"Your Highness, Wang Fei is in danger_"

Prince Wu Jian was sitting beside the Crown Prince watching the performers from Buxi when one of his masked shadow guards appeared behind him and whispered. Before the guard could finish, Wu Jian already took off running - startling not only the Crown Prince but the Emperor and the guests from Buxi.

"What happen to Ruyi!"

Everyone could hear the cold angry voice before the man entered the Empress private quarter.

"Jian-ge_"

Wu Jian's anger intensified when Wu Ting suddenly took hold of his arm. Shoving her away, he ignored the painful cry from her while Madam Muyang caught her daughter before she fell.

"Where is Ruyi!"

Wu Jian's eyes never left the Empress when he entered. The woman had been his grandmother, but his eyes let everyone know he saw her as the enemy.

"Jian, I_" The Empress looked guilty and confused.

She didn't even have the chance to explain when Ruyi's painful cry echoed.

"Ruyi!"

Hearing her voice, Wu Jian rushed to find her, disregarding everyone calls to stop him.

"Ruyi!"

The heavy scent of blood filled his nose before he reached the Empress' private bedroom. The guarding palace maids all went to their knees when Wu Jian appeared. No one could stop him when he forced his way through.

"Ruyi!"

"Prince Jian, no" The Crown Princess had been closest to the door when Wu Jian entered.

Her face was filled with worry and fright while she tried to hold him back.

"Prince Jian! Ruyi is going into labor, you can't_"

"No!" Wu Jian shouted as he pushed the Crown Princess away at the glimpse of Ruyi in the middle of all the midwife and palace maids.

"Someone help me get Prince Jian"

It took six palace guards to get Prince Wu Jian out the door.

"Prince Jian, please!" The Crown Princess burst into tears as she shouted. "You need to calm down! If you force your way in, Ruyi's labor will be effected"

Only then did Wu Jian stopped. His heart was beating heavily as he could hear Ruyi's heartbreaking screams.

"What happen!" Wu Jian glared at the Crown Princess. "Why is Ruyi in labor? There should be 2 months left"

Only 2 months left - Wu Jian had prepared everything for the final month of Ruyi's pregnancy. At his estate, he had made sure the doctor had all the assistants he needed for when Ruyi goes into labor. At his estate, he had prepared the proper place and medicine for Ruyi. In two months, Wu Jian would keep Ruyi safely inside his estate where no one could cause trouble when she's in labor. He was supposed to have 2 months.

"Tell me!" Wu Jian was in the verge of madness when no one could tell him what happened.

The Crown Princess guilty expression matched the Empress. They didn't know what happened.
