《Forced Enemies》Chapter Twenty Six

It was tomorrow.

Our wedding day was approaching quickly and I didn't know what to do.

Kye hasn't talked to me since, and I couldn't help but still think about our kiss.

This time it felt real, like he meant it.

His mother's words echoed in my mind, and I groaned into the pillow.

It was the night before, and I couldn't fall asleep, I couldn't think

I took a sip of my water, and sat there, uneasiness setting in quickly.

I took off the covers and walked to the door, not bothering to cover up my exposed body.

The small night gown hugged my body, a comfortable slip for me to fall asleep in.

I checked the time before I opened the door

"Okay," I sighed, opening the door and stepping out into the quiet hallway.

My bare foot steps lightly sounded against the floor, the cool nights air making me shiver and rub my arms together.

I don't know why I was out here, I just needed to escape, escape those four walls of the guest bedroom.

I walked down the steps and through another hallway, reaching the kitchen and opening the fridge door.

I searched the shelves, looking for anything strong that would calm my nerves.

I found a bottle of vodka in the back, and the memories of the night Kye and I got drunk flooded my mind.

I shook it off and grabbed the bottle, not caring about a glass.

I opened the patio door, the porch being lit up by the outside fairy lights that hung from the house wall and onto a post that sat at the end of the deck.

I turned to sit in the patio chairs, but I jumped when someone was already sitting in a spot, Kye's eyes directly on mine as he took a swig of a beer.

"Oh-" I said shortly, "sorry."

He didn't say anything as he motioned for me to sit down, his eyes trailing to my chest and then to my lower body.

I quietly sat down, taking a large sip from the bottle.

All I could hear was the sound of crickets and the light breeze that made me shiver.

"Are you cold?" He asked suddenly, his eyes still on me as I looked at him.

I scoffed in disbelief. "Those are the first words you say to me?"

He clenched his jaw, gulping down a large amount of beer.

"You're an asshole, you yell at me and then you kiss me?" I said raising my voice, his eyes now focused on the moving leaves of the tree.

"You leave me for days without speaking to me, just completely left me clueless." I shouted.

I pressed my tongue to the side of my cheek, trying to stop the tear that was threatening to leave.

"And even-" my voice shook, "even when you knew how scared I was for this wedding, you just left."

My voice was barely a whisper now, my hands clenching the bottle as I stared at the floor.

When I looked up, he was staring at me, the beer bottle now on the table.

He sighed and ran his hands through his hair, clenching his jaw tightly as he looked back at me.

"You confuse me, so much I don't know what to fucking do," he said.

I shook my head at his words, preparing to stand up and leave, but when he spoke again, I stayed still.

"You're running through my mind, I just-." He groaned.

"You frustrate me so much, you don't listen, you're too fucking stubborn." He continued.

"What are you getting at," I hissed out.

"I don't know what's happening, I don't know what to do." He leaned forward in his chair.

"I can't tell if I want to yell and hurt you, or kiss you so fucking hard."

I sucked in a short breath, his words making my brain falter.

"I don't understand," I whispered, watching as he stood up, walking towards the porch railing.

"What don't you understand?" He spat out.

I didn't answer as I stood up, walking towards him and keeping a good distance away from us.

"You can't confuse me like this, you're killing me!" I shouted.

He turned around, clenching his fists at his sides.

"Then leave! If you hate me so much then leave!" He shouted back, and I didn't stop the pooling tears from my eyes, the first time in a while that I let them fall.

"Is that what you want?" I yelled, "Fine!"

I turned around, walking towards the door quickly and wiping my tear stained cheeks.

I didn't make it far when a hand clasped itself around my wrist, pulling me backwards and spinning me around.

His lips smashed against mine, making me moan into his mouth.

He wrapped his arms around my back, pulling my torso close against his body.

My hands moved to his hair, threading my fingers through it as he kissed me harder, our teeth's grazing together fiercely.

When he bit down on my lip, trying to get access to my mouth, I denied him, hoping to stop him from taking control.

But when he ran his fingers through my hair, tugging at the strands harshly, —enough to send pleasurable pain throughout my body— I parted my lips and moaned, and he quickly sank his tongue inside my mouth.

His tongue roamed everywhere, sending shivers down my body as he gripped my waist harder .

He backed me up to the couch, sitting down and pulling me on top of him.

He let out a mumble of curses when I straddled his lap, bringing our chests together tightly.

"I can't get enough of you," he grumbled.

I moaned into his lips. His hands roamed under my short night dress, squeezing my ass harshly.

"Fuck-" I breathed out, letting my head fall to the crook of his neck as he moved my hips against his, and I closed my eyes when he started to kiss my neck, sucking harshly on the skin.

I started to move against him as well, enough to make him moan softly against my neck.

I put one hand on his chest, and the other on the back of his head as he continued to suck and lick my neck, sometimes grazing his teeth against my sore skin.

I shivered when his tongue trailed up the side of my face, and his hot breath was in my ear.

I dug my nails into his skin, the pleasure of me grinding against him making me burn with need.

He groaned out, and I quickly took my hand away, but he grabbed my hand again, coming close to my ear and whispering.

"Do it again, don't stop," he moaned out quietly, grabbing my hips tighter and picking up the pace.

"Kye!" I moaned out, smashing my lips against his once more.

He kissed back, taking my bottom lip in his teeth as he slightly pulled away.

When I felt the pattering of rain against my shoulder, I pulled away, both of our breaths heavy as we looked up to the sky.

A sudden reality check hit me, and I got off his lap and he cleared his throat.

"Um-" I said shakily, the rain coming down harder and soaking my hair.

"I'll see you tomorrow," he breathed out, brushing past me and opening the door.

"And if you ever wear that again, I may not be able to resist myself." He muttered, shutting the door behind him.

I let out a shaky breath, opening the door again and walking back to the guest room.

I checked the time, my body freezing as I stared at the clock.
