Chapter 3
**** picture of Jason****
~M
We stop in front of a huge brick building with a high scale styled design and looked more like a hotel then a house. It was surrounded by trees and practically no one was outside.
"Not bad," I mumble, earning a smirk from one of the guys.
"Mr. Grey," the tall man says, "we need to bring her into your fathers study. Your father will want see her right away." He says and Jason nod his head agreeing.
For some reason seeing him with his pack makes him look older. He has authority here, but back in the woods he was just a silly kid, who didn't like the other children in his pack.
They walk me through the house. It has wooden floors with a dark colored wall and some decretory things. It was all very organized and felt a little homey. I liked their taste. It had this amazing lingering scent that I could understand why I loved it so much. It smelt delicious.
We turn to one of the first doors in a long hallways and Jason knocks lightly, "yes?" A clear and dominant voice asks.
Jason pushes the doors open to the study. It's the same type of design as the hall way except with books selves has high has the ceiling and papers in piles.
The man standing in the center of the room next to his desk has a dark colored hair and deep green eyes. He has a strong built with a collared shirt and slack pants he is holding up papers.
He sniffs the air and cringes, with his eyes darken slightly.
"Father I-" Jason begins
"Why do I smell a Rogue, Jason Copper Grey?" He asks in a rasp voice.
His son flinches slightly at the saying of his full name.
"Alpha this woman-" the man behind us tries to say.
"Don't breath another word. You brought filth into my pack," he says and stands up straighter.
"She saved my life father." He says with a growl and the Alpha raises an eyebrow at the child.
I look at him surprised he actually growled at his father. Everyone else seemed shocked too. A Blanton sigh of disrespect eve if it was his dad.
Jason then explains how he met me in the woods. Then the men thought I was a threat but almost shot him and then I saved him. His father stays silent but his intense stare watches me closely.
"Why we're you out in the woods alone Jason?" His father finally asked. Jason looks down at the floor. The Alpha sighs and looks back at his papers for a moment.
I tap Jason's shoulder bending down.
He looks back up to me questionably. "Always keep eye contact. Never lose it," I whisper and he nods looking back up at his father.
"I was bored. You never trust me to do anything," he says.
He father studies him for a moment "Point taken, maybe you should start attending training early on," his father says. Which apparently is a good thing in this pack because Jason was beaming with joy. If it was me that would seem like punishment. What a strange pack.
"But why were you with a Rogue?" his father asks and Jason doesn't answer but keeps eye contact.

"Doesn't matter now I suppose. Have a seat please. Ron go call the pack doctor," he says and one of the men behind is leaves without a word.
Me and Jason take a seat in the leather chairs in front if the dark wooden desk. "Mind if I ask you a few questions?" He asks and I shake my head, "knock yourself out," I say. He sits on the edge of his desk closest to me.
"What is your name?"
"Sophia,"
"What happened to your pack?"
"Classified."
"Do you travel with others?"
"No."
"Did you travel with others once?"
"Classified."
"How old are you?"
"19"
"Did you plan to harm my child?"
"No."
"Where do you come from?"
"Classified."
"Is that accent real?"
"The British one? Maybe or maybe it's to throw you off." I say with a smirk.
"Do you plan to harm my pack?"
He asks and I drop my smirk for a moment and lean forward in my chair.
"I don't 'harm' people."
"Then what do you call throwing my men around?" He glances at the already bruised and cut skin of one of the men.
"Self defense,"
He looks at me and leans in further. His eyes are trying to decide to kill me or not.
"Has anyone every told you that you have very old eyes. Eyes that are too old to belong to such a young woman." He asks
"Has anyone ever told you that the eyes are the passage way to the soul. If you stare into another's eyes to long you will become trapped in their soul, only to lose your own?" I ask and he doesn't hide the smirk on his face.
"Can't say I have," he says and leans back with a small smile.
"Can't say I haven't," I say answering his previous statement.
"Tell me Sophia." He pauses and looks down to my light blue loose, thin strapped top.
Then at the blood stain that keeps growing. I'm just happy I have black shorts so you can't see the rest of the blood.
"Are you in pain? Or do you not even feel it, seeing that you are a warrior?" He asks and I am taken back a little.
It must have been my scar that gave it away. The one on my shoulder.
Not to long ago there was a huge war between werewolves. It was three packs vs hundreds of rogues. It ended badly with thousands killed. Those who survived were called Warriors and became feared.
I was actually on the packs side and fought with them. However, most of my friends died, so I didn't want to stay with the pack.
"Of course I feel pain ..doesn't mean .... that I...... submit ..... to ...it.." I say but become quieter and quieter has I speak. I sniff the air for a moment.
There is a scent. A strong one getting closer. It smells...... it smells.... familiar, safe. Like some thing unmistakeable yet unnameable.
My face drops, no it couldn't be. But I don't want one. I don't need one. It can't be. It doesn't even smell like how fairy tales say it's supposed to. It's doesn't smell like the pine or chocolate or the woods! It's smells like nothing yet everything.

The doors of the office slam open and my head snaps to the entrance.
Standing there is a man about 6'4 with a built yet slender body. With dirty blonde hair almost brown and blue eyes that looks like the sky on a clear day. He is wearing kaki shorts with a white T-shirt. His chest his rising and falling fast.
He honestly his very, very handsome with the smallest scar across his nose and a defined jaw. His muscles tensing and relaxing as he tries to control his breathing.
He looks around the room till he spots me and we lock eyes. Immediately sparks fly, my entire body has goosebumps spreading from my fingertips to my toes. Along with shivers running up and down my spine.
"Mate. Mine." My wolf howls and I stay silent, I haven't heard her in over a year.
Since the end of the war she become tired and doesn't say much. She never really did to begin with, that's what makes her so mysterious.
The mans gaze is dead set one me.
"You," he says breathless.
"No," I state.
"Your-" he continues.
"Nope I'm not," I say trying to pretend this isn't real.
"Your my Mate"
I stand up abruptly "this is a misunderstanding," I reply.
But then my side starts to burn and I yelp in pain and fall to one knee surprised by the pain.
The stranger comes rushing in, sitting on his knees, pressing his forehead to mine. He puts one hand behind my back for support. And the other over my hand where my wound is.
"What wrong?" He asks and I glance from him to where my hand is and back to him.
He slowly moves my hand and my shirt, the wound has gotten worse. There is a gash about an inch in my side and there is a lot more blood. I use my free hand to hold the material of his shirt from the shoulder. Just as a way to deal with the pain
"What happened?" He asks and looks back up at me. I avoid his gaze.
"Nothing," I breath and hold my side tighter. "She was shot," Jason answers quietly. I shot him a glare and he shrinks his shoulders down.
"What!?" The stranger asks raising his voice. His eyes darken and he holds me tighter, pulling me into his chest.
"Lukas do you know this girl?" The Alpha asks and his gaze tares away from mine.
"No." He says sharply. Which made my wolf whin and I silently cursed at her for being so weak.
"Luke is she really your mate?" Jason
asks trying to hide a smile.
"Yes." He says with a softer voice and I can see a small smile form on his lips.
"Jason no, it's not like that. I have to leave I'm sorry," I pant having trouble breathing. It's just a bullet it shouldn't hurt this much.
The strangers grip on me tightens even more with my response. His smile is gone and he is obviously not to happy with my way of handling having a mate.
I ignore his stare and snaps my head up to the men along the wall and look for the one from the woods.
"Big guy to the left," I say still breathing heavily. He looks at me surprised. "By any chance do you lace your bullets in Dark Tooth poison?" I ask.
Dark Tooth poison is a special kind of wolf killing chemical mixture and silver mostly. Since, it's recently new I haven't yet been able to adapt to it yet. Any other poison and I would have been fine but not this.
"Yea. So?" He asks and crosses his arm defensively. I pull up my shirt and dig into the hole in my side.
I bit my bottom lip hard to stop from screaming, hard enough to make it bleed.
The pain is like a burning feel that won't stop. My entire side feels like it's on fire and it's excruciating, "what are you doing?!" the Alpha shouts alarmed.
I ignore him and I pull the bullet out of my body, with a heavy breath. I hold it up in between my index finger and my middle finger. With a flick of my wrist it goes flying at the man who shot me with unseeable speed.
It lands next to his ear, imbedded into the door frame.
"Well that should have come up earlier in conversation don't you think," I say as suddenly another surge of pain goes through me and I hunch over.
"Sophia!" Jason shouts and runs next to me while I'm still in the strangers arms. "Are you alright?" He asks.
"Where's that doctor of yours kid?" I ask trying to keep my eyes open. The effect of the poison taking over. I lay my head on the shoulder of the stranger. Well I guess his name is Lukas.
Suddenly the doors swing open and a woman walks through. She spots me and walks right over.
"I thought it was just a bullet wound. Why does she look so terrible?" The woman asks and Lukas growls quietly so only I can hear.
"Not helping," I pant and she crouches down next to me and feels for a pulse.
She goes bug eyes after about a minutes.
"You barely have a heart beat! How are you still conscious? How are you still even alive?" She shrieks.
"So you the doctor then?" I ask starting to drift. "I need a antidote for Dark Tooth poison, I need 5 to 8 milligrams of morphine in 2 milligram shots at a time through an IV, and a blood transfusion," I tell her.
She looks at me dumbfound for a moment, "Now," I say somehow still managing to sound authoritative. The doctor finches at me tone but nods.
"Luke, Carry her to the infirmary," she says.
He doesn't need to be told a second time as he scoops me up as if I weigh nothing. Then carries me out of the room with my arms dangling and my head on his shoulder.
My eyes start to close "stay with me," he mumbles into my hair.
"Oh shut it. I've survived worse," I say. Then all I see is black...
