Once we set foot in my room of the palace, Arius immediately let me go, trying to quickly leave the room. Although he seemed calmer than before, I could still feel that he was a bit annoyed at today's events with Liam.
"Arius," I said, calling out to him.
He stopped walking towards the door but didn't turn around to look at me.
"What's wrong?" I asked, even knowing the answer.
He finally turned around and stalked towards me, putting his hands to bring my face up.
"Baby, I don't give a fuck about your past, we all have one. Knowing that I still wanted to rip that boy's head off for touching you along with all the other men before me."
I started to say "It's nothing..."
"I know darling, I'm a possessive man so sue me for being jealous."
Bringing his hands from my face to put them around my waist, I continued to stuff my head into his chest.
Whispering from my place, I said, "I take time to trust someone, especially a man, so please give me time to open up to you."
He tucked his head on top of mine and whispered to me, "Take as long as you want, I'll wait all eternity for you if I have to."
Smiling into his chest, I now understood why Sin is jealous of the man before me. Arius will be ten times the man he is, I thought, remembering the memory from the forest in Greece. Sin was always in a rush for me to trust him when he didn't give me many reasons too. Knowing Arius for only a few days, I already knew what he just said to me was true. He would be patient throughout our relationship, giving me all the time I needed to figure us out. The two of us stood there for a while before I interrupted the silence in the room.
From Arius's chest, I said, "You weren't the only one getting jealous, I hated how other women always look at you with awe and lust whenever you walk by. I mean, I can understand why they would stare but like paws of. Don't get me started on the number of women you probably slept with throughout your lifetime, like triple my body count. Not that I can blame you since you're like a billion years old."

Arius laughed at my little rant and replied, "Glad I'm not the only one feeling this way and those women mean nothing to me as you do."
"I know," I said, believing him.
"Now what about that kiss?" he asked me.''
Giggling, I said, "Tonight."
Arius nodded before looking over to the clock above the fireplace, Arius said to me, "I should get going, got a kingdom to run."
Giving me a wink and a peck on the cheek with the promising dinner tonight, he left the room. Although disappointed at his departure, I knew that my mate had many important duties to uphold, so I went to look for Rissa and Allegra to get the tour she was going to give us before we left.
Finding the two girls along with their mates in a common room chatting with a cup of coffee and snacks, I went over to them sitting on the empty chair.
"How were the boys?" Rissa asked me.
"Good," I said, replying to her.
Looking at Allegra, I asked, "Can we still go on that trip to town?"
"Yeah, sure, we should go now before it gets too dark," she said.
Saying bye to Leo and Akoni, we walked over to the stables where we boarded one of the chariots. Before getting on, I got some sugar cubes to feed the pegasus to strengthen them for their flight.
One of the horses, Apollo, caught my eye as I pet his mane and said, "Good boy."
Giving him one last pat, I followed Allegra and Rissa onto the chariot where Allegra was at the head to guide the pegasus to our destination. While onboard, we rode in silence as we admired the beauty of Arius's kingdom. We passed over the lake and past the forest to see a beautiful kingdom awaiting us. Arriving on the ground, Allegra told the pegasus to wait here as we wandered around the town of Brona.
"We have about an hour before the sun sets," Allegra says as we walk deeper inside.
"So, what's there to do in town?" Rissa asked.
"Usually when I come into town, it's either for business or food."

"Well, good thing we all agree on food, show us the best in the town of Brona."
Allegra laughed and said, "Why don't we pizza for dinner."
Rissa and I agreed as Allegra took us to her favorite pizza place in town. Once we were seated, we ordered two large pizzas, one with chicken and the other with veggies. As we gorged ourselves with food, we chatted and got to know each other more. Having to go to the bathroom, I excused myself from the table. Finishing my business, I walked outside, accidentally bumping into someone on the way.
"Oh, I'm sorry," I said to the man I bumped into.
He was about to say something before he stopped himself and stared at me in shock.
"Regina" he whispered, quietly.
"Sorry?" I asked him in confusion.
"Ave regina ad omnes," he said.
Allegra saw me with the man, walking over to me before thanking the man and taking me back to our table.
When we were seated, I asked her, "What did he say?"
Giving me a small smile, she said, "All hail the queen."
Shocked at her statement, I turned my eyes towards the man that I bumped into. He and others in the restaurant were all looking at me in awe. Nervous at the attention, I turned away from their prying eyes to look down at my empty plate.
Looking back up, I asked, "Can we go back now?"
"Yeah, sure," Allegra said.
Paying for our food, we gathered our things before heading back to where we had parked our chariot. Once we arrived at the palace, I said a quick bye to my friends before hurrying to go back to my room. Hoping that Arius was there when I reached my room, needing his comfort. Entering, I didn't smell his lavender scent or see his large frame anywhere in my room. Before I trudged into bed, I felt his presence behind me as he entered my room. Turning around, I ran into his arms, being impatient for his heat.
"Amare, darling, what's wrong? Allegra mind linked me saying you were upset."
I said, "I wasn't upset, just shocked. The three of us went into town for dinner and while we were there, the people inside were calling me queen."
"I'm sorry I didn't warn you about this yet," Arius said, moving us towards my bed before he sat down and put me in his lap.
"It's ok, it just reminds me of the enormous responsibility I have once we are mated," I replied.
"I have full confidence that you'll do an amazing job as a queen. You were already beta and have experience in guiding a group of people. Being queen is almost the same thing."
"Thank you for believing in me, Arius."
"Of course, mate," he replied.
Moving my head from his chest, I moved my head to look towards him to see his blue eyes already on me. My heart rate picked up as I continued to stare at the beautiful man. Lowering his head towards mine, Arius placed his lips softly on top of mine. Gaining confidence in our kiss, I gave him the ok signal. Moving away from me, he looked into my eyes as I saw them darkening in lust. In a flash of a second, I was slammed against the closest wall as he kissed me passionately. His lips moved against mine urgently and I moaned out into him in pleasure.
"Mine" Arius growled against my lips as I noticed that his eyes had turned red.
Moving his lips down to my neck, Arius nibbled on the spot where he would mark me in the future.
"No one else," he said.
"No one else" I replied, promising him.
Arius once again put his lips on mine before we continued to kiss against the wall of my bedroom. Out of breath, we finally stopped our kiss as Arius put his forehead on mine.
Both of us were panting as I said, "You got your kiss, Arius."
