" is what you asked for babe." Ace mumbles as he hands over the small bottle to Cassie who collected it eagerly.

"Awwwn...I love you so much." She leans towards him and gave him a chaste kiss on the lips.

"Cassie..." Ace started, he looks tense and worried as he stare at Cassie with a serious expression on his face.

"What is it, Ace?"

"I don't know what you need this for but you have to be careful, I mean really careful because if you're caught..."

Cassie stops him mid-sentence by placing a finger on his lips. "Shh...I will never get caught."

With a wide grin Ace, grabs her wrist and place a soft kiss on it. "Whatever you say then. So are you ready to go in?"

"Yes, let's go have some fun." Cassie chuckles.

Ace got out of the car, rushed to her side to open the door for her and they both made their way into the clubhouse.

I'm leaving the Jeffersons for good, even though I'm going to miss Ashley a lot. I don't want her to know about my plans to leave because if she does, she will surely be heartbroken and I don't want that to be the last memory I will have about her. Yes last memory, I'm certain we may not cross paths again since she has been given admission to a university in Australia where her parents wanted her to further her education. As for me, I got the scholarship I have been working hard for at Clayton University.

I am on my way back from inspecting the house my mother left for me after her death, the house is about an hour's drive from the Jeffersons' residence. I plan to move into the house, look for a part-time job and start afresh. Even though it is going to be hard walking away from Jace, I know that I have to do it, I have to move on and stop yearning for things that are never going to happen.

I bumped into someone or rather, someone bumped into me. I tilted my head back to see a good-looking guy presumably in his early twenties, he is dressed in a white wife beater and black trousers.

"I'm sorry." He apologizes quickly while taking a step back to study me from head to toes. "Are you hurt?"

"No," I say with a small laugh.

"I'm Jason." He stretches his hand towards me for a handshake which I returned.

"Sasha."

"What a beautiful name for a beautiful lady." He compliments with a goofy grin.

"Thank you. Do you live around here?"

"Yes, actually my place is not that far from here. I was just taking a walk, you know?"

"Alright."

"What about you? Do you also live here?"

"No, but I will soon be moving here."

"Really? That's great."

"Yeah." I chuckle.

There is a comfortable silence between us as he walks beside me quietly while I try to look for a taxi.

"I know a cafe about a few blocks from here, do you mind if I take you there for a cup of coffee?" He asks suddenly.

I pause midway and turn around to face him while thinking about his offer. Well, he doesn't strike me as a jerk, he looks responsible and polite.

"And we...we can get to know more about each other?" He offers nervously and I almost laugh at how cute he looks.

But not as cute as Jace. The voice at the back of my mind says and my mind wanders over to Jace, here I was thinking I could go around doing my thing for the whole day without thinking about him. I scoff internally, who am I deceiving?

I snap out of my thoughts and see that Jason is still waiting for me to decide. I could really use his company, I have been mopping around lately so I need to cheer up even if it's for a while and there is nothing to lose if I decided to go with him. Besides, I should make a new friend before I move to this area so that I won't feel so lonely and he told me his place isn't far from here.

"Sure, no problem."

"Where have you been Sasha? I called you but you didn't pick up my calls, I was worried." Ash asks the moment I stepped into the sitting room.

My day with Jason was great, it turns out that he is an architect and he is a funny guy. I laughed in a way I haven't in a long time and he didn't try to probe into my personal life in any way, he is quite a nice guy.

I plop down on the chair beside Ashley and try to grab some fries from the plate in front of her but she slaps my hand away with a glare while taking a sip of her lemonade.

"And here you are enjoying." I tease.

"I was worried." She placed a hand on her heart in mock hurt.

"I know, I know. Well, I went out...you know for a stroll." I lied smoothly. The last thing I want is for her to find out that I'm planning to leave the house.

"It sure was a looong stroll." She drawls in amusement, clearly not buying the lie.

I open my mouth to give her a reply when I suddenly spot Madam Emily walking down the stairs, she is dressed like she is going out.

I turn to Ashley in panic. "W-when did she get back? I thought she went to London."

"She came in not quite long." She whispers back. "Mom. Where are you going to? You just came back." Ash tries to hide the hurt on her face but I can see it.

"I have an emergency meeting with a client of mine but don't worry darling, I won't be traveling out of the country anytime soon."

"W-welcome back ma'am." I greeted politely but also with apprehension. We haven't really talked since Jace came back from the hospital.

"What are you still doing in this house?" She addressed me harshly.

"I-I..." I gulp and look at my feet, not knowing what to say.

"Mom! This is Sasha, have you forgotten? It's Sasha." Ash tries to defend me.

"Will you keep your mouth shut? Was I speaking to you?" She chastised her before turning back to me. "Answer me."

"You didn't ask me to leave?" I ask tentatively, what is going on?

"True. I should have done that after everything that happened but I forgot, my bad. Do you remember what the deal was when I picked you up from the streets?" Madam Emily asks with a slight raise of her right eyebrow.

"Y-yes, I work for you and you enroll me in high school." I stutter in response while rubbing my clammy hands against my dress nervously.

"Good. Haven't you graduated from high school already? Why are you still here?..." I was about to respond when she shut me up with a raise of her hand. "Don't answer that, I know. You're still here so that you can continue seducing my already engaged son, you shameless gold digger."

Ouch! This hurts so much, it really does. What is wrong with everyone? Why are they all against my relationship with Jace? Because he is the heir to his father's numerous companies and well, I am...was a maid?

"I mean did you really think I will let my son get engaged to a maid like you?" She scoffs with revulsion.

"I don't like what you're doing mom, I don't." Ash whines but was ignored.

"I give you three days to leave this house, I don't want you near my son."

"Mom!" Ash tried again.

"Do you hear me? Three days." Just then her phone starts to ring, she picked it up and walked out of the house while barking orders at the person on the other line.

I take a deep breath while willing myself not to cry.

Ashley pulls me into a warm embrace. She didn't say anything, she didn't give any false reassurance or sympathize with me but she gave me her shoulder to cry on.

Now I know that I really need to leave this house, I can't stand this anymore.
