《My Possessive Husband (ManxMan)》Chapter 5

Silence was thick in the air, making my nerves present. The state I was in right now is truly pitiful. I never felt so uncomfortable in my entire life, driving towards Mr. Guerriero's probably luxurious home was making me on the edge. This whole arrangement is going way too fast, I can't believe I'm really sharing a home with him. It seems way too surreal.

My anger still lingered towards Mr. Guerriero for what he did yesterday to that crying woman. Does he usual break hearts like that, and don't feel any guilt or remorse? How can somebody be so self-centered? I still don't understand why he wants to marry me, me who has so many faults.

I glance at him, trying to read him, but he's a type of person that you won't ever know what's on his mind. I guess I was glancing at him longer than I thought, because he looks straight at me, with a knowing expression. I frown and quickly turned my head to look out the window. We have already been in this car for 20 minutes, and I felt like I was going to explode.

It was so hard for my mom when I told her that I was leaving home, and I was living with Mr. Guerriero. Eventually she understood, and I promised her that I would come over as much as I can. I couldn't even look at my father, I just couldn't. I don't have many belongings, so it was easy to pack my things, just two suitcases.

We were in an expensive looking neighborhood. All I saw was mansions, I never saw such magnificent buildings before. Now, positive that Mr. Guerriero home was a mansion, I was getting uneasy. I can't never call Mr. Guerriero's mansion my home, I just can't see myself doing that.

Finally reaching his home, which was fairly secluded. I had to force myself to not seem at all impressed or amazed. It was proven difficult for me to do that, and it was so obvious to Mr. Guerriero, that he smirked smugly. The architecture of his modern mansion was perfect in every way. His home really looked like a place, a person like Mr. Guerriero would settle in. It was getting dark, so, the lights illuminate the property, displaying every lovely aspect, but it's not a type a place I would choose to live in.

Mr. Briggs opens the door for Mr. Guerriero when he parked the car in front of the house. I hurry up and open the door before Mr. Guerriero or Mr. Briggs try to open it for me. I get out the car, and notice the trunk is already ajar, so I get ready to get my luggage out, but Mr. Briggs beat me to it.

"Um...Mr. Briggs, p-please it's not n-necessary for y-you to do that. I-I can carry my own luggage, I r-really don't want t-to trouble you." I say with my irritating nervous stuttering, hoping he understands.

He smiles at me, and says "It's my job, and if Mr. Guerriero finds his fiancé carrying his own luggage he'll fire me in a heartbeat. And please, call me Briggs, no need for the Mister. I'm really not that older than you." He excuses himself and walks into the mansion with my luggage.

I don't say anything anymore, surprised that I even said anything to him in the first place. Mr...Oh...I mean Briggs macho and muscular figure really intimidates me to no end. But he's like a friendly bear, and is very nice once you get to know him, plus he's very funny.

I didn't really know if I should walk in, I feel really out of place right now. I look at Mr. Guerriero, and see that he put his expensive phone away and walks towards me. He looks at me, then grabs my hand without my consent, we walk inside the luxurious home together.

"Welcome home, Renmen." He says with a hint of excitement in his tone.

"This isn't my home." I mumble softly, certain that he won't be able to hear my statement. But unfortunately it seems like he was able to hear what I said. He ignored me, pretending that it didn't faze him, but I can tell that it hurt him a little bit. I felt guilty, I was about to apologize, but it was too late.

"So let me show you around our home, follow me Renmen." He once again grabbed my hand, and give me a little tour. I wasn't able to hide my appreciation of the interior designs and layouts. My reaction made Mr. Guerriero proud. Finally stopping our little tour at the master bedroom.

"Okay, so this is the master bedroom, of course, where we will be sleeping together, I look forward to that." He announces to me out of the blue, shocking me out my distraction.

"Wait...did y-you say that we'll be s-sharing a-an r-room t-together. I n-never a-agreed to that, p-plus t-there is p-plenty of r-rooms in this h-house. I have no p-problem s-sleeping in one of t-those r-rooms." I respond to him, he probably isn't going to agree to what I say, he never listens to me anyways.

He sighs in irritation. Looking like he's through with me for today. "Are we engaged Renmen?" He asked me a rhetorical question. I was completely embarrassed.

"Umm...y-yes we are e-engaged." I answer him in full dread. Knowing he's going to shut down my idea of me not sharing a room with him. I'm already sharing a home with him, doesn't he think that sharing a room, is just, a little bit too much.

"Well, do engaged couples sleep in separate rooms?" He asks me another question that he already knows the answer too.

"N-no t-they d-don't" I say in distress and now really tired of his questions. Knowing I won't be able to change his mind, when he is so firm with his own decision.

"Well, I'm glad you understand that. So we will share a room together, since we are engaged. And I think its best, because we'll be able get to know each other better, get closer to each other."

"Oh...Okay." I was going to say something else, but I heard a ring, signaling that somebody was at the door. I hurry and got out the room, curious who it was. I was going to answer it, but halted. I need to stop being so impolite, this isn't my home, I can't just open the door however I please.

Helen a nice elderly woman, who is the housekeeper and cook, quits her duty, she was focusing on and walks toward the intercom near the door. She pressed the button and a pictured portrayed on the screen of the device, four men in suits standing there. Mr. Guerriero walks down the staircase, while Helen leaves, after giving her humble courtesy to Mr. Guerriero. He personally open the huge mansion door for the men.

The massive and buff men walk in, but make sure to respectfully greet Mr. Guerriero. Well, that's my cue to leave, I can't stand being with men with such strong and mighty presence. Unluckily I wasn't able to leave and try to put away my things in the master bedroom. Hearing Mr. Guerriero's deep voice, behind me.

"Aren't you going to greet my guest Renmen? Why don't you introduce yourself?" He knows I'm shy a person, but if I just ignore them, it'll seem quite rude. I sigh a shaky breath, turn around to face the 4 dangerously good-looking men in suits. I give a small smile, and politely, greet them as best as I can.

"U-um...H-hello. I'm R-Renmen Bijou, c-currently sharing t-this h-home with M-Mr. G-Guerriero."

"Tell them why we are sharing a home together, Renmen." He adds, making me want to seriously slap him.

I look down embarrassingly, and say softly "B-because...I-I'm his f-fiancé." I look shyly to observe their reactions, and their expressions were surprised and amused. One of the gentlemen with graying hair and looks like he was in his 40's. He was handsome in a dangerous and alluring way. He directed his response to his colleagues.

"Boss is settling down with someone, hell must have frozen over. Damn, I'm I surprised. Well, seeing this little cutie, I could see why boss has been in such a good mood lately. Well, my name is Brandon, the rest of these shits sitting next to me aren't very important."

"Shut the hell up Brandon. My name is River, those two over there are Christopher and Andy. It's very nice to meet Boss's fiancé, we'll definitely see more of you in the future. We are just your husband's assistants, so he's basically our boss." I nod, not knowing what to say to them.

"Well then Renmen, you can go ahead and put away your things. I need to talk privately with my men. I'll join you at dinner later. Gentlemen to my office now" I walk off and get ready to do the necessary things to settle in at this place.

After we ate together the mouth-watering and delicious food Helen prepared. She left shortly after, leaving Mr. Guerriero and me alone, it was getting really awkward for me. I had to take my shower, and was going to use the shower that wasn't in the master bedroom. Even so, Mr. Guerriero insisted that we should take a shower together.

"This is bound to happen sooner or later, why don't we just get it over with and done. Come on Renmen, you'll enjoy every bit of it." He tells me with a menacing glint in his eyes, sitting on the bed, waiting for me to respond. I stand in front of the door, my towel on my shoulder.

"P-please Mr. G-Guerriero I'm not r-ready for t-that. P-please t-try to u-understand that." I say looking down at my feet, pleading in my mind, that he'll be reasonable. I know I'll eventually must do intimate things with him, but I can't today. I'm just so tired, and I have to go to sleep early, because the location of my university and daycare is about 30 minutes away from the mansion. I have to wake up early so I won't be late for both the places.

"Alright, that's fine. But do understand that I won't be able to restrain myself for too long. And use the bathroom in this room." He says and demands, hearing the frustration in his tone of voice. I fidget and nod.

"T-thank y-you." I reply to him and hurry to take my shower, before he changes his mind.

Glad that my nightly hygiene routine is done, hesitant to actually sleep on top of the bed. I shrug, too tired to care anymore. So I pick the left side of the huge and comfy looking bed. Getting under the covers, I sigh in content, knowing the bed is comfortable and soft as it looks. I make sure I rest at the very edge of the spacious bed, don't want to be anywhere close to him. Mr. Guerriero seems to notice this, and comments.

"Now, Renmen if you do that, it makes it seem like you're scared of me. I don't bite unless you want me to." I just ignore him and quickly fall into a deep sleep. Already feeling homesick.

I quickly walked down the stairs, so I can make a light breakfast before I leave. Surprisingly already knowing the location of the kitchen, I saw Mr. Guerriero already up, with a cup of coffee and reading the weekly newspaper. I smell Helen's excellent cooking, making me miss my mother's incomparable cooking.

"G-good morning Helen and M-Mr. G-Guerriero." I shyly say, I'm getting really tired of my stuttering. I always nervously stutter around people I don't know very well, and it's a bad habit I need to control.

"Morning sweetie, did you sleep well?" said Helen, smiling warmly at me. I smile back and answer her question with a yes. Also complimenting her cooking once again, she offers me some breakfast. Just a simple breakfast, and I sit down at the marble table and take quick bites.

I drank my orange juice, then looked at my watch, my father gave to me. I should be heading out, I gathered my plate and was heading towards the sink to clean them, but Helen wouldn't let me, no matter how many times I said I'll wash them myself. I was about to leave, until I heard Mr. Guerriero talking to me. I halted at my steps, turn around wondering what he wanted.

"Before you leave I need to give you a couple of things...." He handed me an iPhone 6. I was going to hand it back to him, and decline the gift, but the expression he gives me, made me think twice and accept the gift with a thank you.

"Just letting you know, that the outdated phone that you currently have right now is really pathetic. I put in all the data you had on your old phone, and make sure to call Briggs to pick you up whenever."

Then I saw him bring a dark velvet ring box out, and he took my right hand, placing it on top of his hand, he smiled at me. I didn't want to take it, but he already placed it in my hand, staring at me, waiting for me to open the box.

When I did open it, Helen was suddenly next to me and gasped in astonishment. It was a ring that probably costed over 500,000 dollars. Mr. Guerriero took the box from my hands, so he was able to take the costly ring out, and place it on my ring finger.

I wasn't at all teary eyed at this specific moment, like most people would be. I mean I don't have any feelings for this man, I barely know him, and so I all I said was a thank you. Helen and Mr. Guerriero seemed to be waiting for me to do something, but I just had a lost expression on my heated face. Until Mr. Guerriero suddenly says,

"Aren't you going to give your husband a kiss?" I fidgeted nervously, before quickly giving him a peck on his pale cheek. Then hurrying out the door to meet Briggs, not before I hear Helen's loud squeal.
