Being the first day to her new office, Anu wants to be perfect. Her shift starts from nine in the morning to six in the evening. It will take thirty minutes from her house to reach the office. Her parents were confused when she told her decision to join a company. But she convinced them telling she has to work to develop her knowledge.

Why can't you work for Dev's firm? " - Anu's father, Mohan, inquired.

"It's not going to be good, Dad. Dev was aware of this, but he said anything." - she lied.

Despite his suspicions, he did not pursue the matter further. He doesn't want to ruin Anu's first day at work by ruining her mood.

On the other side, Dev drove his car unconsciously at the road junction of Anu's house, like it is his destination. Anu got on her two-wheeler and started to the office. Dev became alerted after watching someone coming outside from her house. Anu was wearing a helmet, but Dev can tell from her fragile figure that it is Anu. He followed her scooter.

"Where she is going, at this morning?" - he thought.

He got confused when she parked her scooter at the Star Linens.

"What she is doing here?" - he thought.

He waited on the opposite side for a while, but she didn't come back. So, he started to his office.

Soon after reaching his office, he asked Mugil to inquire about Anu's visit there. Though Mugil was reluctant to do that, he later sent a person to that linen company to inquire about Anu without her knowledge.

Dev paced his room restlessly. He was shocked to know that Anu started working.

"When I am rich enough for the next few generations, she is working for a small firm like that." - he was angry for a moment. But, as Mugil pointed out, anger isn't going to help him. He has to win her back, so he controlled his emotions and thought of his next move.

"Mugil, buy that Star Linens." - he commanded.

"I expected this already." - he murmured.

"What?" - Dev darted an angry look.

"What if they are not interested in selling their company?" - Mugil raised his doubt.

"Quote them double the market price." - he ordered.

"I think you can better talk with Anu about this. She might not like this idea. Also, we have linen suppliers already." - Mugil suggested

"Mugil, please do what I say. "Do you understand that she can't be an employee and work for others?" - Dev ordered.

Nothing to worry about, Sir; everything will be taken care of." - he grumbled irritably.

"I need this done right now; I don't want my wife working for someone else," he declared.

Riya, who had just entered his cabin, found their chat amusing. Dev has recently been quite polite to Riya. He built a bond with Riya after learning that she is Anu's well-wisher.

"Hello Riya, please take a seat." - Dev, who doesn't even raise his head when someone enters, replied kindly.

"Sir, I came to remind Mugil sir about the afternoon meeting." - she said. Dev spoke for him,"No, he has important work; I can attend to it."

Riya eyed Mugil, who raised his hands in a helpless condition. Riya figured out his

6condition and started updating Dev about the meeting.

After some time, both Riya and Mugil exited Dev's room.

"Sir, never attended this kind of meeting. All seems to be new, his gestures and all." - Riya expressed her observation.

"From now on, everything will be different." - Mugil grinned.

"Your friend has bewitched our Dev," he added.

"So you are the cupid here." - She questioned.

"Might be, but I need your help too."

"Can you tell me how I can help you with this? She added emotionally, "I can do anything for Anu's happiness."

"I am aware of that, which is why I am approaching you." - Even though he does not require her assistance at this time, he has gone to pull her into this.

"Tomorrow, I will be visiting Anu's workplace. You have to accompany me." - he said more like an order than a request.

"Sure, tell me the time, and I will be there" - she assured.

"No worries, you come to the office, we will start from here, I will tell you tomorrow." - saying that, he went to deal with his new assignment.

Anu was sincerely working in her cabin. Her colleagues teased her by saying,

"This is the first time we are seeing a person who looks very happy to work; we can see it in your face." - they told.

Anu was happy with her work. She has to look after the accounts related to the stock and supplies, and she felt very confident at her heart. When she was working like this, Mugil met the owner of her company. Though he was reluctant to sell his family business, the huge price blinded his eyes. As the paper works would take time, they initially signed an agreement for the transfer of powers.

Officially, Dev became the owner of the company. Mugil requested the management team to appoint Anu as acting Director, as insisted by Dev. Though the team was reluctant to do, they have no choice.

Anu, who doesn't know any of this, returned home happily. She burnt the ears of her parents with the information about her workplace.

As per Dev's order, a room was set up for Anu overnight. The room was an epitome of excellence with modern aesthetics. A brand new white glass top table with a white leather cover chair was specially ordered and placed in the center of the spacious room. A new nameplate with golden bold letters 'Mrs. Anuradha Satyadev' adorned the entrance of the room.
