Killian and I are having a staring competition. Or at least I think we are-he just keeps glaring at me.
"Did I do something wrong?" I tilt my head at him. "I feel like I seem to be upsetting you a lot, Mr Killian." I whisper and his face softens.
"You don't upset me, baby. You confuse me." He tells me and I frown, crossing my legs on the sofa.
"Why do I confuse you?" I question him further and he sighs, running his hands up and down his face.
"You just do. Enzo wants you to stay here and I want you to know that I do too, even if it may seem that I don't." Killian shrugs and I smile gently.
"That's very kind of you both but I can't stay here forever, I will have to leave eventually." I reason with him and he smirks.
"Yeah? Try telling Enzo that." He chuckles lightly. "How's your headache?" He asks, changing the subject.
"It's better." I nod my head, cuddling one of the cushions against my chest. "How old are you and Enzo?" I question, wanting to know more about the two men.
"I'm twenty-seven and Enzo is twenty-nine. What about you, baby?" He raises his eyebrows.
"Twenty-three." I smile and he nods. "How long have you and Enzo been friends?"
"Around fifteen years. I hear you work in a bakery, does that mean I get free cookies?" He questions a smirk on his face and I giggle.
"Only if you're nice." I grin. "What's your job?"
"I own a boxing club. You wanna go and see it?" I eagerly nod my head and he chuckles, standing up from his chair. "Come on then. Get your shoes on."
I rush to get my shoes and coat on and follow Killian towards the driveway outside. My eyes widen as I spot a dark grey Audi R8.
"Wow!" I whisper in amazement, I keep my hands to myself not wanting to tarnish it with my fingerprints.
"You like, baby?" I nod my head and watch as he opens the door for me. I give him a small smile and situate myself into the leather seats of the car.
Killian makes his way over to the drivers side and we begin the drive to his gym. I hum lightly to the music playing while looking out the window.
As soon as we arrive at his gym my eyes widen at the modern building in front of me. The car park is full of expensive cars, making me think that a membership here must be very expensive.

"This place looks cool." I compliment, turning my head to look at Killian who is already looking at me.
He nods. "You need to stay by my side, Elodie. No wondering off by yourself, do you understand me?" I nod my head but he raises his eyebrows.
"Yes, Killian." I beam and he releases a small breath, closing his eyes before getting out of the car.
I open the passenger door and climb out. Killian gives me a displeased look and I raise my eyebrows.
"I was going to open the door for you." He tells me and I smile.
"Next time." He nods and we make our way towards the entrance of the gym. My fingers twitch, wanting to hold his hand but I remember how he doesn't like to be touched so I keep them by my side.
Once we enter, the sound of people hitting pads and loud yells fill my ears. I shrink back a little when I spot two scary looking men sparring each other in a boxing ring.
"Do you do that?" I point to the two men, questioning Killian.
"When I need to blow off some steam." He tells me, looking down at me. He gives me a tiny smile and my heart warms a little. Considering he never smiles that small one made me happy.
A man walks over to Killian and whispers something in his ear. I watch as Killian's face hardens and he runs his hands through his black wavy hair.
"I need to sort something out, baby. You stay right here, don't move and don't speak to anyone." He looks down at me sternly.
"Okay."
"Good girl." He quickly brushes his thumb against my cheek before walking off with the man. I watch until he rounds the corner before turning my attention back to the two men who are throwing punches at one another.
I stare with wide eyes every now and then when one gets punched right in the face.
That must really hurt.
My feet begin to hurt after twenty minutes of standing so I begin to look for somewhere to sit. I spot a chair in the corner and make my way over to it. A satisfied sigh escapes my lips as I sink into the soft chair.
I close my eyes but jump in shock at the sound of harsh, smokers voice.
"That's my fucking seat." My eyes shoot open when I see a fat, old man covered in tattoos standing over me.
"I'm sorry, I'll move." I go to stand up but whimper when he grabs tightly onto my upper arm. "Please let me go, I won't sit on your chair anymore." I plead but he only tightens his hold.

"I don't think you understand, you little bitch. Everyone knows here they don't sit on this seat, so what makes you so special?!" Tears fall down my cheeks as the man shouts in my face.
"I'm really sorry, sir. I didn't know." I sob and he snarls pushing me away. I rub my upper arm, knowing it's going to bruise.
"You're lucky Killian ain't around or he'd fucking deal with you and trust me you wouldn't like that. Now get out of my sight, piece of shit." I scurry away from the violent man.
Killian's going to be so angry with me, I don't want him to hurt me like that man said he would! Another whimper escapes my lips and I find myself stumbling out of the gym and through the car park.
The sound of a car honking at me has me freezing.
"Oh God, sorry, sorry, sorry." I mumble, trying to get away before Killian can hurt me.
"Darling?" Enzo! I spin around to face him and watch as he climbs out of his car and rushes over to me. I instantly wrap my arms around his waist and whimper into his chest. "What's happened?"
"I promise, I-I didn't mean to sit on the man's chair and now I think Killian is going to hurt me." I cry out and Enzo tenses.
"What do you mean Killian is going to hurt you?" He furrows his eyebrows.
"The man said if Killian knew I had sat on his chair he'd deal with me and I wouldn't like it. I mean it's just a chair Enzo!" I throw my arms in the air.
"Baby, what man?" Enzo questions.
"He's old and ugly-covered in tattoos and he sounds like he smokes eighty a day." I sniffle.
"Fucking Hack!" Enzo grabs my hand and pulls me back towards the gym. I begin to protest and pull back against him.
"No!"
"Elodie, you'll be fine. I'm here now." I relax a little, trusting him and follow him back into the gym.
"Elodie!" We turn around to see an angry Killian storming over to us. I go to hide behind Enzo. "I told you to stay where you are and I come back out to see you're nowhere to be seen!"
I see the chair man, who I now know as Hack, smirking behind him and I glare.
"Your friend is not nice and he hurt me!" I lift the sleeve of my top up and show him the bruise. Killian's eyes widen and his fists clench.
"Who did that to you, baby?" I point to Hack behind him and the smirk falls from his face. "Take her home, Enzo."
"We're not finished with this." Enzo points at Killian and leads me out of the gym. "Come on, darling." Enzo wraps his arm around my waist and leads me out.
•••
"You okay, darling?" Enzo whispers as I sit between his outstretched legs on my bed. His arm is wrapped around my stomach and he leans his chin on the top of my head.
It's been a couple hours since what happened and I feel a little shaken up. I wasn't expecting all of that to happen.
I nod my head at Enzo's question.
"How's your arm?" He asks stroking my hair.
"Hurts a little but I'll be okay, thanks for asking Enzo." I whisper, smiling up at him.
"That's okay, baby." My stomach flutters at his words. "Killian would never hurt you, babe. Don't listen to that idiot Hack." Enzo tells me and as I go to speak there's a knock at the door and then Killian walks in.
I watch as he sits on the end of the bed and I'm surprised when he reaches forward to stroke my leg.
"I'm sorry for shouting at you earlier. I had a look at cctv and I saw what happened. Hack has been dealt with." Killian apologises, making direct eye contact with me. "Forgive me, baby?"
I smile and nod my head.
"Thank you." He nods and his eyes fall onto the bruise on my arm. I watch as he clenches his eyes and stands up. "Again, I'm sorry for shouting and I want you to know as well that I would never hurt you." He says and before I can say anything he rushes out of the room.
"I'll talk to him." Enzo reassures me and I nod my head.
"I'm taking a nap." I tell him sigh and he moves away from me and stands up from the bed.
I lay down on my back and Enzo pulls the covers over me.
"I'll wake you up when it's time to eat." I nod my head and smile. Enzo smiles back, leaning down to kiss my forehead before walking out of the room.
But a sudden wave of sadness washes over me and I can't help but feel Killian is upset. I'll have to talk to him later as well.
