"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No, Zack."
"Yes, Zoe"
I sighed. He's never going to give up, is he?
"Why not?"
"This was supposed to be my lazy Saturday, I don't want to go anywhere." I whined smashing my face into the pillow on the couch that I was currently lying face down on.
I heard Zack walk over to me and a second later, the pillow and my head was lifted then set down slightly higher than before. I looked up to see him sitting down with my head on his lap. I just sighed and set my head back down.
"Would you go if I got you ice-cream?" he asked, and I stayed laying still.
Should I?
I lifted my head a little and looked at him skeptically before dropping my head again.
"With sprinkles?" he asked hopefully. I lifted my head again and looked at him thinking. Just to mess with him, I put my head down again and I could hear his light sigh.
"Double scoop of ice-cream with sprinkles and a cherry on top?" he asked tapping my back lightly.
"Deal." I mumbled with my face still in the pillow with a smile on my face. I could hear his smooth chuckle as he poked at my back a little more.
"Come on." He whispered in my ear. I slowly pushed myself up and looked at him with a small smile on my face. He was grinning at me as I sat up completely.
"Aren't you hungover? Why would you want to go out?" I asked curiously.
"I was this morning but now it's pretty good. I'm never really extremely bad unless I get like blackout drunk or something." He said as he stood up and held out his hand. I grabbed it and he pulled me up to his chest before whispering in my ear.
"Now let's go get ice-cream."
I just giggled and ran up the stairs to grab my shoes before meeting him at the front door so we could be on our way. He sure did do a 180 overnight.
20 minutes later, Zack, Kyle, Cody, Sammy, and I were all in the car driving to go get ice-cream then hangout at the park that was fairly close to us. Zack and I walked to his house to get a car and gather up any of the boys that wanted to go. Eric couldn't because he had some 'stuff to take care of'.

I ended up just getting a single scoop with sprinkles because I probably wasn't going to eat all of it if I got two.
We were now pulling up to the park. Everyone piled out of the car and the boys immediately started messing around. I laughed at them as Cody shoved Kyle out of the way to get to the swings. They're basically a bunch of little kids in bigger stronger bodys. I walked over to the playground and a second later, Zack followed.
"So, who wants to play a game?" Zack said with an evil smirk on his face.
"Oh gosh, probably not me?" I said jokingly as the rest of the boys joined us.
"It's called hide and seek tackle tag." Zack said, and all the boys faces broke out into grins.
"Let me guess, it's basically hide and seek but if you're found, the seeker has to tackle you?" I said with raised brows.
"Yup." Kyle said with a grin that stretched ear to ear.
"Who over is found and tackled first, is it the next round." Cole said.
"Okay, well I'm not it the first round." Is all I said with a shrug. If I were playing with a group of strangers, I probably would refuse to play in fear of being sumo football tackled to the ground, but I knew the boys wouldn't kill me. Well I hoped at least.
'Not its' went around the group and Zack was the last one so he immediately started counting down from 60. Everyone looked at each other in panic for a second before splitting off our own separate ways and trying to find a spot. I smirked as I found a tall leafy tree that was low enough that I could climb up into it.

Zack continued to count down. I quickly climbed my way up the tree few branches and waited as Zack continued his count down.
"Ready or not, here I come you little shits." I heard him call out making me snicker.
A minute later I heard a high-pitched scream and a thud.
Looks like Cody was found.
I put my hand over my mouth to keep me from laughing and getting caught. Over the next 5 minutes, I heard the other two people get tackled and start to joke around with each other as Zack looked around for me. I held my breath as Zack walked closer to the tree.

I shifted and instantly regretted it as it made more noise than I thought it would. Zack walked over to the tree and looked up with a smirk. I laughed for a second before realizing he still had to tackle me. Probably not the smartest idea to go up in a tree.
"Found you." He said as he started to climb the tree.
I quickly made my way to the opposite side and climbed down to the lowest branch and jumped down. He saw me and immediately jumped down too as I took off running across the field. I heard hoots and cheers as I ran, and Zack bolted after me.
I slowed down because I was laughing and turned around to walk backwards and hold my hands out. Zack made it to me and continued to creep forward like an animal stalking its prey as I just laughed nervously.
"Look, you caught me. Can't we just forget about the whole tackling thing and call it even?" I asked as I continued to walk backwards.
He just grinned evilly at me and right as I stumbled a little, took that as an opportunity to leap forward and grab my waist so he could tackle me to the ground. It didn't hurt as I think that was the most gentle tackle ever. He even went and put his hand behind my head to make sure I didn't hit it on the ground.
Once I was fully down, he grabbed my wrists and pinned them beside my head as I continued to laugh, and he chuckled at me. My laughing stopped as he leaned down and buried his head in my neck. His lips brushed over the sensitive spot right below my ear.
"Gotcha." He whispered before pulling back and looking at my probably red face. He stood up with a smirk and let go of my one wrists but slid his other hand into mine and helped pull me up.
A laugh bubbled up in my chest as I looked over to the boys to see Cody turned around with his arms crossed around his back making it look like he was making out with somebody. Kyle was humping the air and Sammy was just laughing hysterically at the two. My face flushed more as we got a little closer.
"You're just jealous." Zack said to them before winking at me.
My phone started ringing in my pocket and I fished it out before looking at who was calling. It was Julie so I hit the answer button and brought the phone up to my ear.
"Hey!" I chirped.
"Hey!" she happily said back.
"What's up?" I asked as I watched the boys mess with each other out of the corner of my eye.
"I was just bored, by the way, did you know its Mark Pellegrino's birthday tomorrow?" she said making me laugh.
"No, I didn't know that." I said amused. Before she could say something else, Cody yelled over to me.
"Come on Zoe!" he yelled, and I just nodded at him and held up a finger.
"Who are you with?" Julie asked, her mood instantly changing.
"The boys minus Eric." I said slightly curious as to why her mood dropped so fast.
"Oh, why didn't you invite me?" she asked, and I could instantly picture the frown on her face. Oh, that's why.
"It was kind of last minute, sorry." I said frowning.
"Okay, well have fun." She said and before I could answer, she hung up on me. I just stared at my phone for a second thinking before Zack appeared next to me.
"Everything alright?" he asked inquisitively. I just nodded and smiled up at him.
"Yeah, let's go." I said and he grabbed my hand so we could start to make our way back over to the boys. I slipped my phone back into my pocket and tried to push the call out of my mind.
What was up with her?

8 180Barry Buckman and the Interdimensional Beastiary
In the beginning of 2021 I did something possibly stupid, I hired a ghostwriting company to write one of the many ideas going on in my head since I was busy with my job. Unfortunately... They were not the greatest, after the first writer assigned to me left I was stuck with... We'll just call her 'Karen'. Karen didn't want to listen to my feedback on chapters, and turned what was supposed to be a long story about a young guy surviving on an island of supernatural and crazy stuff, and becoming stronger from it, was turned into a not so great romance novel.I plan on releasing another one, probably after this that will be Barry Buckman Redux, which will be me writing it out the way I originally envisioned it.
