《Mr. Ceo & I》Chapter 25

I looked at Asher outside of the window from the limo. I watched the men put the last few boxes in the U-HAUL truck.
Asher gave a few more instructions to the men then he headed towards the limo.
He opened up the door taking a seat on the other side. He told the man that was up front driving where we were going then we headed off.
“What about my car?” I asked
“I’ll get it later tonight.” He said while shrugging.
I nodded my head, while looking down at Miya watching her sleep. I can't believe that she was still knocked out after all this commotion.
I looked up at Asher and saw him tapping away on his phone, and looking through papers.
He was always working, I never seen him actually have a time to relax or even go anywhere outside of work.
Well only that one time when he was with Stacey. But even then, he looked annoyed and he didn't even get Ice cream that time.
I guess I never really saw him outside of his work? I kept on staring at him. But I think he knew because he snapped his head towards me, and caught my eyes with his.
I looked down quickly. However, I kept on seeing him stare at me in the corner of my eye.
I was going to ignore it but I wondered if he was looking at me because I had something on my face.
So, I clapped my hands around my face, and met his gaze with my own eyes and asked.
"What?"
"It feels uncomfortable, doesn't it?"
"What does?" I asked confused.
"Getting stared at." He said
I nodded in response looking down.
"So, don't do it to me" He said firmly.
"Sorry" I mumbled under my breath. My face started heating up in embarrassment. Good thing I was dark.
I thought he was angry, so I looked up at his face but surprisingly he had a smirk on his lips and his eyes held amusement.
I rolled my eyes, and looked straight forward towards the window. A few minutes later I think we arrived at his place.

Once the limo stopped the same guy that greeted us last time opened the door for us.
As usual Asher didn't say thank you while stepping out. I however smiled at him and gave him a polite Thank-you.
"You’re Welcome, Miss Wake." He said returning the smile. He closed the door, and he stepped into the limo once again and drove off slowly.
I turned around and saw the biggest and beautiful house I've ever seen in my whole entire life.
First off there was a big driveway made of stone that circled all the way around the house. There was luscious green grass, and roses that covered the front area. You can tell that he had someone take care of the yard frequently.
The house was white and there were about 12 windows on each side. Most likely windows of different rooms that were in different areas of the house. It was so massive, and wide.
It was so tall that you had to stretch your neck all the way to see the top. It looked like the house traveled on forever, there were also two black double doors that were in the front.
To top it off there was a gorgeous water fountain that had a sculpted woman hugging her self-looking at the sky. There was water coming from each side of her, filling the fountain. It kind of looked like a sculpture that you would see in Rome.
It was weird because the design of the house alone seemed like it had a woman touch to it.
"Are you just going to stand there or come in?" Asher asked.
It looked like he was waiting there for a long time getting impatient. He had keys in his hands walking up towards the front door.
I followed him, and waited for him to open the door. Once I walked in my jaw probably physically hit the floor.
It was more beautiful inside. In the living room there were creamed walls, with about three couches to match, with brown pillows and blankets completing them.
There was also a big window that was closed with curtains. I walked further into the house, and ran across the Kitchen. It was all black. With a sink, and oven that was coated with shine. The counters were also marbled which gave it a high class feel.

I looked in another section of the house that was located pass the kitchen. There was another living room. However, this room looked a little smaller.
There was only one couch and a love seat. There were red pillows, and matching carpet on the floor. There was a huge fireplace in the middle burning already making the room cozy and warm.
I walked back into the first living room near the door. At this point the men were basically done bringing all the boxes in.
I looked at the pile and I really didn't have much, especially with half of my boxes that were going into storage.
Asher was busy talking to the men still. So, I decided to just wander my eyes over the place again.
"Can you stop doing that, it's annoying." Asher spoke up irritated.
He was probably talking about my mouth hanging open, and me looking shook over his house.
I chose to ignore the rude comment, but I did respond.
"Your house is so beautiful, and so big!" I exclaimed still looking at the designs, and furniture.
He shut the front door, catching my attention.
"I know." He said with a bored tone.
Well I guess no 'thank you' I thought to myself.
"Let me show you to your room"
I nodded and followed him up a flight of stairs that curled around the whole house.
It was at least 200 steps. By the time we got up there I was breathing a little too heavily, and on top of that Miya was still in my hands.
We walked through a big hallway that was manifested by doors and rooms. We finally stumbled upon the last one that was at the end.
He opened the door and we walked in. It was huge, and it had to at least be 2x bigger than my apartment all together.
It had a red comforter with black and white pillows. There was a black lamp that had white vines on it.
There was also a rug that was red, black, and white lines that obviously followed a pattern. There was also a walk-in closet that could be a single room itself.
The room was finally finished off with an extravagant bathroom that was attached to my room with 2 sinks, a shower, separate bath tub, and a huge gigantic glass mirror.
"There is also a room next to yours for Miya" Asher spoke up.
I declined the offer right away. I didn't want to take too much of his house.
"No, it's fine Miya can share a room with me. I don't want to take too much space."
"No, I already had that room picked out for her." He said.
"I-"
"I already said No." He said getting frustrated with me, while cutting me off.
I gave up and nodded, he was about to leave out the door, until I called his name.
"Hold on Asher"
"What?" He said uninterested
"Um... I just wanted to say thanks... for everything." I said looking up at him.
"You can unpack the boxes tomorrow, I know that she needs to go to bed, and get sleep." He said moving his eyes to a sleeping Miya.
"Did you hear what I said?" I asked getting annoyed that he was ignoring me.
"Yeah" he shrugged
"Well are-" I was about to respond but he cut me off again.
I realized that he does that a lot, I don't even think he notices it. However, I did and it was annoying and rude.
"There's no need to respond, and there's no reason to say thank you. You're only staying for a little so it's not a big deal." He frowned when he said that statement and walked out of the door closing it.
Alrighty then.

I Want You to Remember Me
A simple romantic tale of a... girl meeting a... boy. Trust and love both take time to grow, but growing together is also a lot of fun. A handful of disclaimers and claims: First, this is fan fiction, set in the “Amaranthine Saga” universe written by Forthright. The story and characters, on the other hand, are wholly my own (fault). I highly encourage you to read the stories from the “Amaranthine Saga” before reading this; the latter half of this story will make a whole lot more sense if you do. Second, this is a relatively short and stand-alone story. The completed story should clock in around 10,000 words, so please do not expect a novel, let alone a series. Third, while this is a romantic story, I’ve never been a fan of the usual romance “misunderstanding” tropes. Think of this as more of a romantic slice-of-life story than an action or traditional romance story. Finally, thank you for reading. :)
