Hell, I would never want to leave this place.
" Bella's bringing a boy home for dinner. " he huffed leaning his back to the couch.
" Okay. " I muttered under my breath.
" Hey, you get to bring the rabbit home with us. " he said smiling at me.
Home? It sounded so wrong to call it home but somehow the word felt so right. What the hell was happening to me!
" What do you want to name him? " I asked looking at the little rabbit.
" How do you know that it's a he ? " he asked cocking an eyebrow at me.
" Call it mother instinct. " what the hell was I saying right now?
" Oh. So, we're a little family now? " he smirked earning a glare from me.
" Who say you gotta be in the family. I'm a single mother. " I huffed.
" I was the one who caught him. That automatically made me his daddy. " he argued making me sulked.
Daddy. Good God I needed to get my head out of the gutter.

Continuity
I’m writing this all down because I don’t know what else to do with it. This whole experience has been so completely insane that I must record it so people in the future can understand what is going on. Maybe someday someone else can make sense of it. Maybe that person is you, I have no idea. JR awakens from a dream to find that he is late for work! When he tries to call in, he realizes that something is not right. That’s when his friend and co-worker, Frank, calls him and informs him of what just happened to their workplace. JR finds himself in a world that grows increasingly surreal with every passing day. There are basic facts about himself are missing from his memory. When was his birthday again? Taking place in Chicago in the near future, strange buildings, strange events and stranger people populate this world on the other side of the looking glass. JR is left to struggle with his new job and new surroundings, but luckily his old friend Frank is still there to help guide him. He makes many friends who have interesting takes on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. First alerted by Frank, JR slowly becomes aware of a danger lurking in the background that is gradually spreading despite the fact that no one else seems to notice it or acknowledge that he might be on to something. All of this combines to make the novel Continuity about fear, anxiety and paranoia in a perplexing world that seems to be both real and not real at the same time. Rumored to be about 15 chapters and less than 200 pages the novel is written in a first person perspective that breaks the forth wall and will either leave you laughing with delight or scratching your head in confusion, or maybe both!? The one thing it won’t be is boring!
