Jack grabbed Winter's arm and dragged her over to the bar.

"Luke, tell her we can't let a woman fight." He said.

Luke looked at Winter.

"Why not? It's not like you are forcing her. From your conversation she clearly wants to. And you should be grateful, it will indeed bring a ton of money."

Jack looked shocked at his brother.

"She is a woman for god's sake. You are supposed to be the wise one, you are my older brother. You need to tell me that this is a bad idea." He said.

"Or we could try it once." Winter said.

"I will not look at you beaten and bloody. Just because you are a stubborn woman."

"Who says I will be the one covered in blood?" she asked.

Luke smiled at her.

"You are rather confident that you will win." He said with a smirk.

"I am not, but I know what I am capable off and what my wolf is. And she has been begging me for a fight for the last couple of days."

Winter closed her eyes to push the memories and the pain back.

"What was your place in the pack?" Luke asked.

"I had no specific place, but my brothers insisted that I learned to fight and defend myself. I quickly crossed ranks in our force even though my father forbade me receiving an official rank." Winter answered truthfully.

"You should give her a chance." Luke said to Jack.

"Have you lost it to?"

He asked his brother and Winter snickered.

"Jack, just give me a chance, if you don't like it, I will never ask to do it again. You can even watch me train if you want."

She looked at him, his eyes were filled with worry.

"Do you try to get yourself killed?" he asked.

Winter smiled.

"No I am not. I just try to find a way to move on."

Jack and Luke escorted Winter in the compound where the fighting pit was.

"If we are going to do this, I'll pick your opponent, no discussion. Got it?" he asked her stern.

Winter nodded her head.

"And I will introduce you to our fighters. You think you have won jet? You still need to convince our fighters."

She smiled at his response and followed the two men inside. Enrique, who she had saved earlier that day quickly ran over the moment he saw them.

"Are you letting her fight?" he asked.

"Easy Enrique." Jack said.

"Yeah, I am schedule her against Vinnie."

Winter heard Luke snicker behind her, she threw him a questioning look.

"He is not taking any chance with you." He said with a smile.

"Jack, you don't have to protect me or go easy on me." She said.

He sighed.

"You know what you agreed to." He replied.

"How do I announce her?" Enrique asked.

"Any suggestions Winter?" Jack asked her.

"Maybe Summer." Enrique laughed feeling hilarious.

"Hope" she answered stern.

"I like it."

Jack said and walked further over towards the training room of the fighters. He whistled loudly and they all came towards him.

"Guys we have a new addition to the team. Give Hope a warm welcome." He said stern.

Winter waved at the guys in front of her. They looked all startled at her.

"Boss, with all due respect but I am not going to fight a girl." A big guy said.

"Afraid you will lose?" Winter said confident and with a smirk.

He took a step forward as did she, until they were almost standing nose to nose.

"No, it's just a matter of respect." He said stern as he looked in her eyes.

"Why do you want to be beaten up by a guy?" he asked.

Luke looked amused at the situation in front of him. Jack was passing the room, nervous about the whole situation. Winter laughed.

"I don't want to be beaten up by a guy. I just want to beat up a guy." She said wicked.

"Your nuts." The guy answered.

"Big Franky calm down." Jack tried to ease the situation.

"Look, I know that most of you would never hit a girl let alone think about trying. But it's not the same inside the fighting pit. I have trained and fought with many wolves in pits, in there you just can forget that I am a girl." She said.

Big Franky looked her up and down.

"Fine let's see what you got." He said.

Winter had changed in sport gear and was standing in a practice ring. Marshall stood in front of her, he was bigger than her, but not the biggest fighter in the group. He wouldn't fight in the pit anymore, he would mostly train the others.

The men all stood around the ring looking at this foolish girl. Luke and Jack stood next to each other, their eyes never leaving Winter.

"Who you want to bet on?" Jack asked.

"Winter." Luke replied without doubt.

"You think she is going to win from Marshall?"

"Yeah, I am pretty sure she will kick his ass." Luke had a smile on his face.

"Wipe that stupid smile of your face." Jack said with a laugh.

Enrique opened the fight and all the men followed Winter's movements closely.

"Why do we like her? She is a rogue after all?" Jack asked his brother.

"Look around us, we aren't rogues anymore. We are more and more becoming a pack." Luke said.

"Maybe she is just what we need." He added.

Jack smiled at his brother. They followed Winter's movement, she danced fast and nimble through the ring. She blocked almost all incoming punches and dodged the rest of them.

Marshall didn't seem able to find an entrance in her defense. She threw a couple of punches, but to the men it looked like she was holding back. But they all landed where they were supposed to.

Marshall started to limp from her last kick and Enrique looked over at Jack. He understood what he was trying to tell, so he ended the fight.

"Wait what are you doing?" Winter asked.

"Ending the fight." Jack said.

"You have proven yourself." He added.

She smiled and hugged Marshall.

"Thank you for going against me." She said with a smile.

He looked confused at the girl in front of him. She removed her gloves and placed them on the floor. The boys all gave her some form of high five to welcome her to the team. She walked over to Jack and Luke with a smile.

"Satisfied?"

The guys had helped Winter with wrapping her hands and they had given her some tips. She made her way over to the side of the pit, for her first fight. She felt nervous but her wolf was beyond exited.

She chuckled at herself, the guy was in for a surprise. Pour Vinnie, she felt already sorry for him. When she had seen him, she immediately had known that he wouldn't stand a chance against her.

But with her alpha vibes not showing the others couldn't tell that. Winter peeked from between the curtains in the room. It was filled to the nock, the place was totally sold out. Suddenly she heard how someone approached her.

"Are you ready?" Jack asked.

"Yeah I am." She said.

"Can I give you a hug for good luck?" he asked.

Winter nodded and he wrapped his arms around her.

"Be careful I came to like you in these couple of days." He said.

Winter smiled and he looked her over.

"No, Winter you are not fighting wearing that."

She looked down at her grey lose shirt and her fitting sport legging.

"What's wrong with my outfit?" she asked.

"Men pay to see a woman fight. Hand over the shirt." Jack said stern.

Winter felt how the panic started to rise, if she would remove her shirt people could see the scar. She would feel vulnerable without it. Jack saw that she was scared.

"Winter it isn't up for discussion give me the shirt or you are not fighting."

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She pulled her shirt over her head and brazed herself for the pity. But instead, she found something else. Jack's eyes were full ablaze.

"Damn Winter, you look smoking hot." He said.

Winter smiled a bit more confident.

Suddenly she heard how a voice started to speak in the pit.

"Gentlemen, wolves, rogues and everything else, tonight we have something special planned for you all. Tonight is the night that almost all your fantasies will come true. I presented to you our newest addition to the team Hope. And we can all hope with this one, if you know what I mean." Enrique's voice filled the room.

"That's your que, good luck honey."

Jack said and pushed her through the curtains.

As winter stepped inside the ring the arena filled with whistles and loud howls.

"For the first time ever, in our right corner Hope".

Enrique yelled again and the crowd went wild. Winter smiled and right in that moment the camera caught her smile. Her face and smile were plastered over all the screens in the arena. She threw in a wink. And the crowd went wild again.

"Man wouldn't we all kill for that smile."

Howls, cheers and whistles filled the arena, Winter felt confident. She knew that this was what she needed.

"And in our left corner Vicious Vinnie."

Enrique screamed trying to get over the howls.

He stood in front of her looking nervous. They both came to the center of the ring for the start of the fight. Fists lined up.

"Don't forget what I told you, I am not a girl here. I am just another rogue." She said.

Vinnie nodded his head.

"For we start a quick rundown of the rules. Fighting is allowed, shifting is allowed and biting is allowed. If at any point you need to surrender do so by hitting with your hand on the ground. If not fight till you get killed."

Enrique's loud voice filled the arena again.

"Ready, set, Fight." He yelled and a tense silence filled the arena.

Vinnie was a good head taller than her and he was a lot broader. But Winter had seen from his normal movements that he moved slow. She had no idea about the strength he would punch with. But she knew that she could easily beat him in speed.

If she shifted, he didn't stand a chance. Winter wanted to postpone the shifting as long as possible. She didn't want people to be intrigued by her ability to change so fast.

Winter started the dance by circling around Vinnie, she saw he was impatient and he threw a first punch. She easily dodged him.

She didn't want to drag this any longer than necessary but Jack had said that a good fight would at least take ten minutes. So, Winter did exactly that, she dodged and blocked the first ten minutes every hit of the fight without delivering a single punch.

She felt how the crowd got a bit restless and then precisely when the ten minutes had passed. She tackled him hard, making him slump to the ground. A roar went through the crowed.

Winter took a few steps back to give him space. She looked at him trying to anticipate his next move. Would he already shift or would he wait a bit longer? Vinnie pulled himself up and looked at her.

He was angered by the kick he lunged immediately for her. She side stepped him and delivered two hard punches on his ribs. She studied him she wanted to provoke him into shifting, she knew that she would be more impressive if she took down a wolf.

So that's exactly what she did. She provoked him with kicks and punches until he shifted.

'Let me out, let me out.' Her wolf screamed excited in her head.

'Not Yet, I want you as I surprise. He isn't worthy of your time.' Winter answered.

She looked at the dark grey wolf in front of her. He tried to bite her but she quickly moved. He lunched for her, and in one swift movement Winter rolled under him and getting back up at him.

Before Vinnie had realized what had happened, she jumped from behind on him. She quickly wrapped her arms around his neck and strangled him. He tried to roll her off, but she didn't move. She only squeezed harder.

Winter wrestled them both down towards the ground. She felt how Vinnie was weakening in her hold. Right before he chocked, he changed back in his human form and folded smashing his hand on the ground.

The crowd went wild.
