Emerson stood their awkwardly not knowing what to say.
Henry broke the silence, "We know you were upset Emerson, but please tell us before hand if you go somewhere. I don't want Rose to be reason of my death."
Emerson looked at him and just stared blankly.
Even Henry was a little uncomfortable when he felt her intent gaze for too long.
She then narrowed her eyes and tilted her head.
"I knew you looked familiar. You were Grandpa Peter's friend. I met you twice at dinner at his house."
Emerson stated.
Henry sighed and nodded.
"That's how you knew me and chose me as your grandson's bride" She continued.
He again nodded.
She sighed and nodded.
"Sorry for worrying you. My phone was off" She apologized.
Henry again nodded and spoke.
"It's ok, I will be going now" And with that he left.
Emerson closed her eyes and faced the ceiling.
After a few minutes Adrien spoke,
"If you want to throw a tantrum next time, don't involve others in it. You don't know how much worried my Grandpa and Rose was." He spoke in a harsh tone.
'Definitely don't want to anger Rose next time' he muttered and unknowingly touched his ear.
Emerson saw his ear was turned dark red along with his skin near it.
She knew what happened and widened her eyes.
"Grandma Rose twisted your ear? " She shrieked.
Adrien didn't reply and just looked away mumbling curses under his breath.
Emerson couldn't control herself and laughed out loud.
She was laughing so hard, tears flowed down her cheek.
She couldn't imagine the scenario where her Grandma's tiny figure was angrily twisting his ear and he was pleading her to release it.
Adrien just looked at her. It was the first time he saw her laugh so fully and he couldn't deny it was view to see.
Her laugh was melodic and not high pitched shrieks.
He was so absorbed in looking at her he didn't notice she stoped laughing.
Emerson cleared her throat and Adrien snapped out of his day dream.
She waited a second and again laughter bubbled in her chest.
This time Adrien too couldn't control and joined her.
When they sobered up from their laughing fit Emerson took a deep breath.

" I am sorry. It wasn't my intention to worry anyone." She said in a low voice.
Adrien gulped and nodded, looking away.
He knew what he did was wrong but it was hard for him to apologize when he never said it to anyone.
"I shouldn't have said that, it was out of line" He said quietly but Em heard him.
She nodded and went to her room without any further words.
Adrien just sat in the living room while Emerson showered, and got ready for the day in black jeans and black T-shirt with white leather jacket on top. Hairs tied in bun and glasses on the bridge of nose. And her sports shoes.
When she came down with her bag Adrien saw her and he frowned.
"Going some where? " He asked.
Emerson turned towards him.
"Yeah, Central Park" She said.
Adrien's face showed disappointed look but be hid it and nodded.
She was walking towards the front door but she sighed and stopped. She turned towards Adrien and asked,
"Do you want to come with me? "
Adrien face lit up but he composed himself, "yeah.sure."
Emerson nodded, "Wear something casual and keep shades and cap with you. You wouldn't want your face in the magazine next day" With me she wanted to add but didn't.
Adrien nodded, "I'll be down in 15 minutes" And with that he sprinted towards their room.
Adrien was a little happy she asked him and excited for his day out.
It had been long since he took time off from work, and for casual day out as a normal person.
Emerson was excited too but she just hoped he won't do or say something which would just ruin her whole day.
In 15 minutes, Adrien was down with a small bag on his shoulder and keys in his hand.
He wore the the same thing as Emerson, and had his cap and shades on.
"Let's take my car." Adrien said.
"Ok" Emerson replied.
He chose white Porsche Panamera and Emerson face palmed herself.
Adrien raised a questioning eyebrow.
"Its the first thing to bring unwanted attention. Take Mercedes C- Class instead." She said.
Adrien nodded in realisation.
But somewhere he felt that Emerson was doing it because she didn't want to be seen with him.

He felt a little disappointed.
He took the driver's seat and Emerson sat in passenger seat.
They drove in silence as Emerson was doing something on her phone.
After a while she kept her phone back in her bag and told Adrien to stop near a store quick.
He obeyed without a word and she ran off in the store as soon as he stopped the car.
Emerson went inside the store and bought some snacks and water.
Adrien saw from the glass walls she bought some snacks and water and paid for it.
Seeing her pay for her own things made him guilty.
She came and sat in the car and gave him a peanut bar.
"You must be hungry. You weren't even showered when I came back." She said and smiled at him.
With her actions, his guilt was increasing.
He smiled back and accepted the bar.
He started driving and in no time they were at the Central Park.
While Adrien was parking, Emerson bought the tickets for unlimited rides .
Adrien saw she already bought tickets and didn't wait for him . As soon as he came, she gave him his ticket and ran off towards the roller coaster first with Adrien following her.
He saw the way her eyes lit up and the energy filled in her.
They waited in the line and Emerson was rocking on her heels.
In the ride too he noticed how she cheered excitedly and enjoyed it.
When the ride ended she was grinning from ear to ear and Adrien did the same.
She didn't ask him which ride he wanted to be on, just ran off to the most thrilling rides and Adrien just followed her like a lost puppy.
No words were exchanged between them and they were just cheering and laughing.
When it was nearly lunch time, Adrien didn't even realise.
Emerson was on like a fun spree.
At half past 1 , she finally turned towards Adrien. "Wait here, I'll be back quick" And without waiting for his reply, she disappeared.
Adrien was a little wary of it. He didn't want Emerson to be lost somewhere forgetting him and he didn't even had her phone number.
He decided to ask her when she returns.
He just observed his surroundings, and Emerson popped out nowhere in exact 5 minutes carrying a large tray with burgers, fries and chips on it.
She gestured him to follow her on a bench and he nodded.
They sat on a nearby bench.
"The red food truck has best junk food you will ever taste. Here." She kept the tray between them and started eating.
He tasted it and it was really good.
"Mhm. It's really tasty. More than McDonald's" He said.
"Told you. " She smiled cheekily.
A soft smile graced on his face looking at her happy face.
He decided to start a conversation.
"Do you always do this? I mean chill on weekends? " He asked.
"Yes! The first weekend after we married, when , I got a 4 days long weekend and so I took a small trip to a beach town, and hiking. It was really refreshing. The next weekend I spent in the city going out for movies and eating. The next in an adventure park.
Then the other one in a special Sunday market where natives perform their traditional arts. It was worth watching. You should try it to.
And now here, in Central Park.
It doesn't matter how much someone works, I think the weekend should be self refreshing day. It feels good to do it." She rambled on smiling widely.
He nodded softly. Seeing her like this made something stir inside him.
He could see how much she always worked , more than him but her weekends were definitely better than his.
They were then eating in silence when he saw a teenager group of some girls and boys, not more than 18 years old looking at them and whispering among themselves.
He groaned internally and adjusted his cap and shades so they wouldn't notice who he is.
He glanced at them from corner of their eye to see them aproach him and Emerson.
Emerson didn't notice them and was eating peacefully.
He didn't want his reputation ruin their day and people come to him to ask pics and autographs, he just wanted a single day normal but he knew there was no escape now.
