I was in and out of consciousness when someone touched my wrist, my eyes and lips. I couldn't speak but I could hear someone saying that I had been poison. I have been poison for years. The voice shook while explaining that the poison has already flowing in my veins. There was no way he could cure it. He wasn't sure if I could even make it through the night. If I do make it through the night, there was no way to tell how long I would live.

The temperature of my body was dropping dangerously low and my heart was beating painfully slow. The last thing I heard before I lost consciousness again was the Prince angry shouts.

One big strong hand held my body while the other held my cheek. My ice body was held against heated one.

"Who dare poison you?"

I heard the question and wondered who was talking to me. Was it God?

"Mother..."

"Your mother?" The voice was filled with disbelief. "Why would your mother poison you?"

I felt sorrow that even God did not believe me.

"Answer me"

"For the Marquess ..."

I felt soft lips against my forehead and shivered at the tender touch.

"Aren't you supposed to be the most loved?"

"No... Ruyi will never be loved..."

The warm embraced made it difficult to stop the tears.

"Does it hurt?"

"It doesn't hurt"

He knew I was lying and rubbed my back to ease the pain.

"Will you take Ruyi away?" I asked God while I wrapped my shaking arms around his back. "Can Ruyi finally leave?"

"Where do you want to go?"

I didn't know I had a choice.

"The mountains..." I answered. "The sea... the valley..."

"When you're well, I will take you... Get well Ruyi" He said gently when a warm hand back on my cheek. "Once you're well, I will take you wherever you want to go"

"Why won't you take me with you?"

Even God did not want me.

"Ruyi"

I felt his arms tighten around me, but I could no longer hold on.
