《Forced Enemies》Chapter Fifty Six

Door after door, I searched for James.

Each door that I slammed open, and found the room empty, I grew angrier, my blood boiling as I continued down the hallway.

He was going to pay for what he did to me, to me and my family; including Kye.

I tried to move fast, for I knew Kye could pop out of any corner and drag me home.

When I walked out of the last room, I slammed my hands on the walls, screaming as I let my anger out.

"Fuck!" I shouted, looking back down the hallway, my eyes going to every single room that was empty.

He could be gone by now, far away in a safe house somewhere.

I was so conflicted, so frustrated.

"Don't cry," a voice said, a twinge of amusement behind his words as he pointed to gun towards me.

My hand went straight for the pistol that was in James hand, making it fly out of the way and onto the floor below.

I heard a grunt from him as my fist connected to his face, and I hoped I broke his nose, or worse.

"you'll never kill me," he said breathlessly, his arm blocking my next punch towards him.

All I felt was rage, so deep that I couldn't hear; couldn't see.

I used everything inside me that I had learned these past few months. My body twisted in the way taught me, my leg reaching his torso, and he groaned out.

"Bitch," he murmured, reaching towards me as I backed up.

I quickly grabbed the gun at my side, pointing it straight towards him.

He turned his head to the side, smiling as he looked down at me, stepping closer.

"You won't pull the trigger," he said to me, and my grip tightened.

"You underestimate me," I spat. "You trained me like a dog, I felt so useless."

He didn't stop walking when my back hit the wall, and when he took his final step, his forehead landed against the barrel of the gun.

"Do it Aliyah, kill me."

My breath hitched, my eyes faltered. His dark gaze staring at me as I stood there, helpless.

"I said fucking kill me!" he yelled, his voice so loud I felt it vibrate throughout my body.

"You're just as useless as you were when we were together, you always will be you pathetic whore." he hissed out. "Training you was a mistake, you were a piece of-"

He didn't finish his sentence when the sound of the bullet rang out, my body shaking as I looked down at his still body.

When I looked around, trying to find who had shot the gun, I found no one, and when the realization hit me, I felt my hand shake.

Why was this so hard for me? I had just killed dozens of people moments ago, but I was unable to kill the person who had tormented and abused me for years.

After all this time, I had not let go of my past, my dark secrets pouring out of me as I stared at his finally dead body.

My eyes faltered, and I fought to stay awake. But the over exhaustion, and the fear of James took over me, and I felt my body slump to the ground.

The silence had startled me awake, my breath heavy as I searched the room.

It was silent and dark, my body covered in familiar bed sheets.

A hand crept around my waist, strong fingers rubbing against my exposed skin, and I felt myself relax.

"You're awake," he whispered, his hand pulling my back against his chest. "We have a lot to talk about my love," he murmured against my skin.

I let out a shaky breath, my eyes still heavy. When I closed my eyes, I felt Kye nuzzle his face into the crook of my neck, and I quickly fell asleep.

When I awoke, Kye had stayed in bed, his arm still draped over my body.

I turned toward him, his eyes already open, staring at me.

"What happened," I asked quickly, and his eyes narrowed toward me.

"Wow," he groaned out, his voice still raspy. "You're not even going to say good morning Liy?"

I rolled my eyes, "good morning."

He smiled, slipping his hand to my shoulder, playing with the strand of hair that had fell.

"It's over now," he stated, "James is gone- thanks to you," he smiled again. "And his mafia was taken down."

I breathed in, "and after that? What happened to me?"

He twisted the strand of hair around his finger.

"I found you, after you ran away from me," he ended the sentence with a glare. "James was dead, and your limp body was next to it."

He briefly closed his eyes, letting the strand fall from his finger.

"I thought you were dead Aliyah, I thought he fucking killed you."

I placed my hand on the side of his face and kissed him harshly, "I'm sorry."

He pulled away and brought me closer, "don't you dare say you're sorry," he murmured against my lips, "this is his fault not yours."

His hand went to the back of my thigh, and I easily put it over his legs, his large hand sprawled over my skin, squeezing it tight.

"I've missed you so much," he whispered.

"Just shut up and kiss me," I breathed out, and I heard him groan as I brought myself closer to him.

His fingers trailed to the hem of my shorts, teasing as he didn't go any further.

"Kye," I said, and I heard him mumble a yes from his kisses at my neck.

"Don't be a fucking tease," I whispered out, my voice almost shaking as he placed his fingers closer to me, his teeth grazing against my skin.

"I've missed the taste of you, the feel of you."

I couldn't help but moan as his fingers finally reached my center, slowly tracing against me.

When he lowered himself, he kissed every inch of my skin, sucking against it to create a mark.

He finally reached my lower half, and kissed my inner thighs.

"Fuck you're beautiful," he groaned out, and instant pleasure shot through my body as he attached his mouth to me, allowing me to wrap my thighs around him.
