《Ravenwolf's Rose》Sizzling Chemistry

"Alright... I think they're gone..." I tried pushing Jackson away from me but every time I did he acted like a human magnet and fell back into my body.

"Just another moment..." I then pinched him and he winced. When he backed away and rubbed his arm I grabbed his other arm and dragged him forward.

"You're such a troublemaker."

"You scaled the fence too."

"This isn't about me right now... you should go home more often. Your family needs you more than you think they do."

"Why the sudden change in subject? We were so romantic back there just like in one of those dramas..." I exhaled and turned around, crossing my arms.

"Stop making excuses for yourself..."

"They are better without me."

"When is the last time you ever tried to see if anything has changed? If you haven't tried to understand your family or if you haven't made the effort to get to know them or for them to get to know you, then you'll forever live in the memories of your past instead of moving forward"

That comment seemed to cut deep. He walked past me without saying anything, I sighed, kicking myself lightly... I shouldn't have said it like that. But what else could I do?

Obviously he missed his family but it seemed like he was afraid of living in the present... not wanting to forget the past by preserving the best memories he has of his family?

When we got to the fence I leaned forward and held onto his arm. He looked back at me and I told him I was "sorry..." he smiled and pat the top of my shoulder.

"Let's get out of here..." he smiled again and he began scaling the fence. I looked around before he encouraged me to head over. He insisted he would "catch me." I laughed at the thought.

"I made a safe landing earlier I'll be fine," although I insisted he told me that this part of the park's fence was a little higher. I did realize that but I didn't think it would be different. Maybe a few feet...

"Hazel... trust me, I'd be better if I help."

"I'll be fine!" when I reached the other side I slowly slid down. But when I heard the guards in the background I got spooked and lost my footing. When I fell back I anticipated the worse but Jackson was there to break my fall.

However, while doing so, Jackson yelped out. I looked over at him sitting on the ground holding onto his ankle.

He must have twisted it or landed on it awkwardly.

"Oh no!! I'm sorry Jackson!" The guards seemed to have heard him so I quickly put his arm around my shoulder and I helped him forward. He hopped forward on his good foot. When the guards were out of sight again I took out my phone.

"Who are you calling?"

"Who do you think..." Jackson sighed and I dialed James' number.

About 30 minutes later James arrived at the side of a road we directed him too. When he got out of his car he was a little startled. He came over to Jackson immediately and looked at his ankle.

"Do I even want to know how this happened?"

"Dance practice," Jackson said while chuckling. James must have squeezed something and Jackson groaned.

"Let's get him to a hospital," I said and Jackson immediately protested. "Fine, then we'll take him back to the mansion," James started helping him up and Jackson looked at me and grinned.

"You could take me back to my hotel," he said and I laughed with him and then said, "your home or the hospital... your choice." Jackson sighed and James helped him to the passenger side. He closed the door and then turned to me.

"Sorry about this again..." I smiled up at James.

"Do you know what's close by in this area of town?" he looked confused and I motioned for him to look over. It took him a moment to realize where we were.

"I wish I could have seen the young kids of Ravenwolf having a carefree day together..." I then got into the car myself. I had hoped I didn't overstep, but it seemed like James was able to crack a slight grin so I smiled to myself.

James got into the car and we all drove back to the mansion together. James turned on the radio and I leaned back on the seat to rest.

When we got back to the mansion James and I helped Jackson to the front.

"Let's bring him to the guest room on this floor," I nodded and Jackson winced. He suddenly leaned towards me.

"I rather Hazel take me to my room," I rolled my eyes.

"Just be grateful we both got you out of the mess you got us into."

"But she also--" I covered his mouth and leaned over to say to James: "just bring the car around, I'll take him," James looked at us suspiciously but slowly walked away. Jackson chuckled and I glared at him.

"This is a secret between us," he smiled at me.

"What do I get for my silence?" he hobbled forward with me and I scoffed.

"You're trying to bargain in a situation like this?"

"Well, I'm a little bitter about having to stay home when I don't want to be here so... you can take care of me while I'm healing," I gasped and stopped mid-way. He hopped in place regaining his balance.

"Why am I-- why do I have to look after you?"

"Who collided into who and caused this?" he pointed at his ankle pitifully. I bit my lower lip.

"That was an accident and besides I'm not your personal nurse."

"I didn't say you had to be. Just from time to time."

"I don't believe you," he laughed and then wrapped his arm around me again. The height difference between me and the Ravenwolf guys was no joke. Luckily I had been training for a long time to bear their weight literally.

"Come on... just until I feel better..." I sighed and he continued pressing me right until I arrived at one of the guest rooms. When he sat on the bed he looked up at me whimsically with such a seductive smile and I leaned forward and grabbed his ears and he whined.

"Fine, but only until you heal," he smiled and at that moment James came in with a first aid kit. I excused myself but watched after a concerned James accessing Jackson's ankle...

After a long, restful night I walked downstairs to check in on Jackson. When I got to the guest room I knocked. There were no movements inside. I knocked again and there was nothing. A little worried I decided to open the door, but no one was there...

I thought about where he could be and moments later there was a noise coming from down the hall. I followed after it instinctively. When I got to one of the main bathrooms on the ground level I opened the door and saw Jackson struggling to keep a towel around his waist. I gasped and turned around. Why did I get myself into these situations?

"While you're here you can help!" Jackson laughed.

"Why didn't you call one of your brother's to help?"

"I didn't think that far ahead," he laughed again. "I tried picking my conditioner up but I can't bend down well..."

"Then why not leave it?"

"Come on, Haze--"

"Don't call me--" I turned around again angrily and saw his chiseled body. His carved out six-pack, deep V into his... I saw how beautifully sculpted this man was... a little more muscular than Kai, who was a little more toned... I nearly fainted.

What the--

What on earth was I doing?

I needed to rinse my eyes out... I turned around again. Jackson seemed amused and hopped over to my direction.

"Women normally love undressing me with their eyes so this is the first time I feel doubly naked... is it possible to undress someone with your eyes whose already naked?" I gasped not realizing he was behind me and I glared up at his playful expression. Some stray water droplets from his hair fell onto my bare shoulder.

"So what if you have a nice body?"

"Thank you," I cleared my throat and then walked forward.

"Don't be so full of yourself, Jackson. It's not like I haven't seen naked men before and besides..." I turned to look at him again, "It's not that overwhelming..." he chuckled at me and I turned around again.

I swear these guys were going to shave years off of my existence. Where was I getting this baseless confidence from?

I sat in the kitchen eating my breakfast. Jackson entered fully clothed with a single crutch I assumed James must have gotten for him. He tried meeting my gaze but I avoided him. He walked towards me and sat in front of me. He tried meeting my gaze a few times.

"I wonder if you were an ostrich in a previous life?" I nearly gawked at him.

"Your head has been like this since I walked in..." he tried imitating me while moving his head around in multiple directions. I finally made eye contact with him and he smiled while reaching forward to take some of the granola I made a few nights ago.

"You shouldn't move around so much when you're sick."

"I can't be deprived of a basic necessity like bathing."

"That's not the issue. You should have asked someone for help."

"I'm not opposed to an assisted washcloth bath. You could spearhead that project," he smiled at me again and I smiled right back at him.

"Not funny," I aimed my fork at him and then said, "don't come any closer to me" he laughed again and held his hand to his chest in defense.

"Whose eyes violated who first?"

"Don't be dramatic--"

At that moment, someone else walked into the kitchen...
