"Are you saying that I am going to lose my wolf?" I asked him.
"No, your wolf will just become a beast instead. It will still have the same personality and everything, but you would just have the same shift as mine."
I looked at him for a few seconds before storming out of the room. I ran towards the forest as I heard him chasing me.
"Ana, Ana, wait, please!" he said, flying to catch up.
"Why didn't you tell me I couldn't turn into my wolf anymore. That's like losing half of me, I'm going to lose running in the forest."
Arius put his hands around me as he dragged me towards his chest.
"I'm sorry, amare" Arius said to me.
I burrowed my face into his chest, his presence calming me down. Arius said nothing to me as he tightened his grip around me, hugging me tighter. The beginning of my rejection, I mourned the thought of never being able to feel the comfort and safety of a mate. Although I don't think Axel would have brought me any of those. Arius may be some ultra powerful god but to me he was my mate, someone I am learning new things about and hopefully love one day.
From his chest I muttered, "My parents live in this pack, I was going to see them. Do you want to come?"
Arius looked down at me as I tilted my head up and replied, "Of course darling mate."
I gave him a small smile as he put his arms underneath my knees and carried me bridal style. I let out a small giggle as he flew into the sky and did a small twirl as he went up. I directed Arius towards the housing that they should stay at. Pack members were walking outside their houses as we flew down to the ground. They all stared at him as Arius put me to my feet, looking at me to lead us to their house. We walked up to the porch, and I rang the doorbell to wait for them to come out. Mom opened the door to see me and just stood there for a while before grabbing me into a hug.

"Ana, my love" she said as she dragged me into the house.
Dad came out of their bedroom to see what the noise was outside.
"Darling" he said as he gave me a hug as well.
Once I was done greeting them, I looked behind to see that Mom was just staring at my mate in awe. Arius was just looking at me and waiting for me to give him a cue.
"Why don't we sit in the dining room?" Dad suggested.
I nodded as the four of us took a seat at the table. Once Arius took his seat, he looked too big to be sitting there.
I laughed and said to him, "You look so uncomfortable."
"Yes, well humans are so tiny compared to me" he said, smirking.
I pouted as Arius said to me, "Don't worry amare, your tininess adds to your adorableness."
I rolled my eyes at him as I noticed my parents were staring at the two of us.
"So... who is this Ana?" Mom said.
As always, Arius proudly said, "Ana is my mate."
I smiled at Arius's happiness at being his mate, filling my stomach with butterflies. Looking over at my parents' confused faces, we went into the same explanation we had given the boys. Once we were done, my parents looked at Arius with a mix of fear and wonder.
"If Ana mates with you, would she also become immortal?" Dad asked.
"Yes, since her wolf will become a beast, which is an immortal creature. Ana will rival my power once we are mated" Arius replied.
I wasn't that surprised at his response since the same thing happened with lycans if they were mated with a normal werewolf.
Mom and I went into the kitchen to get snacks for us all to eat. Once we went in, she turned to me and just smiled.
I looked at her suspiciously and asked "What?"
She smirked at me and said "He's very good-looking, darling"
I blushed and continued to plate the snacks onto the small tray. I couldn't deny Mom's claim, Arius was by far the most handsome man I have ever seen. His tan skin brought out the blue in his eyes and his muscles were always defined under his shirt. Even though I have only known him for a few days whenever he walked by, my panties always got wet. Mom and I went back to the table, and we spent another few hours with my parents before it was time for us to go back. I hugged both my parents and promised to visit soon as we left the house.

As we walked back to the main house to say bye to the boys before we went back to Arius's kingdom.
"Ana, Ana" said a voice behind me.
Arius and I turned behind to see a warrior running up to us. Liam Williams is a one-night stand I had a year and a half ago who just wouldn't get the message of being only one night. He is one of the warriors I train and always finds an excuse to come and talk to me.
Like always I put up my fake smile and said, "Hi Liam."
Liam looked at Arius with a hint of fear before looking at me and saying, "I haven't seen you in a while."
"Yeah, well the past few months have been hectic" I replied to him to end this conversation faster.
"So, I wanted to ask you about that date?"
Oh shit. I put my hand around Arius's arm to try and calm him down, but when I looked at him, I could already see the red. Liam moved his eyes to my giant mate and backed up a little in fear. Arius's horns and wings elongated as he was bringing attention to us from the other pack members. He took my hand off his arm as he moved me back to safety, walking towards Liam.
He said to the scared warrior, "You must be one of her one-night stands, right? I've been waiting to bump into one of you. She's off limits now, come near her and you will see the wrath of my beast."
"And who are you?" Liam asked, raising his brow.
"Her fucking mate, boy." Arius replied before walking over to me and flying into the sky with me.
I snuggled into his arm to try and calm his beast down. I know that for werewolf mates were possessive over their mates, I can't imagine what it would be for someone like Arius. He snuggled his face into my neck as he breathed in my scent as he took in deep breaths. I looked up into my face to give me his signature smirk to show me he was calm. We landed in front of the main pack house smoothly.
"Go in, amare, I will wait for you outside," Arius said to me.
I nodded as I walked inside to go see my friends. Everyone was still sitting where I had left them except Isa, talking deeply. They turned to see me and offered me a seat from before.
"You ok?" Aiden asked me.
"Yep. Arius and I went to go see Mom and Dad at their house," I replied to him.
"About Arius... he good?" Xavier asked.
"Yeah, he's better than both Sin and Axel, considering Axel had put the bar very low. Sin was just a little infatuation, we were more like friends than lovers. Although Arius has a very large possessive streak and I have only known him for a few days."
"You must love that," Lukas said, laughing.
Replying back to him, I said, "Honestly, I don't mind it. Sin was never jealous, and it made me feel like he didn't care, Arius always verbalizes how much he wants me."
We continue to talk for a few more minutes before I tell them that I have to go back. They kissed me on my check and made me promise to visit them like my parents.
Going back to Arius, he said, "Ready to go home?"
Home, huh?
I smiled at him and said, "Yeah, I am ready."
