Just before I panicked, my hands were taken. The Prince brought my hands to his lips.

The Prince gave me a soft smile.

My heart calmed when he kissed the inside of my palm.

A large bronze sign hung above the doors read Marquess Li Residence. Several guards stood at the gates, while servants and maids lined up at the door. They were all there to receive Duke Haijin and his Wang Fei. The people in the street watched with awe at the sight of the tall handsome man in red and white robe stepping out of the eight horse golden carriage. His dark gray eyes lazily scanned the area while maids and servants stared at him. They were the Marquess' people, but still, it was the first time they have seen anyone so intimidating and alluring. In that instance, they understood why all the women in the Li Residence rushed to dress beautifully. It's for this man.

Duke Haijin turned back to the carriage. The coachman raised the curtains for a young woman in dark green dress to step out. Everyone watched in silence as the Duke lifted her out of the tall carriage before setting her down on her feet. The motion had been so effortless and graceful that the maids all swoon. They have been so entranced by the Duke's strength and beauty that they forgot to greet him and his Wang Fei as they walked by. Their duty was to greet and guide the Duke into the Marquess Li Residence; instead, they were all staring at the Duke's backside. It wasn't until the coachman coughed that they realized the Duke and his Wang Fei were long gone.

The maids and servants rushed back inside to the coachman great amusement.
