《Lovely Villainess》Chapter 47

Arriving at the orphanage I was greeted by Oden and the children.
"Lady Lina!" The children shouted in unison.
Seeing them all gaining weight and living well, I couldn't help the smile that bloomed on my face.
"They all really adore you lady Lina." Oden said while leaning into my ear.
"I adore them as well." I said while greeting the children.
After spending time with the children, they had to wash up and take their naps for the day.
In turn, me and Odin were left alone.
"Mr. Odin I have something to check while I'm here. It might take a while."
"Why don't I join you?" He asked in a charming way.
"No, I'll have to pass up on that. It's something I have to check on my own."
"Oh, I see." he said with disappointment.
"But could you do me a favor?" I asked sweetly.
"Anything within my abilities my lady." He perked up at my statement.
"If my guards ask where I am, please tell them I am in the restroom and to not worry."
I could see that he had many questions but he didn't ask as he could see that I couldn't easily answer. He nodded after some hesitation.
"I'll be quick." After that I made my way to the green house, and wasted no time leaving through the secret exit. I was in such a rush that I failed to notice the gaze watching me.
I was making my way to Casper so I could get all the information on people who could hold a grudge against me or my family. I was rushing down a dark alley way about to turn a corner, but I ran into a hard chest. I lost my balance but I didn't fall due to large arms wrapping around me and steadying my stance.

"I'm sorr-" I was going to apologize but was stopped by the the very familiar eyes.
"Just the person I was looking for." Before I could respond he threw our bodies through an open door onto a bed.
"WHA-" Dumbfounded by how this was going I was about to scream but I was yet again interrupted by two men storming in with daggers in their hands.
Turning to look at them, they seem to be flustered.
"Did you see him rush in here?"
"I only saw him head down this way."
"Idiot."
They left as fast as they came, but once they left I finally realized why they were flustered. We looked like lovers sneaking around.
"Why the hell did you do that?" I said through gritted teeth while getting off of him.
"Because you were in the right place at the right time." He said with a playful smirk.
"More like wrong place, wrong time." I said in annoyance.
"It seems like you're more comfortable with me."
"You are mistaken, your Highness." I stated while bowing showing over formality.
"Oh, am I?" He said while raising an eyebrow with a smug smirk.
I could feel my eye twitching in annoyance.
"Yes you are. I must go now." I said while turning to leave.
"Wait." He grabbed my arm turning me around to face him.
"Aren't you curious why those me were chasing me?"
"Not really." I deadpanned.
"Ah, is that so? But I'm really curious about you." I could see where he was going with this, and I rolled my eyes in annoyance. I apologized to Oden in my heart, it seemed this trip wasn't going to be as fast as I thought it was going to be.
"What do you want to know?"

"If you're the same as me."
"Is that all. I can assure you we are n-"
"I think we are though. We different but the same. I'm very sure."
Yanking me closer to him his face was in inch away from my own. Looking at in the eye and holding my gaze. He whispered, "I'm different from before aren't I?"
His next words words shook me to the core.
"We are two of a kind, we both have died a miserable death and we both were played with by Kshipa."
Suddenly, memories that weren't my own filled my head. My head split with the continuous cries that clawed at me. My body even reacted on its own and I grabbed the dagger from my dress and held it Malik's neck, drawing a thin line of blood.
Even then he did not waver, rather he continued to hold my gaze as I shook with anger and fear.
"You-" My voice shook with many emotions.
"Now that I'm sure you're from the past. Can we talk? We are on the same side." He asked in a soft voice trying to calm me down.
"Why would I want to speak to the man who killed me?"
"It wasn't really me who killed you."
"But you were the one to give your soul to him."
"..." he couldn't refute my words.
I felt as if my body was going to crumble, I had to leave.
"Excuse me I have to head back now."
"Please know that I mean you no harm, rather I am on your side. To show you... you had a knight following you this whole time."
I froze at his words, a bit of panic seeping in.
"He seems like one of Casper's men." I relaxed at this.
"I must leave." I didn't have the energy to deal with him, or to even trust his words at this moment. I had to sort my thoughts fist.
I rushed back to the orphanage not even bothering to look for the knight that Malik had mentioned, and got back in time just before Oden couldn't distract them anymore.
"See, here she is." He said while he nervously laughed at the intimidating guards.
"Sorry it took me so long, I feel a bit under the weather." At my words Oden and the guards rushed to my side to check me.
I waved them away in annoyance. "Just take me home. It is only a slight headache."
"Thank you for today." I whispered to Oden secretly, and in response he winked.
Suddenly the knight with pink hair approached me and whispered.
"Miss your legs are shaking." I turned to him surprised. I thought I had hid it well. No one could notice through my thick dress. He must have really good senses.
"Please allow me to support you." He said under his breath while showing a arm.
I Looked at him warily for a while before accepting his arm. With him escorting me to the carriage I bid everyone farewell before setting off to go home.
It didn't take long to get home, and saw Ethan and Seth waiting for me to get home with displeased faces. No doubt mad that I had yet again left the mansion.
I would feel happy if not for the crushing guilt I felt when I face them. It all felt so unbearable, as my head spun while I tried to get off the carriage, but before my foot could touch the ground my world turned black.
