*Months later*

Leahs POV

It has been months since Jennifer left and quite frankly everything has changed for the worse. Joe and Mia got together not even a week later. I guess that day my father was vulnerable was just reality hitting him like truck but I guess he didn't care. I've tried so many ways to contact Jennifer but I couldn't. I feel like I don't know what to do with myself everyday. I feel so lost even though we were never together. All we did was mess around and it's horrible to think about but that was my dad's girlfriend.

Like I said Jennifer had completely vanished. There is no trace of her anywhere. The worse part is I don't where she works and I guess my dad doesn't know either but he never really cared about anything.

Well after graduating a couple months ago I had started looking for college's but I don't know really know where to go. Not going to college had crossed my mind multiple times but I know I have to because I can't just depend on my dad. I'm most likely going to the one closest to my dads house. But at the same time I don't want to even be close to him. So I decided to actually stay on the campus because I'm so ready to get out this shit hole.

Since Joe and Mia got together it just been bad. She does nothing with her life. All she does is want to shopping or ask my dad for money which obviously I saw coming seeing the looks from her. She doesn't even take care of Maria which is pathetic. My dad doesn't even notice half the time because he is no where to be seen and no one knows where he is going.

"It's the same for me" she said looking at me with teary eyes but she quickly looked away. "How is your dad? Is he alright?" She asked concerned and I liked at her feeling bad because he already moved on from her. "He's good, him and Mia got together" I muttered and she didn't even looked phased. I could realize that was a touchy subject because it got quite. "You know, I still don't know how you look so stunning" I said trying to make her smile and I was successful. "I would ask the same thing to you" she said and blushed.

We came across a park and we sat on the bench. She sat very close to me since it was a little cold tonight. I put my arm around her and pulled her closer. "You going to college?" She asked and I nodded. "Congrats! Are you excited?" I looked at her mesmerized on how cute she is when she is excited. "How could one human being be that adorable" I said and she looked down being shy. "Leah I'm not all that" she quietly said and I got offended. "Yes you are! You are the most talented, caring, wholesome, sexiest person on this planet" I said not really trying to yell. She looked at me smiling softly. I have to admit that gave me butterflies, I slowly started to lean in and she pulled back making me confused. "Umm we should head back" she whispered standing up waiting for me. I was confused but played it off and went with it.

We got back to the club and I introduced her to my friends, drunk friends. "Jennifahh" Lexi yelled and ran to Jennifer. "Hi baby" she smiled and I rolled my eyes and Lexi being totally dramatic. "Jennifer? isn't that your step mom?" One of the boys said making her uncomfortable. She started to look around awkwardly until she quickly walked past the big crowd heading to the exit.

She walked out and I walked out following her. "Jennifer wait!" I yelled slurring and she stopped walking. I walked up to her grabbing her shoulder and made her face me.
