Killian's mood has dampened and I feel a huge surge of disappointment. Maybe I've upset him because I couldn't read the menu properly.

I stay silent and watch as he pays the bill with a frown on his face. I bite my lip and look down at my lap.

Maybe I should of paid.

"Let's go, El." He grumbles and stands up from his seat.

I quickly stand up and go to grab his hand but he's already storming out of the restaurant. Just before he storms out he glares at a brown-haired woman who smirks at him. I furrow my eyebrows and do my best to keep up with his long strides.

"I'm going to drop you home." He tells me as soon as we get into his car and my heart drops.

"Okay." I whisper and begin to fiddle with my fingers.

I don't want to go back there.

The drive back to my place is quiet and awkward. I want to ask what I've done wrong but I'm worried he will shout at me.

I'm always messing things up or annoying people.

Once he's reached my flat he stops and continues to stare ahead.

"Bye." I whisper but he just nods and continues to face forward.

I purse my lips and climb out of the car. Killian speeds off as soon as I've walked through the broken door. I walk up the ten flight of stairs and as soon as I make it to my front door, I'm surprised to see that the door has been fixed.

I step into my home to see that the place has been tidied. As I close the door I don't miss the new secure lock which has been fixed on the door.

I smile gently, knowing Enzo had done this but then my smile falls.

Killian's annoyed with me so that must mean that Enzo is too. I decide now is the best time to make myself busy and take my mind off the fact that I might not ever see the two men again.

Killian walks through the front door.

Without Elodie.

"What's happened?" I rush out, looking behind him to see if she was just hiding behind his tall frame, but when I don't see her dread fills my body. "Killian, where the fuck is she?"

His face hardens and he looks at me with hard eyes.

"I took her home." I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

"She didn't want to come back here?" I whisper, feeling hurt that she didn't want to come back home to us.

Killian looks away, a look of guilt etching onto his face and I feel anger consume me as I shove him back.

"What the fuck did you do to her?!" I yell but he continues to ignore me. "For fuck sake, Killian! Say something!"

"I sent her home because I saw Katie." He finally blurts out but my blood runs cold at who he mentions.

Katie used to be our submissive but she became attached. And when she realised that we couldn't give her what she wanted she tried to ruin our lives.

Killian's specifically.

"This doesn't explain why Elodie isn't here with us." I throw my arms up in frustration just wanting to see the little Angel. "She's not Katie, nor will she ever be."

"Fuck." He bites his lip in frustration and runs his hair through his already disheveled hair. "I've fucked it, Enzo. I panicked, I wasn't expecting to see that little bitch and I just went on auto-pilot and assumed Elodie was just like her."

"That precious girl is nothing like that psychopath. She's probably overthinking now." I stress, annoyed with Killian's irrational thinking.

"I'm sorry." Killian mutters and I take a deep breath.

He can't help it.

That bitch fucked him up badly at one point.

"I will go and see her. I'll explain." Killian's nods his head at my words before we are interrupted by a soft knock at the front door.

Killian frowns and makes his way over the door, swinging it open.

Elodie stands in the pouring rain, her make up smudged.

"Fuck, baby." Killian pulls her inside and rushes to get a towel.

I slowly walk over to her and she looks up at me, her lips trembling.

"Do you both hate me? I'm sorry if I annoyed Killian earlier b-but I don't want you to hate me for it." I instantly pull her into a hug and she begins to cry softly against my chest.

"We don't hate you, darling. We could never hate you, Killian just saw someone that upset him in the past. He didn't mean to take it out on you, precious girl." She sniffles and looks up at me with wide, watery eyes.

"Someone upset him?" I nod my head at her question and she frowns. "Did she have brown hair and she's quite pretty? I saw a lady smirking at him back at the restaurant."

"Yes, that was her and she's not pretty, darling. Nowhere near." I correct her and her eyes widen like a Cheshire Cat.

"Was she your girlfriend?" She steps out of my arms and tilts her head.

I chuckle.

"Killian and I have never had a girlfriend. She was our submissive for a short period of time, it didn't work out." My girl slowly nods her head and soon Killian walks in with a towel.

He holds the white fluffy towel out towards her but Elodie has other plans and decides to throw her arms around him.

My eyes widen in shock.

Killian doesn't even flinch and he wraps his arms around her gently.

I'm shocked to say the least. I didn't think Killian would already be this open after spending the day with her.

She really must be magical because right now I am seeing a side to Killian that I have never seen before.

I decide to leave the two together and make my way into the kitchen. My phone pings with a notification and just like that my mood is dampened.

I need to see you.
