An hour later, Sesshomaru arrived at his manor with confidence. He learned many things from the human at the village and was certain that you would be satisfied with the date.
"[Y/n]," he called out, peering into your room and staring at your busy figure. You were humming as you happily combed your hair.
"Oh Sesshomaru, you're back" you smiled. Your headache was long gone after being able to take a nap, "Are those flowers?"
Sesshomaru nodded, handing you a bouquet of hibiscus flowers. You smiled. Hisbiscus flowers were the same flowers you would use to make your favorite tea. You took a wiff of it's aroma - an unforgettable scent that lingered in your mind.
"Would you like to go on a date?" Sesshomaru asked again. He recalled his teachings from Yuta and mentally prepared himself to be a romantic. Step one, bring a gift. Check.
"Of course," you chirped, craddling the flowers, "Weren't we supposed to go to one earlier?"
"Yes, but now to a forest,"
"A forest?"
"For a picnic."
You blushed. A picnic? All the ladies at the village used to gossip about picnics and how they were so romantic. How did Sesshomaru know about them?
"Do humans not go on picnics?" he frowned. Yuta had told him picnics were essential in catching a young lady's heart and making them fall in love with you.
He averted his eyes, "Should we do something else?"
"No-no! I always wanted to go on a picnic with you" you reassured him, "It's very romantic"
Placing the flowers down, you pushed yourself off the bed and give the demon a tiny hug. He flinches in surprise but envelopes you in a warm embrace.
"I prepared one already," Sesshomaru said.
"Wait we are going right now?! But I'm not ready! I have to change-"
"You look beautiful in whatever you wear." Yuta's second step to being romantic, compliments. Check.
You let out a nervous chuckle - checking the reflection to quickly adjust your appearance. Beautiful? You just woke up! At least Sesshomaru could give you a few minutes to change into a better outfit or-

"Let's go now [Y/n]."
Sesshomaru swiftedly positioned you into his arms and darted towards the exit of the manor. You clutched his kimino tightly. You sighed, you'd have to go on your first date with your house clothes.
He pushes off the ground and the two of you fly over the sky. You stare in amazement. It was beautiful. There was mixture of different trees and mountains. Wind blew through your [h/c] locks and your clothes. It was surprisingly very peaceful.
"We're here," Sesshomaru said breaking you from your mesmerized trance. It had only been three minutes but with his demonic speed, the two of your arrived at the forest with ease.
Sesshomaru let you go and you eagerly walked around. Surronded by trees, the both of you stood in an open area. Flowers and grass scattered across the ground. A huge tree towered in the middle. At the base of the tree, there was a white blanket with a basket.
"Wow," you gasped, walking across the grass,"It's so beautiful here."
Sesshomaru nodded, "This is the first place we met."
Your eyes widen. Looking around, the area was very familiar but it was hard to recognize. When you first met Sesshomaru, however, it was snowing so heavily that you could be buried in snow.
"You remembered?" you questioned. Your heart raced, Sesshomaru took you on a picnic date to the first place you had met him. When on Earth did he become so romantic?
"Of course," Sesshomaru walked towards the picnic set up, "I spent years here, missing you."
You felt your heart burst. Sesshomaru smirked at your reaction. He was pleased. The human's advice was useful afterall.
"Come [Y/n]," Sesshomaru called for you. He sat on the white blanket. You followed and sat next to him.
"Open the basket."
You compiled, grabbing its handle and popping open the lid. Inside, there were human delicacies! Takoyaki, shioyaki, and other foods you used to enjoy. You felt your mouth water, "Sesshomaru these are my favorite! How did you find them?"
"I have my ways," Sesshomaru closed his eyes. He remembered forcing a sword to Yuta's neck and making the poor man buy him the most popular foods at the village.

"I love this one" you pull out Taiyaki - a fish shaped waffle with red bean paste in it, "Try it Sesshomaru."
Sesshomaru gulped nervously as you dangle the fish infront of his face. He couldn't say no but every part of him repulsed human food. He clenched his eyes before taking a small bite.
"It's fine," he huffed. Sesshomaru would probably have to try several human dishes today so he prepared himself for the mental torture. The fish wasn't bad necessarily but demon food was far more superior.
"Do you like it?" You chirped, taking a generous bite for yourself. The red bean flavor delighted your tastebuds and you let out a sigh of relief. It wasn't until recently that the butler started making you human food but before, you had to eat the most bizarre demon dishes.
Sesshomaru nodded hesitantly and you beamed with happiness, "I'm so happy you like it Sesshomaru. I grew up eating these!"
The demon inwardly smiled at your amusement. He loved seeing you when you were happy and always tried to bring things that would make you smile.
"I shall buy you more then," he declared, watching you gulp down another Taiyaki.
You spent the rest of the afternoon sharing your human treats with Sesshomaru. For someone who was so anti-human, you were surprised to see how easily he cooperated with you. Although he would simply nodd or grunt in response to the food, it was a surprising that he even took a bite out of anything.
"Ah, it's getting late," you murmured as the Sun finally began to set. Time had passed by so quickly that you failed to notice the sky's beautiful blue melt into an ombre of oranges and yellows.
"It is," Sesshomaru replied,"Are you ready to go?"
You nodded sadly. You didn't want the fun date to end.
"We will walk," Sesshomaru said, noticing your disappointment. Your ears perked. If you walked, then you would be able to spend more time together.
Sesshomaru helped you pack the basket and blanket before heading towards the manor. He carried the basket while you freely roamed the forest - reminiscing as you looked at the herbs you used to collect on a daily basis.
"Sesshomaru," you looked back at the demon who was staring at you softly, "thank you for today. I had a lot of fun."
Sesshomaru walked over to close the distance between you. He patted your head gently before planting a gentle kiss on your lips.
He hugged you carefully, pressing you against his chest. You could hear his heartbeat racing alongside yours.
"[Y/n]," he began slowly, "We will go on more dates, try more of your human foods."
You pushed off his chest to look at his golden eyes. Behind him, the stars began to appear among the dark blue night sky.
"I'll order the servants to plant more of your flowers and cook your favorite meals."
Sesshomaru's face was illuminated by the moonlight. You could feel blood rushing to your face as he intimately caressed your cheek.
"In return [Y/n]," he smiled, "Always stay by my side."
With ease, he pulled you in for a deep passionate kiss. Sesshomaru pulled away, looking at your reaction. He wasn't the type to speak much - nevertheless about his feelings. The fact that he mustered up the courage to confess his love for you took much convincing from Yuta.
"Of course!," you stammered, "I'll always be there for you Sesshomaru. I love you."
Sesshomaru's heart skipped a beat. The words I love you repeated in his mind. He had never heard such a phrase from anyone in his life.
The two of you blushed in silence. Love confessions were so embarrassing but you were happy to be able to express how you felt to Sesshomaru. You felt Sesshomaru's hand interlock with yours as he placed another delicate kiss on your forehead.
"I love you too."
With interlocked fingers, the two of you headed home - the sky's stars leaving a trail of light to illuminate your path.
