~Renmen POV~

I can't discern if I was too hasty with the decision by agreeing to marry him, I don't know if I can trust him. Everything is just going way too fast, it's not in my control. I don't think I'm suitable to marry such a powerful man, it's all very suspicious to me, his actions. I think I made a mistake of taking the marriage proposal so soon. Thinking about yesterday, really made me depressed.

My recollection of yesterday night was so constant, that I didn't notice my concerned co-worker staring at me, and waiting for me to answer the question she just spoke of. I sigh and continue staying distracted in my own thoughts.

"Hello! Earth to Renmen.... Oh come on, you know I hate being ignored, what is going inside that head of yours Renmen?" Finally I notice her, quite embarrassed and sorry.

"Oh, I'm sorry Amy, what were you saying?" I say quietly.

"Sheesh! What is going on with you Renmen? I don't mean to pry, but I'm getting really worried about you. You haven't been in your zone lately, just really distracted. Also, when you are daydreaming, you have a deep frown on your face." I sigh and scratch my head. The toddlers are sleeping in their little cots, until their parents come to pick them up.

"I apologize, I just have a lot things going in my life right now. I guess I have been distracted a lot lately, sorry about that."

"Oh no! It's okay, really. I'm just worried and usually you are more focused and always have a serene expression on your face. You know I'm here for you right Renmen, if you need to talk to someone or need advice, I can be of service, you know that right?"

"Yeah, thank you. Um..."

I don't know if I should tell her about Mr. Guerriero. I usually tell her about anything really, she's a good listener and she does care for me. She's my good friend I should tell her, I won't regret it or anything. I already told my parents, and my father felt shame, while mom surprisingly, was calm about it, and understood.

"Well, where should I start?"

When finishing all I had to say and what had happened previously in my life. I wait for her reaction, and her facial expression was an interesting one. It was hard not to laugh.

"Wow, I'm completely baffled. All this is happening to you? You really don't deserve this. Oh my poor Renmen, that man is dangerous. I can't believe he really wants to marry you, well, I mean you are amazing, but he's a player. Fate is a shitty thing. If he ever hurts you let me know, I'll slap some sense into him." I laugh, hoping to wash my nerves away.

I was able to leave the daycare early today, since the children's parents came to pick them up early. Right now its 5 pm, I was supposed to meet Mr. Guerriero at his office, because he wanted to take me somewhere, he didn't tell me where, he wanted to surprise me.

When walking into the magnificent building I greet Sophia, and walk towards his office. Already remembering the location of his office, quickly heading towards his office. In a couple of minutes, I was getting closer to his door, until I saw a stunning woman. A golden hair goddess, probably a model with a classy fashion attire. The male workers in suits were glancing at her in lust, and the women in envy.

I halted at my steps, and just stared in admiration. I followed her movements with my eyes, she walked gracefully inside Mr. Guerriero's office leaving the door wide open. Everybody else focused back to their task, and once again appeared the busy noises.

I was curious who she was, I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I was so darn curious. My mother taught me better than that, I'll just wait until he's done. Maybe I'll just let him know I'm here. I walked closer to Mr. Guerriero's office door. The busy noise dimmed down, and I was able to hear their private conversation. I peeked a little bit inside.

"I missed you so much Nicky! Why haven't you contacted me?" Her voice was sweet and quite high-pitched.

"What are you doing here Emilia? How many times do I have to tell you, we are over? Been for a while now. I appreciate it if you leave, my fiancé is coming soon and I don't want you disturbing us." The voice that gives me goosebumps smoothly says, and he isn't even looking at her, just putting away his papers.

"What!? You are engaged? When? How? Who? How can you do this to me Nicky, you know I how much I love you right? I was waiting for the day for you to finally propose to me, and you don't, instead you just throw me away. Well, guess what? I'm not giving up on you, okay? I love you too much." She replied determined. Wow, she really loves him and I'm in her way. She's wonderful, I'm guessing she was his previous lover, why did he throw her away? Why didn't he marry her?

He sighs in aggravation, finally looks at her, and glares at her with cold eyes, eyes so cold, they can freeze hell. She flinches, obviously intimidated, but still stands her ground.

"For the last time, I don't want to see you again. Enough of your proclaiming your love for me! Your voice seriously gives me a headache. You were just a meaningless fuck, and that's it. It was fun for a while, but I warned you not to get attached to me. We never had connection, and I'm pretty sure you'll find another man, you are very good at that. Now get out my office." I can tell he is slowly losing his patience, especially through his voice.

I hear crying, then sobbing. Oh no, she's crying, he really impacted her that much. I do feel sorry for her and the things he said to her was so brutal, I'm pretty sure she loves him. I couldn't stand it anymore, I just walked in furious at the situation. I glare at the cold man sitting in his chair, not caring, he gave this lovely woman such pain.

"You should be ashamed of yourself. You are very cruel man! How could you make a woman cry? Don't you have a heart?" He looked at me with his usual blank face, smirking and ignoring what I just said to him.

"I guess you were listening to our conversation the whole time, I never took you has an eavesdropper Renmen. I'm glad you made it, well, let's go, you'll love where I'm taking you today." He says to me, completely ignoring the crying women in front of his desk.

"I'm not going anywhere with you! Don't you feel sorry at all for hurting her and making her cry?" I declare getting more and more irritated at him.

"Who?" he replies. I sigh in frustration, now ignoring him. I turn to the woman, her crying seems to calm down a little bit. I nervously, but kindly talk to her.

"Um....e-excuse m-me, are you a-alright? P-please don't cry, y-you are too p-pretty to c-cry."

She stops crying, wiping her tears away. Trying to make herself more composed, and she looks at me and smiles.

"I must look ridiculous crying like this, I just love him so much, you know?" she tells me.

"You can definitely, do better than him. He's really not worth it, okay. A man who hurts who like this, doesn't deserve you." I say sternly to her, hoping that it comforts her. She looks at Mr. Guerriero, and then at me.

"You are so right. I don't need him, I should move on and not let him ruin my life any longer. By the way, do you mind if I ask you, who you are?"

"Oh I'm..." I wasn't able to answer her completely, since I was disturbed.

"He's my fiance." He declares to her, then walking towards me to wrap his arms around my waist. I was going to push him away, but I was distracted by her gasp and her storming out the door. I hope she's okay, what he did to her was awful. Plus, I'm unfortunately going to share a home with him tomorrow. How I'm I going to deal with this kind of atrocious behavior coming from him? I wish there was any other way, but to be with this man.
