《The Whitefortis Alpha, Rewriting the rules.》Chapter 23 - Our land

Winter looked at the sky, she closed her eyes for a second. The wolves of the Silent Winter pack had mostly assembled in front of the compound. She smiled as she heard the footsteps, knowing the numbers in which they had arrived.
Border patrol was still running, but she knew they would listen in using the mind link. Winter opened her eyes and looked at the crowd. A gasp went through the crowd.
"Your eyes." Luke stammered.
"My eyes?" Winter asked confused.
"The brown, they are glowing golden." Luke stammered.
"What does that mean?" Blade asked confused.
Winter looked for Thomas in the crowd, he looked right at her and nodded his head. She knew what that meant, the result of the vote in Arsen's pack was done.
She felt even more nervous in the moment.
"For the past days you have all seen the Opal Storm pack here, you have heard the rumors that Alpha Arsen is my mate. And you have all seen how some of us have found their mate in his pack, even though we rogues aren't supposed to have mates. Scratch that, it's safe to say that we are no longer rogues, we are a pack, a family. You are facing an important decision."
She was silent for a second and looked at her pack members.
"We talked a lot these past days and listened to your concerns and advices. We came to the conclusion that we could benefit from merging with the Opal Storm pack, that we will respect our current rules as much as possible but that we will have to make some compromises as will they. But we'll continue to live by one rule and one rule only, so in that sight I want the opinion of all my pack members. We'll clear out the mind link and then we can vote."

Winter eyes blanked and she carefully listened, no reaction came. She opened her eyes and looked baffled at the wolves in front of her. Luke stepped forward
"We don't need to vote, because we all agree." He said with a big smile.
Winter grabbed Luke and hugged him tight.
"Easy, easy. Arsen will have my head if your smell is all over me." He looked at his alpha.
"Winter your eyes, they are even brighter." He stammered.
"What's happening?" he asked.
"The Opal Storm pack has accepted as well." She softly said.
Wolves all around her started to howl and to cheer.
Winter walked through the woods over towards the edge of where her territory edged with Arsen's. He stood there wearing a big smile, his eyes sparkled bright blue, but what was most remarkable was the silver ring surrounding his Iris.
Winter studied him, she couldn't find words to describe how beautiful it was.
"Alpha" Winter said as she bowed her head a little.
"Alpha" Arsen replied as he did the same.
"Your eyes." Arsen stammered.
"I know." Winter replied.
"You should see yours, they are beautiful." She softly whispered.
His fingers trailed over her cheek.
"How was the vote?" she asked.
"90 percent agreed." He said with a big smile.
"And the other 10? She asked.
"Left, they couldn't accept that the most fitted wolf would be responsible for a function." Arsen said.
"I am sorry." Winter replied.
"Your pack was unanimous?" he asked.
Winter nodded her head.
"How do you know?"
"I took some precautions."
She looked startled at him.
"Winter, you are my mate. There wasn't a chance of me not being with you."
Winter smiled softly at him.

"You don't have to worry." She smiled back.
As their lips crashed, sparks flew through the air. Winter felt how Arsen's strength and knowledge floated through her veins. Now that the pack had accepted to become one, she knew it would be only a matter of time before they would mate and their mind link would merge.
"Are you scared?" Arsen asked.
"Honestly? A bit." Winter responded.
"But I have got you now to share that burden with."
"You do."
"We'll have a general pack meeting and then at then of the week a mating ceremony will be held for us." Arsen said.
Winter smiled at him.
"Are you looking forward to it?" she softly asked.
"It's all I have been thinking about from the moment I lay eyes on you." He replied.
"There is someone else who likes to meet you." He added.
Winter smirked.
"How about I'll show you around our territory?" he asked.
Arsen changed into a big black wolf without even bothering to take of his clothes. His wolf wanted to impress his mate and he was letting him. Winter smiled as the enormous beast approached her and carefully nudged her side. She smiled and seconds later her white wolf dashed out.
Her wolf was not holding back she instantly charged for Arsen's wolf and tackled him to the ground, trying to pin him down sniffing from top to bottom. Arsen's wolf growled in response but let her and when she was done, he did the same.
Winter felt how her wolf was happy as she chased Arsen along their territory. She felt happy, as if everything was as it has to be.
'I know I have already said it, but I am going to do it again your wolf is majestic.'
A voice filled her head. Winter looked startled at the black wolf in front of her.
'How is that possible?' she asked.
He shook his head in response.
'I have no idea, but it only shows how strong we are together.' He replied.
Winter found her wolf smirking at Arsen and took off challenging him. They both raced each other towards a small river bank. Arsen's wolf was on her heels, but Winter managed to stay a head until she felt the cool water at her paws.
Arsen crashed right against her, their wolves both stumbling in the water. Arsen's wolf stayed as close to hers as possible, she felt how he snuggled closer to her and started to lick her fur gently. She bowed her ears and let him. He growled softly and it was the sexiest thing Winter's wolf had ever heard.
'What if we shifted back?' Arsen asked, his wolfs eyes searched hers.
'Here?' She asked.
'I want to feel the river on my skin. I want to feel you on my skin.' He smirked.
His eyes sparkled mischievously; the silver ring sparkled brightly with the reflection of the sun in it.
'Nobody will see us and we are safe inside our land.' Arsen voiced Winter's thought.
'Our land.'
Winter's wolf smiled as she licked Arsen's snout. A possessive growl followed and Arsen shifted back in his human form. He lay himself down in the water looking with a burning desire at Winter.
Winter took a deep breath, her wolf purred trying to reassure her, that she could trust Arsen. As she had shifted back to her human form, she carefully placed herself down on the river bank next to him. Her body covered in the water.
Arsen carefully moved closer and grabbed her chin, directing her towards his mouth. He kissed her fiercely and deepened the kiss in seconds, his hands trailed over her body. Winter was burning with desire. He softly let go and looked in her eyes.
"The dangerous alpha Arsen seems not so bad after all." Winter smiled.
"That's only in your company, preferably with you naked or in lingerie." He winked.
