Winter's smiled as she saw her mate standing on the other side of the grounds, the king trapped in between them. The king looked at Arsen and then part of the army of the Winter Storm pack aligned next to Arsen. All in wolf form all with bared teeth ready to defend and fight for their alpha.

And then the king looked even more surprised as Aster and his wolves joined as well.

"So, you brought back up." The king smirked.

"You're still no match from us." He spat.

And then Roderick signaled something to the king's troops. Part of the army aligned themselves behind the prince.

"Are we done playing? Can we finally start?" the king said.

"I want to end this as quick as possible and drag you to my bed." the king smirked.

"I am going to drag you to hell."

Winter answered as she tore her skirt from her dress, leaving her in a skin-tight legging, her booths and the upper part of her dress. Winter looked the king death in the eye as around them people started to fight, the snaping and breaking of bones echoed over the field. Fur flew around as wolves started to change.

Roderick grabbed Winter by the arm.

"This is my fight." He smirked.

Winter took a step aside and in that moment two massive beasts charged at her. Winter had seen how they had changed, they were positioned right next to the king during the ceremony she knew that they would probably be among the strongest wolves on the field.

A wicked smile filled her face as she felt how excited her wolf was. Two seconds later her white wolf stood face to face with her two opponents. A few minutes in the fight Winter could already feel that the special elite of the king would be something else. She could only hope that she wouldn't lose too many wolves on her side.

The wolves in front of her attacked her almost simultaneously, mimicking each other's moves perfectly. It almost felt as if they were trained together, to execute the same series of attack. They both aimed for her back legs, trying to immobilize her, but Winter was quicker and jumped over them before they could bite her.

Winter needed to figure out who the leader of the two was to take them out. She slowly circled them watching how they moved, watching how they attacked. She knew she needed to pick her moment carefully, the moment she attacked she would be most vulnerable.

The pair charged at her again biting and aiming for her neck. Winter intercepted the one she assumed to be the leather and her teeth sunk into his collar, ripping fur out. That angered them both even more.

She felt how teeth sunk in her hip as she let go of the first one's collar. She bit hard in the shoulder of the second wolf, he immediately released the grip on her hip. Blood started to drip from her south as the two wolves regrouped.

Winter smirked as they looked at her, she was nowhere near done. She limped, but she wasn't chained yet. Doubt crept in her mind, she wasn't sure if she could win this fight as two more special elite wolves joined the fight. They formed a circle around Winter trapping her, pushing her in the direction they wanted, isolating her from the others.

The wolves took turns to attack her, but Winter noticed that they tried to minimize the damage, they clearly had the order to capture her alive. Winter's wolf didn't surrender, she answered each and every attack. She limped through the battle.

And then she saw her chance and grabbed one of the first wolves by the throat. A howl pierced through the air as she took his life. The three remaining wolves charged at the same time at her, she felt how one was able to grab her shoulder.

Winter was sure that she was done. And then something happened. A massive black wolf jumped in front of her, pulling the wolves off her.

Arsen.

He looked at his mate, worry filled his eyes. The alpha pair quickly became the centrum of the fight as more special elite wolves joined. All eager to take down one of those strong alphas. Winter however felt recharged by Arsen's presence.

They stood back-to-back, teeth bared. Each wolf that tried to attack was slaughtered by the two alphas working together. Winter looked over the field, they finally had the upper hand, she smiled at Arsen.

'Let's finish this darling, I want to go home.' Arsen's voice filled her head.

'Thought you'd never ask'

A wolf charged at the pair, Arsen immediately wrestled him down, while Winter held the others at a distance. Grabbing the once's that aimed for her mate, wounding more than one deadly.

More and more wolves of their pack joined, the army of the king was slowly reducing. Winter looked over the field to where she last saw the king and Roderick. In horror she saw how Roderick wasn't only fighting the king but two other wolves as well.

Arsen followed her line of sight.

'Go, I follow. This can't be all for nothing.' he said. Winter dashed out of the fight and sprinted over the grounds as she saw how the king was about to kill Roderick, while the other wolves held him down.

Roderick was fighting with all his might, but it was clearly not an equal fight. No decent king would fight like this.

Winter launched herself in the air and crashed against the king's body, pushing him away from Roderick. Arsen immediately followed grabbing one of the wolves holding Roderick down.

The king lay beneath Winter's paws, he smiled wickedly at her. She growled threatening crashing her alpha vibes over him. He immediately did the same and the two forces collided on the field.

Winter however didn't move, her two paws firmly placed on his shoulders. Blood had colored her white fur, some was hers, some was of her victims, but the king studied it carefully. Suddenly he moved with all his force and grabbed her shoulder, biting right in the wound Winter already had.

For a moment her grip on the king loosened and he took that second to push Winter of his body. Winter and the king stood eye to eye, she knew she couldn't kill him. That had to be Roderick, she needed to weaken him so Roderick could finish the fight.

Winter and the king slowly circled each other. Arsen was helping Roderick back up, he was heavily wounded but he was still alive. Winter looked at the king, he growled threatening at her. She just looked at him, deadly calm.

And then she jumped grabbing his collar, trying to wrestle him down. Winter bit deep inside his neck, she had to hold one. The king was surprised by her move, but immediately tried to shake her lose, slamming her body against the ground.

Winter let go and looked at the king, blood dripped from his neck. He grabbed her back by the shoulder, Winter whimpered in pain. Arsen's wolf moved forward, but Winter bared her teeth pushing him back.

The king's snout was covered in white fur as he smirked at her. He looked proudly at her, but Winter wasn't backing down, no she aimed straight for his behind legs. She bit hard as she grabbed his leg, pulling him down.

And in that moment Roderick growled.

He jumped right up on the king. Winter felt how her wounds caught up with her.

The battlefield faded.

The world faded.

The panicking voice in her head faded.

And everything turned black.
