Yet again I was standing in front of the finished orphanage, but the difference was that there was no excitement like before. Only tension and dread clawed a my throat from what I knew what was to come, the day flowed exactly the same no matter if I played my part or not.

"Lady Lina, When when will we gather he children?" Oden asked.

I looked at him closely, the way he asked was the same as last time. It made me sick to my stomach, yet there is comfort in knowing what was to come instead of blindly walking into something.

"Are you okay Lady Lina?" His worried voice interrupted my thought.

"Oh- uh, yes I'm fine. I was just so excited, that I didn't get much sleep last night." I said while giving my best smile.

He seemed to relax once he saw my smile.

"Oh and to answer your question, the mercenaries that I've hired will split and search the city and slums for children. You will be joining the team that will search the slum, the children there will need you the most." Oden nodded as he listened to my words.

"We are ready for your orders Lady Lina."

"I will leave it to your judgement, you know this city the best."

"Yes Lady Lina."

I stood rooted to my spot as I watch them depart.

I felt as if the world was moving around me, it continued to turn even as I stood still. I wished that it would pause, even if only for a second. However, I knew it wouldn't happen and if I wished for change I would have to do it myself.

I no longer stood still, I couldn't even if I wanted to.

Without hesitation I walked into the orphanage, I acted as if I was looking around, but I knew where I was heading.

The greenhouse.

I quickly and quietly made my way to the greenhouse. Once I arrived I locked the door behind me, there was something there only I knew of.

A secret exit.

I carefully walked to where I knew the exit was. It looked like apart of the glass walls, but if your pushed it, it would open.

Without hesitation I opened it and crawled out.

If anyone saw they would call me shameless for ruining my noble image, but that was the least of my worries.

I didn't bother to fix my appearance once I stood up, I immediately rushed to into a dark alley. I kept my head down to avoid others eyes. I kept making turns that I had memorized before I stood at the back of a building.

I didn't hesitate to enter. Once I did I was in a kitchen bustling with busy chefs, they didn't bother to look at me since they had to focus at their task at hand. I made my way quickly but carefully past them, into a brightly lit hall.

I walked quickly with a destination in mind, I had to be back before anyone noticed my disappearance. I soon stood in front of a very familiar door.

I knocked three times, but unlike before the door was opened immediately instead of me having to give the code.

The servant bowed while showing me in, Casper was already sitting in the chair waiting for me. The servant left without a sound, closing the door with a barely audible click.

"Now, now. What does my little doll need?" He asked with a amused tone, but relaxed face.

I didn't answer as I sat down, I wanted to rest.

"What worries you so much that you've lost your bark?"

I let out a bitter chuckle, last time I was here I pretended to be tough and un-moving. I truly didn't know what it meant to need to survive. Dying suddenly by accident, and dying slowly from someones hand were two completely different things.

"I thought my bark would keep me safe long enough, but I've realized I need to bite back."

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, NOW THIS IS WHAT I"M TALKING ABOUT!" I knew he would enjoy my situation, but I couldn't care less.

"Now, tell me what it is you need." He asked with a certain madness swirling in his eyes. He was a man who detested boredom, however it wasn't my job to keep him entertained.

"A dagger, and vinum powder." His eyes shone with a overwhelming excitement at my answer.

Nevertheless, it seemed whatever I did entertained him.

I sat inside of the locked greenhouse holding the dagger and vinum powder. I had the dagger in my leg stocking, however I held the vinum powder in my hand, observing it. I dared not to open it, knowing how dangerous it was.

It was named from "vivi infernum" meaning living hell, anyone would question why this harmless looking powder was named living hell. Well, it was because of what it did to the human body once it touched human skin.

It burned it alive.

Causing it to blister swell and feel like your skin is melting off slowly. Like a "living hell", you would feel like the effected area was constantly in a burning inferno.

I carefully tucked the pouch of powder in a pocket in my skirt. I didn't want it to be seen. It would only cause trouble if this was found.

I casually exited the greenhouse, as if I had done nothing out of the ordinary, and by the time I got to the entrance Oden was rushing in with Theo in his arms.
