《My Brother's Best Friend》Chapter 29

Cameron comes out of the bathroom about a half hour after me, nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist. While I showered he replaced the sheets and threw the old ones in the wash, not even so much as a complaint from him.
Such a man.
My body may be sore, but it feels like I'm on a cloud. I don't know how this night went from being so terrible to so incredible, but I'm not complaining whatsoever.
Cameron loves me. He finally admitted his feelings for me, and I couldn't be happier. I can't wait to tell Maya. She's going to lose her shit.
I glance around at our scattered clothing around the floor, a smile still placed upon my lips when he comes back to the bed. I have the ice pack between my thighs, but somehow that doesn't even touch the heat I'm feeling down there when he releases the towel and tosses it to the floor, his whole body on display to me for the second time tonight.
"What?" He chuckles when he looks at the expression on my face.
"I'm just so happy." I admit, and his smile grows twice the size.
Just when I think he's going to lay down with me, he turns to his closet and rummages through a few things before he pulls out one of his game jerseys.
"You're the only girl that I actually wanted to wear this by the way." He smirks, passing it over to me. Butterflies erupt everywhere as I run the fabric between my fingers. "Keep it."
"Thank you." I nod, and laugh again from all of the happiness. "Do you think Kelsey is going to be pissed you ditched her tonight?"
He shrugs, finally laying down beside me. "Probably at first. She's never been one to think that it was serious between us though, so I don't think she'll be mad for too long. She'll find someone else before the end of the night. Trust me."

"And Sadie?" I arch a brow up, and that causes him to laugh.
"Yeah..." he chuckles. "Now her I'm not so sure about."
It's going to be hard to keep this hidden from everyone, but he's all I've ever wanted. I will do whatever it takes to keep him.
Cam can tell I'm overthinking because he rolls on top of me again and brushes my cheek with the back of his hand.
"I don't give a shit if she finds out." He says. "I don't care if anyone finds out. It'll be a hell of a lot easier if we can keep this a secret, but if it gets out then we'll figure it out."
"And Ethan?" I shudder at the thought, but Cam just smiles.
"I think he's going to handle it better than you think."
"Are we talking about the same person?" I ask. "Ethan? My brother? The one who almost attacked Mark for asking me to the dance?"
Cam stares at me like he knows something I don't, but instead of telling me he lets out a sigh and starts to play with my hair.
"Speaking of Mark..." he mutters. "What'd he do to you tonight?"
Images of his hands roughly pinning me down in his backseat seep into my head, and I didn't think it would make me cry, but I find myself blinking tears away.
"Mads, what did he do?"
I shake my head, almost as if that will get the thoughts to leave. "He was just forceful." I cringe. "We got into his backseat to watch a stupid movie, which I was an idiot to ever fall for an idea like that in the first place. I thought we were going for a drive, but he sprung the plan on me last minute."
Cameron continues to play with my hair, and it's so relaxing that I find myself briefly closing my eyes. Somehow with him here it's making it easier to talk about. He's listening to me completely, like I'm the only girl in the world to him.

"The movie started and he just kept trying to put his hands..." I pause when Cam's body stiffens, and this time I start to run my fingers through his hair. I don't want him to be angry. "He just kept trying to get underneath my dress." I choke out. "I tried to push him away, but he..."
"He what?" Cam asks, almost as if he can't wait another minute to find out.
"He pinned me down so that I couldn't move." I tell him, and when Cam starts to get out of the bed I grab onto his arm. "Cam, stop." I plead. "What are you doing?"
"He can't get away with that." He says. "I'm not going to let him get away with doing that to you."
"You can't do anything." I beg, setting the ice pack beside me so that I can sit up on my knees, crawling to the edge of the bed so that I can hold onto him. "What is beating him up going to do? It's just going to make it obvious what's going on between us, and trust me when I say I'd rather have you than have him be beat up. Please, don't do anything."
I grab onto his cheeks with my hands, seeing his green eyes clouded with anger. He's distant, and I can see all of the ideas going on in his head right now.
"Cam." I whisper, refocusing his attention back on me. "I'm yours now, okay? He's never going to be able to do that to me again."
His mouth parts and then closes again when he hears me, eventually letting out a sigh before he rests his forehead against mine.
"Fine." He mutters in defeat. "But I'm never speaking to him again."
"And that's okay." I smile, appreciating the way his hair is all messed up from my fingers running through it earlier. "This night has been perfect because of you. You have made it perfect."
His body is still tense beneath my touch, jaw still clenched. I want to relax him, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't want whatever the hell happened earlier to happen again.
I press my lips against his, and almost instantly I feel his muscles relax as his hands begin to run down my back. I pull him back with me onto the bed once more, and as he begins to kiss down my neck I let out another moan.
"Aren't you sore?" He asks.
I nod, my breathing jagged as he gently scrapes his teeth along my collarbone. "Y-yes." I stammer. "But I want you again."
"Mmm." He chuckles, and his voice is all raspy, turning my body to complete and utter jello. "That's hot."
I'm ready in the matter of seconds. It doesn't take much from him to get me going. From the lust in his eyes, to the way those full, pink lips are glistening from his kisses, I roll over to open up his bedside table and grab another condom myself.
"Please." I beg, and that same flirtatious smirk I fell in love with appears onto his face.
He takes the condom from me and rips the package open with his teeth, never losing eye contact with me for a second.
I can't breathe.
My body is so hot with want that I find myself squirming with anticipation as I watch him roll it on and place himself against my entrance.
"Anything for you." He mutters, and he enters inside of me once more, bringing us both to the state of utter relaxation.
