As I was packing some clothes into the backpack, I was taking with me to the lycan kingdom, two hands wrapped around me before ahead came down in between my shoulders. Nuzzling me, Arius nipped at my mark, causing me to moan.

"Stop it, Arius, I have to go," I said, but made no attempt to stop him.

"Please, baby, do you have to go? I still think I should just kill him and get it over with," Arius said, pouting like a child.

"No, Ari, I want him to hurt. Not only for you, but for Allegra too. He deserves a more cruel punishment than death. And just wait, the face once he realizes what is happening to him will be absolutely worth it."

Turning in his arms, I saw Arius ponder the idea I gave him and he just shrugged.

"I guess, but I hate that you have to be so far away."

Replying, I said, "Don't worry, I'll be back in your arms soon enough and we can both revel in Sin's demise."

His eyes lit up with mischief and said, "It will be fucking wonderful."

Smiling, I went back to my backpack and zipped it up when I was done. Arius helped me put on the backpack before going to the dresser and grabbed a beanie. Coming back over to me, he put it on my head and zipped up the jacket I had on before kissing my nose.

"While you're going, make sure to always keep your jacket on. I don't want you getting sick amare."

Rolling my eyes, I said, "I'm a wolf, Ari, our bodies were meant for the cold."

"I don't care. I want you to be healthy and safe. And if that bastard even touches a hair on you, I'll bring hell on Earth."

"I love you, Mr. Protective," I said to him.

"I love you too, my pretty girl."

Tippy-toeing to try and kiss Ari, I still couldn't reach anywhere close with him being so tall.

"Come down here," I whined.

Arius let out a small laugh and said "Look at you, you're so small."

Pouting, I said, "Fine, no love for you."

Saying nothing, Arius brought his lips down to mine and kissed me.

Against my lips, he said, "But, who else will love my darkened heart."

"Only me," I replied, giving in to the kiss.

Arius's hand traveled down my back and went to my butt. He brought it up and down on my ass, spanking me.

"Hey," I said.

Arius gave me a smirk and said "You better get going if you want to get there before nightfall."

Finally, it registered that I would not see Arius for a few weeks and made me latch onto him. Until now I didn't realize how attached I was to Arius, doing everything with him. The only time we were ever apart was the two weeks he had to leave for work.

I snuggled as close as I could into his chest and said, "I'm going to miss you, mate."

Arius bent down to place a kiss on top of my head.

"Me too, little one."

We stood there in each other's comfort before it was time for me to leave. Instead of walking, Arius shadowed us to the entrance of the palace, where Adonis was already waiting for me.

Grabbing my face from his chest, Arius got close to me and said "Destroy him, my queen."

"With pleasure, king."

With one last kiss, Arius teleported Adonis, and I was close to the lycan kingdom as he could.

As the shadows surrounded us before I disappeared, I mouthed the words "I love you."

He mouthed them back "I love you too."

When the smoke cleared, I saw we were in a forest no longer green, but white.

"Where are we?" I asked Adonis.

"About a day away from the lycan kingdom," he said.

"Let's get going then," I said.

He nodded before starting our trek through the snowy forest for the next two hours. We walked in silence as I admired the beautiful scenery, with small snowflakes falling from the sky.

Turning to me, Adonis said, "Why don't we run in our wolves. I know you haven't run in a long time."

Adonis was right. Although I ran a max of two times in the underworld, I still missed running in the forest around the Midnight Pack. It had been around four months since I had been in the underworld and it was as close as possible to the feeling of running in those woods.

Going behind a tree, I removed my clothes and put them in my backpack before shifting. I grabbed the bag with my snout as I met Adonis in front of the tree. He tilted his face to show the direction we were going. I gave a nod before he took off with me close behind him.

The wind breezed by me as I let out a tip of happiness, of the freedom of being my wolf. It would be one of my last times before my wolf is turned into a beast. Although, there must be another kind of freedom flying in the sky, almost like running. Nevertheless, I would miss being a wolf, but it was time to put that era behind me.

We continued on our journey without a break until nightfall, before taking a break for the night and starting a fire. Once I shifted back and put on my clothes again, I walked out from behind the tree. Getting close to the fire, I put my hands out to get warm with Adonis doing the same next to me.

"How do I get her to talk to me?" he asked.

"Allegra?" I questioned.

"Yes."

"After what you did to her, if it were me, I would never speak to you again," I said.

Adonis moved head down onto his knees in defeat.

I looked out into the woods before saying, "But it's not me. Allegra just needs time to cool off. She is kinder than me and I know she misses her brother. You are twins, your other half will come to you when it is time. Until then, just show her you're on her side and not his."

"I regret it all," Adonis said.

"I know," I replied in complete honesty.

"You can't go back into the past, only fix the mistake you made."

"Can I fix those mistakes?"

"Probably not, but you'll repent for your future," I said.

"Arius, I knew him many centuries ago. He's different now," Adonis said.

Hearing the name of my mate brought an immediate smile to my face.

"How so?" I asked him.

"He is much happier. The Arius I knew was cold and unfeeling, like he was missing a part of his soul. I guess that part has finally reunited with him."

"He too is my other half," I said.

"Have you met your mate?" I asked after a moment of silence.

"No, but she is all I have ever wished for other than my sister's forgiveness."

'I'm sure your day will come, Adonis."

He smiled in sadness before saying, "We should go to bed now. We have a long day tomorrow."

Staring up at the starry night as I laid to fall asleep, I wondered what my mate was currently doing. Probably pouting and whining like a child that I was not there to cuddle him. I let out a quiet laugh at the thought of that. Before falling asleep, I let a whisper into the sky in hopes that Arius would know.

"I love you."

The next morning, we woke up early so that we could run the last hour. Once we reached the border of the hidden kingdom, Adonis put his hand on the tree to open the shield around the lycans. Reaching the palace, we quickly shifted back before walking inside to meet Sin.

"I have mind linked him to meet us," Adonis whispered in a warning.

Outside his office, Adonis raised his hand to knock on the door.

"Come in," a voice said from inside after he knocked.

We walked in to see Sin looking over some papers with a glass of scotch in his hand.

"You have come finally. What is this gift you speak-" Sin asked, stopping midway when he saw me.

His mouth opened in surprise as I got ready to break out my Oscar-worthy acting skills. Sinclair got up from his seat to stand right next to his desk.

Without another thought, I ran across the room into Sin's arm and said, "Sin, baby, I've missed you."

He wrapped his arms around me, holding me close to his body.

I smirked behind his shoulder.

You're about to meet your doom, Sinclair Royal.
