step out of the bathroom after having a quick shower, change into my nightgown, and pack my hair into a ponytail. My phone beeped twice and I picked it up from the bed to check what it is. It is a message from an unknown number, I click on the message eagerly.
What I saw next made my mouth hang open in shock as a faint sheen of sweat rose along my upper lip and I shudder with horror.
Fear grips me as I stroll through the pictures sent to me, one is a picture of me in front of the house with Ashley. There is a picture of me laughing with Jason at the cafe, most of the pictures here are pictures of me and Jason. I also noticed that Jason's face is crossed out in all the pictures.
I hate to share what is mine.
I reread the message over and over again not knowing what to do, the realization that someone is stalking me dawns on me and it terrifies the hell out of me. A new message from the same number pops into my phone and I quickly open it. It contains pictures of me when I was still in high school, pictures of me and Claire as we walk to and fro the school. The last picture shook me to the core, there is a picture of me in my room, sleeping on the bed.
The stalker was in my room! My phone fell with a thud and I cover my face with my trembling hands as tears starts streaming down my face. I need to leave this house, I don't feel safe here anymore and I have got a stalker! A stalker! In my room! I don't think I can sleep in this room tonight.
I picked up my pillow and rush to the door, my hand is on the doorknob and I'm about to open up when I hear a knock on the door. I remove my hand from the doorknob as if it's on fire and immediately lock the door with its keys. Could it be the stalker?

"W-who is there?" I stammer while looking around for something I can defend myself with within the room.
"It's me. May I come in?" I hear Ashley's muffled voice from the other side.
I breathe out in relief, quickly wipe my tears and unlock the door for her. "Yes, come in."
She opens the door and walks in with her pillow and phone. "Can I sleep here tonight? Please." She begs with a pout of her lips.
In other cases, I would have teased and laughed at her for not wanting to sleep in her room but right now, she's a lifesaver. "We can both go and sleep in your room if you don't want to sleep alone."
"It's not like I don't want to sleep alone, I don't feel like sleeping in my room." she insisted.
"O-okay, you can..."
"What is wrong with you Sasha? Your eye are red like you have been crying." Ash lifts my chin and stares into my eyes but I quickly take a step back.
"No, I'm fine...just tired," I assure her with a fake laugh.
"O-okay." Ash nods. I can't say if she fell for my lie or not as she jumped straight to my bed.
I look around the room for the umpteenth time as I slowly made my way to the bed, my phone which is still on the floor started ringing all of a sudden. I stare at it in fear while contemplating whether to pick it or not.
"Sasha... Are you sure you're okay? Why are you looking so pale like you just saw a ghost?"
"I'm fine." I pick the phone from the floor and check the caller ID. It's Claire.
"Sasha!" she squeals in excitement and I smile despite everything.
"Hey, Claire. How is it going in Florida?" she went to Florida to spend her summer with her aunt and we have been communicating over the phone.
"Great, I went to the beach with the boys. Do you know that Carl can surf?"

"Really? That's awesome."
I turn to Ash and smile when I see that she is already soundly asleep, I walk out of the room to get a glass of water from the kitchen while listening to Claire rant about how much fun she's having over there.
Cassie sneaks out of her room which is opposite Jace's room at midnight while grasping a small bottle tightly. She took determined steps to Sasha's room and let herself in quietly. Inside the darkroom, she can make out the sleeping figure of someone on the bed. She stares at her sleeping figure in hatred while adjusting her face cap and shades.
Cassie opens the window of the room widely while steeling herself for what she's about to do. The figure is sleeping with a side of her face on the bed but Cassie needs her whole face, she removes the cap of the bottle gently and taps the sleeping figure on the leg twice. The sleeping figure stretches on the bed before sitting up sleepily, Cassie didn't wait for her to wake up fully, she reacted instinctively by pouring the contents of the bottle on her face immediately. Seconds after dumping the liquid on her face, she realized her mistake.
"Shit!" she ran out of the room as quickly as she could and rushed to her room.
"Claire, can we talk tomorrow?" I yawn sleepily while struggling to keep my eyes open. We have both been on video call for over an hour now and I am already dozing off.
"Okay, bye." She waves with a wide smile.
"Bye." I return the smile and hang up, I jump off the kitchen table and was making my way to my room when a piercing scream fills the whole house all of a sudden.
Fear grips me as I run out of the kitchen, the scream is coming from my room. Ashley! I was running to my room when I spot a figure dressed in black with a face cap enter Cassie's room. I pause at Cassie's room afraid that whosoever it is might hurt Cassie when I heard the urgent scream again.
Jace also walk out of his room, we both stare at each other in shock for some seconds before running to my room, we met Ashley rolling on the floor with her hand covering her face.
"Ashley!" Jace removes her hand from her face slowly and an uncontrollable scream tore out of my mouth before I could stop it when I saw her injured face. There is blood streaming down her face as she kept on crying and scratching her already bruised face.
"C-call the am-ambulance!" He threw his phone at me with quivering hands and scoop Ash into his arms.
He hurries out of the room with Ash while I call the ambulance, I can't remember what I said over the phone but I remember calling out the house address. I was trailing after an anxious Jace when I suddenly heard a scream coming from Cassie's room, that is when I recall seeing a figure run into her room but I was distracted then.
A security guard rushed in at that moment. "What is going on here? I heard a..."
"Cassie." My hand shook as I pointed towards her room, the security guard took the hint and hurried to her room.
The ambulance arrived at that moment and the sound of their sirens filled everywhere and join them outside. The paramedics carry an already passed-out Ash from Jace and place her on the stretcher. I suddenly see the security guard rushing out of the house with a bleeding Cassie.
"What happened to her?" Jace asks before I can.
"She was stabbed in the stomach." He replies while helping the paramedics place her on the stretcher.
I stay in the ambulance with Ash while Jace trailed behind us with his car while making a few calls.
