I hear the front door shut and I run to my window. I see my older brother leaving and getting into his friends car. I sigh to myself, "when will I have friends...that I'll be able to hang out with" I think to myself as I watch the red Honda Civic drive away.

I stare out the window a bit until I can't see the car. I walk over to my bed and flop myself down onto it. I look over at my unicorn shaped clock on the side of my bedside table. I'm really bored, I don't get why mom won't just get me a phone like my brother and sister have. Even if I did get a phone who would I even call or text? No one at school even wants to talk to me. So why would they give me their numbers to talk outside of school

I cross my arms and just stare at the ceiling making of fake scenarios in my head. I giggle at some of them, where I have friends and we make jokes and have fun. A small smile grows on my face.

"Mena! Ven aquí necesito tu ayuda!" (Mena! Come over here I need your help!) I hear my mom call for me. I get off bed and walk downstairs.

I go into the kitchen where I see my mom cooking dinner for tonight. "Si mama?" (Yes mom) I say.

My mom turns around and motions me to come towards her. I move towards here and stand next to her.

"Necesito que me laves estos platos sucios" (I need you to wash these dirty dishes for me) she tells me and moves out the way. I make a whiny voice a little. I hate washing dishes it's so boring. I mumble a fine and she moves out the way.

I roll up my sleeves from my Minecraft creeper shirt and turn on the water. I start to wash the dishes. My mom starts to sing a soft melody as she cooks. I enjoy her singing a lot, it soothes me.

"cuando termine de lavar los platos, puedo ir a jugar en la computadora de mi hermano?" (When I finish washing these dishes can I go and play on my brothers computer?) I ask my mom as nicely as possible. He's not even here so he wouldn't know and my mom knows that.

She gives me a look at first, "si solo si terminas de lavar los platos y me sacas la ropa de la secadora" ( yes only if you finish washing the dishes and take the laundry out of the dryer for me) she tells me putting green tomatoes and jalapeños to boil on the stove.

I squeal eagerly and finish the dishes as fast as possible. I really love using my brothers computer it's so much fun and all the games I play on them! I've been trying to get my parents to buy me one but they said I'm to young. As soon as I finished the dishes I run to the dryer and look for the laundry basket. Ugh, it's not in here. My sister probably has it.

I run up the stairs, "no corras en las escaleras" (don't run up the stairs!) my mom hollers at me. I slow down but still try to go as fast as I can without my mom noticing. I walk into my sisters room without knocking.

"Dude knock before entering!" My sister tells me while on the phone. Why does everyone have friends but me...

"Um...do you have the um...laundry basket?" I ask.

She points at the corner of the room and I grab it. It still has all her clothes in it so I dump it onto her bed. She gives me an angry look and I just smile and run out before she yells at me.

I go back down to the laundromat and straight to the dryer. I hurriedly take the clothes out and then put the next load to dry. My mom didn't ask me to do that but maybe it'll get me some brownie points with her.

I grab the basket now filled with clothes and put it in the clean clothes section. I run out of the room and go straight to my brothers room. I go and turn the knob but it's locked. Maybe this is a sign I shouldn't go onto his computer. I groan, but I'm so bored.

Hmm...maybe I can use my dads? I mean he isn't here right now and my mom is cooking. My sister wouldn't notice either that I'm in my dads office. I make my way to my dads office and find his door is unlock. I smile at this, I close the door behind me as I walk in.

I walk in and sit on the big office chair. I turn on his computer and put in the password. As soon as it's on look in my dads drawer for some earbuds and find some plugging them in.

Hmm what game should I play? I scroll down the games that are on this computer until I find one I like. It's an online lobby game I click on it and it loads up.

I decide on picking archer and the game takes me to another screen. Once it loads I see a bunch of other players on. Wow, this is so cool!

I walk around for a bit until I see someone circling around me. "Hi!" I type into the chat.

"Hello!" They type back into the chat. I smile at this, wow someone is actually talking to me.

"Are you new?" They ask me.

"Yup!"

"I am too wanna help each other out?" They ask

"Sure!" I type in excitedly that someone wants to play with me.

"Want to hop into my VC with me?" They ask.

"Okay!" I say and click on his voice chat.

"Hi there!" He says. He sounds to be around the same age as me and his voice is funny with an accents

"Hello, uh I'm Carmen!" I say happily.

"Hey I'm Liam," Liam tells me.

We continue to play for hours. We have fun conversation from what our favorite color is to what we do on our spare times. Turns out he's from The U.K that's why his voice has an accent. We have so much fun laughing and leveling up on the game.

My mom then calls me down for dinner.

"Hey I've got to log off but I sent you a friend request so we can play later!" I say.

"Yeah I saw I accepted it. Maybe we can play other games as well!" He tells me

"Yeah that'll be fun but I've got to go now bye!" I say

"Bye Carmen!" He tells me as I log off the game and shut the computer down.

"Okay that level was pretty hard to beat guys. But I did it!" I say.

"Omg thanks Riot! But I'm about to end my live!" I say laughing a bit. Liam joins my voice chat.

"We so sad we thought you were still gonna be live Ceaseless!" He tells me as a joke.

"No sadly, but I'm going to raid someone!"

"Oh can I pick please!" Liam says pleading at me jokingly. I sigh sarcastically at him.

"Fine I guess you can."

Liam looks for someone then tells me, "You should Raid Symplix, he only has 1 viewer."

"Alright everyone I'll see you in the next stream go have fun at this new streamers stream!"

I put into my computer a command and go over to raid Symplix. His viewer count goes up to 15. I smile at this, I remember only having 1 viewer. I mean sometimes I still get 1 viewer but still I like seeing others peoples count go up!

I turn my stream off and just stay chatting with Liam for a good while. We talk about how I should upgrade my PC. This is just a handy down from my brother. It's his old PC and he let me keep it. After a couple hours I get a message through my discord

"Liam the Symplix guy sent me a message and wants to stream together!" I say excitedly.

"Really? You should add him to the call so we can all chat." Liam suggest. I agree to this and ask him if he wants to VC for a bit. He agrees and I add him.

"Hi I'm Jayson," he says also have an accent. We all talk for a good while. He's really interesting. We talk from where we are from and what things we like. What games are our favorite. Turns out he's also from the U.K and live just 2 hours away from Liam. Jayson is only one year older than both me and Liam . We all laugh and have a good time.

As time passes I don't feel so alone anymore when I'm talking to them...
