《Fantasy》EPILOGUE

"What's your biggest fantasy?"

"Killian shut up!" I grit my teeth and his eyes widen but I go back to sorting out the baby pink and sage green pillows.

"Elodie, baby. Please stop stressing." Killian pleads for about the tenth time today but I brush him off.

I begin to fix the pink pillows on the bed.

"W-Why do these pillows look weird?!" I exclaim, running my hands through my hair. "It has to be perfect!" I place my hands on my hips and turn to face one of my husbands.

"They are perfect, baby." He whispers gently, slowly moving forward to stroke my face. "Little Ivy is going to love it."

My eyes begin to water.

"I just need it to be perfect. She has to know that this is her home and that she's going to be loved." I whisper, quickly wiping the tears away.

"Why is she crying?" Enzo begins to panic as he walks into the bedroom. He grabs hold of my face and looks my body up and down. "Did he steal your chocolate again, because I can go and get you another one right now?" I lightly giggle shaking my head.

Last week I bought myself a chocolate bar and I was very excited to eat it, only to find out that Killian had taken it — ate the whole damn thing!

"N-No, it's not that. It's the pillows!" I point over to them and Enzo furrows his eyebrows, looking just as confused as Killian. "The pillows, you two! The pillows!"

"Darling, the pillows are absolutely fine." Enzo whispers and I take a deep breath as he begins to rub my back with his warm hands.

"You know, I don't appreciate being accused of stealing the chocolate again. Very low of you." Killian speaks up and Enzo and I look at each other before playfully rolling our eyes.

"Where's the teddy bear I got her?" I go back into panic mode when I don't see the bear that I bought her. However, a sigh of relief escapes my lips when I turn and see it on top of her wardrobe. "Get that down, Killian and put it on the bed." I demand and his eyes widen.

"Okay, miss bossy boots." He retorts and I scowl at him.

"Hurry up, we need to get going!"

We pull up outside my old orphanage and I gulp.

Of course it's a lot better than what it was when I was here because if it weren't there is no way I would let the children stay in this place.

Enzo and Killian give money every month to the orphanage which helps them a lot.

"You ready, my love?" Enzo questions as he opens the car door for me.

I slowly climb out of the car and look up at he tall building. Enzo, Killian and I walk into the orphanage and we are met by happy kids, running around everywhere. I smile at all of them, greeting them one by one.

"Elodie, hi!" Lainey, the woman in charge of the place greets with a warm smile. "Ivy is all set and ready. If you want to follow me to my office."

I follow behind her, my palms beginning to get sweaty.

What if she doesn't like me?

What if she doesn't want to live with us?

What if —

"Baby, stop. Your mind is going at a hundred miles an hour, I can tell." Killian leans down to whisper and I look up and smile.

He's right.

I need to stop overthinking.

We all walk into Lainey's office and my heart skips a beat when I see Ivy sat on a small chair, swinging her legs back and forth. Her beautiful dark skin glimmers under the light and she looks up at the three of us with wide eyes.

She pushes her little glasses further up the bridge of her nose. I coo at her curly hair that frames her chubby little face.

She's adorable.

She reminds me of myself when I was younger.

My eyes begin to water and I slowly walk over and crouch down in front of her.

"Hi, I'm Elodie." I whisper and she takes a second to look over my face before she gives me a bright smile.

"Hello, Miss. My name is Ivy." She whispers back and my heart warms. "A-Are you going to be my new mummy?" She questions with hope glimmering in her light brown eyes.

"Yes. I am." I can't help the tears that begin to fall.

"Why are you crying? You're too pretty to cry." The five year old tilts her head and reaches forward to brush the tears away.

"I'm just happy that you get to come home with us." I smile, reaching forward to lightly pinch her cheeks. She giggles and then her mouth falls open when I feel Enzo and Killian crouch down on either side of me.

"I get two daddy's as well?" She squeals in excitement and I giggle.

"You sure do." I beam.

"Hello, little one. My name is Killian." He greets and her eyes curiously look at the tattoos that trace his arms.

"Hello, Killian." She waves before turning to look at Enzo.

"And I'm Enzo, sweetheart." Enzo reaches forward and gently shakes her hand.

"You have pretty eyes." She compliments and Enzo grins, nodding his head.

"Hey, what about me?!" Killian teases, a small pout on his face.

"You have cool drawings." Ivy beams and he winks.

"Your mummy loves them." He flexes his arms making her laugh and I playfully roll my eyes.

"Are you ready to come home with us, Ivy?" I stand up and hold my hand out for her.

"Yes!" She claps her hands before climbing off of her chair and putting her small hand in mine.

"I've never seen a sky lantern before." I whisper to Enzo as I adjust the bottom of my wedding dress.

It's the end of our wedding night. It was a small ceremony and a small reception, but I loved every second of it.

Killian even cried during the vows!

"What do we do with them?" I tilt my head, looking at it with furrowed eyebrows.

"Well you can write something on it before I light it up." My eyes brighten and Killian passes me a pen.

"Forever." Killian whispers, wrapping his arms around me from behind.

I watch with curious eyes as Enzo lights up the little candle. The lantern lights up and I watch with wide eyes as it begins to float into the night sky.

"It's so pretty."

•••

"It's so pretty." Ivy beams, resting her head on my shoulder as we all stare up at the lanterns.

"I'm glad you like it sweetie." I kiss her cheek and she smiles at me.

"I love you." She beams at the three of us.

"And we love you too, sweetie. Forever and ever!" I place loads of kisses on her cheek, making her laugh.

Enzo stands to our left and Killian to our right. Both have an arm wrapped around me as we stare at the four lanterns floating in the sky.

"This is my only fantasy." I whisper, looking up at the two men. "Finally having a family."
