《Forced Enemies》Chapter Thirty Three

He didn't come to bed that night, he didn't even speak another word to me.
I knew he was still in the house, for we couldn't be seen apart, because we were still pretending to be married.
I know I shouldn't be hurt, this was an arrangement, he's not actually married to me.
It wasn't any different from when I slept with Marcus, but I thought Kye and I had something more?
It doesn't matter anymore, I'm over it. And if he wants to be a dick, then so be it.
So that's why I got dressed, opening the doors to walk into the living room.
He sat there, a blanket over his body and a pillow at his side.
I walked past him, not even glancing at him as I reached the door.
"Where do you think you're going?" He asked.
"None of your fucking business," I snapped, opening the door.
"Aliyah don't you dar-"
He didn't finish when I slammed the door, the warm air slapping me in the face as I walked down the sidewalk.
I took a deep breath as I continued to walk to the beach, the newly risen sun blazing down on my skin.
I took off my shoes when I reached the sand, the familiar soft feeling making my body calm down.
I walked for a bit, trying to take my mind off of what Kye did, and how I feel.
I didn't stop until I saw a group of boys play a game of volleyball, their ball rolling towards me on the sand.
I picked it up, wiping the wet sand off of it.
"Sorry about that," one of them said while running towards me.
"It's all good," I replied, handing him the ball.
He smiled down at me, spinning the ball in his hands.
"Wanna play?" He asked.
"I'm not sure how," I said honestly, and he just shrugged.
The rest of his group called out to him, and he replied back, throwing the ball back to them.

"What's your name?" He asked.
"Aliyah," I said smiling, and he smiled when he put his hand out, and I shook it.
"I'm Ethan," he said, putting his hand down.
We both started to walk, and I couldn't help but notice his bare chest, and how his arms flexed as we walked.
"Why are you all alone?" He asked.
I shrugged, "I just wanted to go on a walk by myself."
"Oh- I should go then."
He stopped walking and I stopped him from moving.
"No you're all good, I like the company."
He just smiled and continued to walk, the water coming up from shore and gliding underneath our feet.
"Don't you want to go play your game?" I asked him after a moment.
"Nah, I've been playing for some time now, I should take a break."
I nodded, turning my attention to the water.
"What's wrong?" He asked me, and I stopped walking.
I fully turned my body to the ocean, taking a deep breath as I walked into the water.
I didn't go far, the water just reached my ankles.
"It's just some guy," I replied.
"Oh," he started, "why's that?"
"He kinda fucked some other girl."
"Ouch, that's harsh."
I chuckled at his comment, "right?"
"This guy needs to go," he said.
I took a deep breath, "it's complicated."
The sudden roar of thunder in the distance made both of us stop talking.
"I should probably get going, but if that guy never works out, here's my num-"
He didn't finish when someone came up to us, and I watched as Kye stormed up to him.
"Aliyah what the fuck are you doing?" He shouted, eyeing Ethan that stood there.
"Sorry man, I was just walking with her."
I watched as Kye clenched his fists at his side, trying to control his anger as I stood beside Ethan.
"I'll catch you later," Ethan said after a moment, giving me a glance as he walked back to his group.

"What is wrong with you?" I said to him, taking to hands and pushing him.
"We're still married," he hissed out.
"Seriously! You fucked some other girl!" I yelled, stepping away from him.
He clenched his jaw, and I watched as the thunder roared again, the dark clouds coming over top of us.
"No I didn't," he said, wincing as rain drops started to pour on his face.
"You told me last night, that you fucked that girl that night."
"No I didn't," he said again, "it was a lie."
I just chuckled, moving my hair out of my face as the rain started to come down harder, and all I wanted to do was to get away from him.
"I don't believe that."
"That's your choice," he said. "I only did it to make you fucking jealous, I only wanted you to care."
"Of course I fucking care," I shouted, "you ruined me, I- I don't even know what to think anymore."
I felt my eyes tear up as I stared at him.
"I didn't even want to touch that girl, when she kissed me I pulled her off, I pushed her off of me," he said, taking out his phone and showing me a video from a different perspective.
"I only knew that you knew cause my father called me, saying that it was over social media, I just guessed." He continued on.
I didn't say anything as he continued on, the roaring rain sounding around us.
"There was only one thing true that I said last night, one thing I don't regret saying."
The tears were pooling now, and I thanked the universe for the rain.
"I didn't stop thinking about you that entire party, I couldn't get you off my mind."
He was shouting over the rain, his hair soaked on his forehead, and his shirt clinging to his body as he stood before me.
"Then why would you say those things to me, why would you make me feel this way!"
"Because I don't know what to say with you! I don't know what to do!"
"You're constantly on my mind and I don't want to mess shit up, I know you hate me so much, I know you just want me fucking gone, I can't-"
He didn't finish when I pulled him by the shirt collar, and smashing my lips against his.
It didn't take long before he moved his mouth against mine, slipping his tongue in quickly as I grabbed onto his forearms.
"Please forgive me," he whispered, "I can't stand here and know you hate me, you and that perfect mouth of yours."
He didn't let me respond when he attached his lips to mine again, pulling me closer by the waist.
I pulled away for a moment, and quickly said my next words.
"I forgive you, I fucking forgive you." I smashed my lips against his again, moaning into his mouth as he squeezed my waist.
Another rumble of thunder made both of us pull away out of breath, and he let out a breathy laugh as he looked up.
He grabbed my hand as we ran home, opening the door quickly and pushing me against the wall.
"I'm sorry," he said over and over again as he kissed my neck, up my chin and along my jaw.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he repeated, and I threw my hand back against the wall, the feeling of his lips over my body sending me into bliss.
"Let me make it up to you," he said, "let me show you how sorry I am."
I nodded my head quickly, biting my lip to surpass another moan.
"I need words love," he muffled.
"Yes," I breathed out, "show me."
