《Mr. Ceo & I》Chapter 11

I couldn't believe it... He actually thought that I was flirting with Mr. Ray and then on top of that, He approaches me in such a rude and arrogant way about it.
Then he sends low blows towards me by referring that I acted trashy.
Wow, and he talks about me being the one unprofessional?
I was actually uncomfortable and irritated with Mr. Ray the whole time. However, I could handle myself and I didn't need Mr. Beacon to step in for the rescue.
At this rate, I was really angry. He was acting ridiculous.
"How many times do I have to say it? I wasn't flirting with him. I didn't make a big fuss about it because it's not that big of a deal to me like 'some' people!"
I finally ended the heated argument by storming out of the limo when it came to a stop.
Before I continued to walk, I turned around and gave my last comment to Mr. Beacon.
He had his mouth shut, and his lips in a straight line. He was angry too, but not like I was.
"Oh, and by the way I wanted to say Thank you for interjecting back there with Mr. Ray and myself. However, your poor attitude, and approaching the subject in such an ugly way killed the appreciation itself. With that said I'm going to lunch."
I turned around and walked on the sidewalk with my dignity. Lunch and food in general was the only thing that I can think of that wasnt making me angry right now. I needed to find a little cafe or food shop to eat at.
I really didn't feel like going into the building with him right now. I didn't want to be near him at all.
I mean it was my lunch break anyway. So, it wasn't like I just stormed off and left work.
I just needed to separate myself from him. I mean one thing that I learned from working here and being Mr. Beacons personal assistant, is that I cannot be around him for a long time.

As I was walking I spotted a food place called the Green Nine. I never tried it before and it looked like a pretty cool place to eat.
Before I stepped in I looked at my phone to see what time it was. It was 2:00, the time was a little past my lunch break but I was hungry.
I started to wonder what Miya and Jane were doing. I really missed my Miya. So, I decided to text Jane to bring Miya to meet me for lunch.
I really needed to see my baby girl. She always made me feel better whenever I was in a crappy mood.
I closed my phone and put in my purse walking into the Food shop. Once I walked in I noticed that it was clean.
And that everything was green... the tables, chairs, food baskets, cups, and uniforms you name it. Now I know why it was called The Green Nine.'
I walked up to the counter and looked at the menu that was broadcasted on the backboard. I didn't feel like eating anything greasy. So, I settled for a grilled chicken salad with Cesar dressing.
I paid at the register, and took my food sitting at a table. As soon as I sat down I begin eating.
About halfway through my food. I heard a little voice yelling Mommy. I looked on the side towards the door.
I saw Miya coming in with a bright smile on her face and her curls bouncing up and down.
I scooped her up in a hug giving her bunches of kisses on her face. She started giggling and tried to wiggle out of my arms.
I sat her down and gave Jane a smile telling her to sit down.
I placed Miya on my lap holding her tightly so she wouldn't fall. I looked down at her giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"Are you hungry sweetheart?" I asked Miya.
She nodded her head in response.

I looked over at Jane asking what she wanted.
"Oh, no Natalia it's okay I can pay for myself I-"
"Oh, don't be ridiculous Jane it's my pleasure. Please pick whatever you want from the menu." I said offering her a smile, and giving her my debit card.
"Are you sure?" She asked while taking the card out of my hand hesitantly.
"Yeah, of course youre family Jane. Take Miya with you, and order whatever you want and she wants."
"Thanks, Natalia."
"Yeah no problem."
Jane stood up with Miya going to the counter ordering their food. Shortly after they joined me eating.
"So, has Miya been good?" I asked.
"Yeah, I havent had any problems at all today." Jane said while nodding.
"Good"
"So, how's work today so far?" She asked.
"It hasn't been the best actually." I said grumbling while taking another bite out of my food.
"Really how so?"
I begin to dish out the whole thing about earlier with Mr. Ray and Mr. Beacon. After I was finished Jane begin to speak.
"Wow, I'm sorry Natalia. He did kind of blow it out of proportion. He shouldn't have been rude to you"
I nodded my head agreeing at what she was saying.
"That's what I'm saying. I mean it was uncalled for, and then he had the nerve to call me trashy."
Her eyes widened at this information.
"What a jerk! It must be a handful to work with him."
"Ha. your telling me. It's not the most exciting thing to do. But I need to pay the bills and keep my apartment running somehow you know?"
"Yeah, I understand what you mean, but what about a situation like this happens again?" She asked with a concerned face.
I mean it was good question. But I really didnt have a good answer, So I responded with the only thing that I could form in my mind.
I honestly dont know. Hopefully it doesnt happen again, but if it does I guess Ill just have to see what I will do in that situation at that point of time. I said shrugging my shoulders.
She nodded her head in understanding.
Once our food was done , we picked up the trash on the table and emptied it into the trashcan.
We headed to the door, walking outside. After a couple of strides, I saw her car parked down the street.
I bent down to Miya ready to say bye.
"Thanks Baby girl for seeing me for lunch." I said to her.
"Welcome Mama."
She looked down at the ground looking sad. She never liked it when I had to leave. And quite, frankly, neither did I.
"Don't worry baby, I'll be home before you know it?"
"Promwse?" She looked up at me with her big brown eyes. She held her pinky out to me waiting for me to grab it.
I grabbed it and we both kissed our hands at the same time.
"Promise."
She reeled back with a smile. Knowing that I will come home because of the little ritual we did.
I kissed her on her forehead leaving my red lipstick mark.
" I love you, and be good for Jane okay?
"Otay."
She said with pronouncing the words a little funny. It made it even cuter.
"Thanks again jane, I should get off work later tonight. Don't hesitate to call me if you need anything okay?"
"Yeah, sure thing Natalia." She smiled.
I gave her a hug then waved them a goodbye. I waited until I saw them get into the car safely and drive off. Even though it was broad day light.
Sue me... I was a protective mother. After they drove off. I turned around heading to the building where Mr. Beacon was located.
