Arching my back, I gave him better access to my neck as he placed butterfly kisses down it. He then came back up to my ear and nibbled on my earlobe, making me moan in pleasure.

Sitting up straight, as my heart was racing and small drops of sweat fell from my face. Like last time, my hand tattoo itched as I scratched it vigorously. Looking around, I saw everyone was still asleep around the campfire we had made for the night. It had been a week since our encounter with tenbris creatures as we followed the map to Abia. Still not having met the other two challenges, we threaded carefully through the Steni forest. Getting out of my sleeping bag, I carefully walked away from our campsite to calm myself.

This had been the second dream of the same man that I saw about a week ago with wings.

Frustrated at not knowing anything, I quickly took off my clothes and shifted into my wolf. Hiding my clothes underneath a tree, I ran but not straying too far from the site in case of any danger in the forest.

Remembering the fiery heart of pleasure, I ran faster to stop being so aroused. From what I could see, the man had dark hair... that I pulled towards my breast, urging him to suck harder.

Over the past week, I hid my new tat underneath long sleeves, not wanting to create a big fuss over it. I knew the others were still worried of what had happened to me when the darkness took me. Coming out from behind the tree, I walked over to where Sin was standing.

"Hey why did you run off in the middle of the night?" he asked me.

"Oh ok. We should go back to camp now, sweetheart. Tomorrow we're guessing that we will bump into our next task, " he said unsuspiciously.

"Yeah, just give me a minute then I'll come back."

Nodding, he turned and walked back to camp as I sat down on a small log near where we stood. Resting my head between my knees, thanking the moon goddess that Sinclair hadn't smelled my arousal. Feeling bad that I had lied to Sin, I breathed in the fresh air for some time before following his steps back to camp.

Waking up that morning, the five of us hunted some food for our breakfast that morning. After an hour or two of sitting around the fire and enjoying our meal, we packed up and began our hike. Some days we would walk in complete silence and just enjoy the forest on other days we bantered and chatted with each other.

"God how much longer until the next task. I am so fucking bored with walking" Rissa groaned.

"Who knows, it doesn't say a distance on the map" Adonis replied.

"Well, that's just fucking great" I muttered underneath by breath.

"Agreed bitch" Rissa mumbled, who must have heard me.

We continued to walk for another five hours with about two thirty-minute breaks before we stopped. The five of us stood in a horizontal line looking over the giant chasm between our paths.

"Well, fuck we found it, the next task" Leo said to us.

The seventy feet wide chasm with an endless bottom and no way to get across it.

"Plans, anyone?" Rissa asked.

"Let's take a break and then we will figure out how to get across," Sin replied.

We all sat near the cliff, both lying and sitting on the ground, tired of walking. Sin sat next to me, pulling me into his lap.

Jumping out of Sin's lap like he electrified me, I fell onto the ground hard. The four of them stared at me, confused by actions.

"Are you ok, sweetheart?" Sin asked me, trying to help me sit up.

Sitting up straight, I moved away from his hands and said, "Yep. Yep totally fine. I just saw a... gigantic spider, yeah, a spider."

"Wow, the big bad Analise Kade is scared of spiders. Hilarious" Leo said laughing.

Walking towards him, I put my hand around his throat and pinned him to the nearest tree behind him.

"I would stop laughing if I were you if you don't want me to gouge your eyes out" I said threateningly, my eyes darkening.

Realizing my actions, I quickly removed myself from Leo, horrified I had threatened my friend and Rissa's mate. Over the past few weeks that I have been with the royal pack, I showed them a softer side of me. Being frustrated at my dream, today I had accidently shown them the ruthless warrior beta that is feared in the werewolf world. Walking a few steps back before I turned and ran in the opposite direction.

What have I done? I just put my best friend's mate in a chokehold.

Hearing footsteps behind me, I turned around to see who it was. Rissa walked over to me and enveloped in a hug.

"It's ok Nellie, I know it was an accident. Tell me what's wrong?" she whispered soothingly in my ear.

Not being able to tell her about the dream, I stayed silent.

Instead, I hugged her tighter and said quietly, "I'm sorry."

"It's ok bestie. Leo, don't blame you. All of this must be frustrating for you, after you disappeared in the smoke. And you, Analise Kade, have been hiding your darkness too long and some of it needs to come out."

Removing myself from her hug, I thanked her for understanding instead of hating me.

"I could never hate you, and also it was a kind of hilarious how Leo was about to piss his pants. Oh god you should have seen his face, I was literally biting my lip to stop laughing at him."

Laughing as we walked back to camp, I went to Leo to say sorry for him. He just nodded and waved at me, saying that not that serious. I then walked over to Sin and gave him a hug for my sorry. He hugged me back, but unlike before, it was as if my body hated his touch. Quickly removing myself from him, I gave him a smile and a peck on the cheek before we all walked back to the edge of the chasm.

"Ok guys, I think I have a solution to our little problem. Rissa, can you do a spell for us to walk over?" Adonis asked.

"I mean, I can do floating stones, but only one person at a time." she replied.

"Ok let's do that. Who wants to go first?" Sin said.

"I guess I will," I said when nobody offered themselves.

Before starting the spell, Rissa walked over to me and said, "Are you sure? I am not sure how great this spell will be."

Turning towards her, I put my hand in hers and said, "I trust you, Rissa."

Removing my backpack and putting it on the ground since Rissa would spell the bags to float over.

Nodding, she then chanted, "Nos errare lapides."

The first stone came up in front of me as I jumped onto it. Continuously doing that, I jumped from stone to stone, moving across the chasm. Just as I was about to jump onto the next stone, I almost lost my balance because of a fucking flock of scary looking birds attacking me.

"Oh, you have to be fucking kidding me" I said.

Removing my sword from my waist, I cut down the birds to jump onto the next stone. Trying to do the same for the stone after, I slipped and fell, missing the stone. Thankfully Rissa could move a stone right under me so I could land on that.

"RISSA, PUT THE FUCKING BIRDS ON FIRE" I screamed to her while trying to swat them away from me.

"I CAN'T. I CAN ONLY DO ONE SPELL AT A TIME" she screamed back as I quickly jumped onto the stone in front of me.

"IT'S A ONE WORD SPELL RIGHT? JUST LET ME GO, PUT THEM ON FIRE, AND THEN CATCH ME" I replied to her.

"ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY, WHAT IF I DON'T CATCH YOU."

"YOU WILL, JUST DO IT BECAUSE THE WAY I AM GOING I WILL FALL EITHER WAY. THIS WAY AT LEAST I HAVE A CHANCE TO GET ACROSS."

"OK FINE, HANG ON!"

Putting the sword back at my waist, I kneeled and put my hand around some ridges on the stone holding onto them as grips.

From behind me I could hear Rissa chant "Incendia."

Right as she said that, I saw the flock of birds on fire just as everything vanished in a blur. I plummeted down the chasm with my hair flying and I'm holding on for dear life as Rissa restarted the spell.

"Oh fuck, I'm going to be squashed like a big" I thought.

Not being able to see the bottom, I finally stopped falling to the ground. As I jumped from stone to stone back up the chasm and across it, landing onto the ground, I waited for the rest of them to come with no problems.

Once Rissa arrived I said, "Any longer and I would have been a fly, crushed on the bottom of a boot."

"Sheesh bitch, I was going as fast as I could," she said, rolling her eyes.

"Well, it looks like you only have one task left before you meet me, the powerful one. Since I'm really fucking bored and have been doing nothing for the past seven centuries, I am going to speed up your journey. Go down this path and you will encounter a cave, crack the riddle and I will answer your questions. Until then," Abia said in her shadow form before disappearing into thin air.

"How the hell is this bitch snarky, hasn't she been isolated for eons" Rissa said.

We walked straight for the next two hours looking for the cave Abia mentioned.

Sin and I were at the back of the group, "Hey sweetheart, are you ok?"

Flinching when he tried to hold my hand, I said, "Yeah I'm totally fine."

"Are you sure, ever since last night you have been acting weird?"

"Yep. Yep. I'm fine, just worried about what we are going to find out."

Sinclair looked at me suspiciously, but still accepted my answer at the end. For the next hour I walked by myself, still feeling uncomfortable about my dream. As much as I want to tell everyone the truth on what's happening to me, I can't. Especially since I am having a sex dream about another man. Sin has been nothing but kind, with some faults at ignoring me, but still better than Axel. I felt bad about having this dream since we had a connection when we met. Most of all I'm frustrated, not understanding who that man is haunting me both in my dreams and even during the day.

"Over here" Adonis said when he found the cave behind some vines.

We all rushed over to him and went inside the opening. Walking over to an ancient-looking door, I went up to it dusting to read the riddle.

"I can't be bought, but I can be stolen with a glance. I'm worthless to one, but priceless to two. What am I?" I repeated, reading the wall.

"Any suggestions?" I asked them.

"I fucking hate riddles" Rissa groaned.

Over the next ten minutes the Adonis, Rissa, and Leo argue about the riddle Sinclair was quiet on the side of the cave. Looking at the riddle once again trying to think with the other babbling behind me.

"Worthless to one, priceless to two" I mumbled, speaking aloud to help me understand the wording.

"What the hell, I don't know?" I thought after a while of trying.

Sinclair walked over to the riddle and moved the dial. The rest of them quieted down to see what Sinclair was putting in as the answer. Once he put in his answer, the dial clicked and opened the door.

"Love" Sin whispered quietly, looking at me.

Giving him a small smile, we entered through the door. As we walked in, I saw a beautiful woman with hair down to her feet and flowers braided into it. She was wearing an ethereal gown as she looked at us with her sharp violet eyes.

"Welcome, my sweets. The answers you have been looking for, will be answered after all you completed my tests. I am the prophet of knowledge and knower of all. I have been there since the creation of existence when Gaea planted our beautiful Earth into life."
