"Why don't you drop the act?" He said while looking me in the eyes.

"I could say the same thing to you, your highness." I said calmly. I do not know if it is because of Alina's original emotions, but I did not feel any fear facing the prince. The slight nervousness of my own emotions disappeared once I faced him, I could tell there was no insanity within his eyes like in the dream.

Eyes are the window to the soul, true emotions cannot be hidden in them.

"Touche." He said while laughing. I could tell he had no intention to show his true face, so I kept mine hidden as well.

"Miss Alina is very interesting." If any other woman heard this, their heart would be sent into a flutter, but my heart only felt his teasing bothersome.

"Please, don't call me so casually. We are not promised to each other anymore." I spoke calmly, but my words were sharp.

"I did not mean to offend Miss Alina, but it's hard to adjust to formal speech to someone who used to be my future beloved." He said so as if I was the one bulling him.

"We have rarely met before, not to mention speaking to one another. So, it shouldn't be a habit hard to break." I said apathetically.

"Miss Alina. You wound me." He sounded truly heart broken, but I knew better.

While he was continuing with his acting, I looked closely at him. He was exactly how the book described.

Someone who makes you willingly want to follow him. Like a sun, something all of nature needs and bows to.

A handsome hero, shining and blinding those who look too long.

Once he noticed I was staring at him, he stopped his acting and faced my inspecting gaze head on.

"Do you like what you see?" He hummed in a teasing tone.

"Your Highness is the future sun of the kingdom. How could I not?" I flatly said while bowing. My over formal answer let him know I did not mean a word of what I said. I was starting to get annoyed by this pointless war of words.

"Hahahaha." He let out a loud laugh, that almost startled me. It wasn't a graceful laugh I was expecting, it was a loud and crude laugh that would bring a smile to the face of anyone who heard it. But, alas, I wasn't just anyone. I kept a calm and serene face watching him.

Suddenly he stopped laughing and had a cold blank face. He slowly made his way to me, but instead of stopping in front of me like I expected he kept getting closer. I stood in place without fear, he would do nothing to me, I could see it in his eyes.

He brought his face closer and closer to mine, our noses were less than an inch apart. I could feel his hot and minty breath fanning over my cheeks, but I stood firmly in place, I would not back down. I looked down to see the prince holding a stray strand of my hair, I then looked into his eyes trying to see his intentions.

He moved closer, and whispered in my ear. His hot breath hitting my ear.

"Miss Alina is different than before. Instead of a wilting rose, you seem to have more thorns than before... perhaps we can help each other." I finally felt a ripple within my peaceful mind, I could hear the deeper meaning within his words.

While I was staring at him trying to find the meaning, he lightly kissed the hair gently held within his hand. Before I could voice my questions, he stepped back and quickly put on a gentle smile.

I looked behind me and saw father make his way to my side while giving the prince a intense look. I felt slightly bitter that I couldn't question the prince further, but grateful that my father was protective of me.

"We must leave, Farewell to the future sun of the Sargon kingdom. May you forever shine and prosper." He said bluntly, I could only follow his lead. I would have to find a way to talk to the prince later.

"Oh, well, I don't want to hold you any longer. Miss Alina, please stay well until we meet again." I met his deep gaze while he talked to me. I knew his words were a warning that something could threaten me in the future. However, I could see he had no intention to harm me, but for how long would that last?

"You as well, Your highness." I said while giving him a meaningful look.

Before I knew it I was in the carriage heading home.

I sorted through my thoughts while watching the passing scenery.

I now know the prince has no intention to harm me for now. He said he wanted to work together, but in Alina's memory he targeted her to feel pain. He was not the same as in the dream, but I couldn't figure out why.

I remembered the kings eyes.

'Did he do something to make his son like him?' The king held the same insanity in his eyes as the prince did within my dreams.

'Miss Alina is different than before...' The prince's words flashed through my head. There were a bunch of different things he could mean by this, but I instinctively knew that Chrysta was his. I felt relief of finally knowing who was behind her, but there was a sense of tension as I didn't know Chrysta's true abilities.

'Well, they do say keep your friends close but your enemies closer.' I couldn't help the bitter smile that made way to my face as I thought of the saying.

With the rocking of the carriage, time quickly flew by. Once we pulled up to the mansion, we were greeted by the staff. Father quickly got off to help me exit the carriage, once my feet hit the ground a wave of exhaustion came over me. I forced my self to fight the exhaustion off, while I walked to my room.

Once I arrived, Chrysta brought a tray of lunch that I forced myself to eat all of. I washed before changing into comfortable clothes.

I fell into a deep sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
