Part 43

Blaize's Pov

I gently laid her down on bed and kissed her head. "Just call me if you need anything" she didn't reply.

Even though she had her eyes closed I know she is awake. I'm very much Worried about her, what happened suddenly that took away her smile in an instant.

I know she isn't in condition to answer my question but I know who can and it's high time for me to know what exactly is happening with her.

I sighed and stood up, looking at her for last I went out of our room and called Bryan. "Yup?" He asked.

"Just take them to my home office, I'll be there and yeah Kate too" I said and cut the call.

I went to my home office and stood beside the window. I really need to know what happened that changed my cheerful and happy Angel into this dead girl.

I need to know what happened after I left, did she give birth to her child or not and what happened to that bastard. Or what if I was wrong?

The thought itself was able to give me a heart attack.

"Blaize? What happened? Why did you take her home and she is silent again. I asked her what was wrong but she kept looking at the ceiling" Benny said while entering with Chris.

"To be honest, I don't know but I want to know now, I don't want to let it go now, I want to know each and everything happened when I wasn't with her. I need to know her past if I want to make her present and future safe and happy" I said taking a seat.

I told them how she was shocked to see Clara and Aaron. They are family friends with Adrian. But how Clara hugged her like she knew her from before and the reaction Angel had was very much weird.

The door opened and walked in Aaron and Clara with my all friends and Kate.

Everyone took a seat and I looked at Kate. "I know it's not your story to tell but I still want to know from you first, because in these past years you were with her"

She sighed and nodded. "Yes but I'm sorry I can't tell you, I promised her that I wouldn't tell it to any soul and I intend to keep it that way, but I can tell you how I met her and how it was for her" she said and tears flowed out of her eyes.

I nodded and she took a deep breath.

"I moved out from dad's home 5 years ago and always went to his hospital to meet him, he was a doctor. I went to see my dad again. This time he was treating a woman on bed and there was this girl sitting beside her. She was so beautiful, so long hairs with beautiful complexion and violet eyes but she was looking blankly at the woman."

"I asked my dad what happened to this woman and he told me that she had an accident with her daughter at the airport and she has been in Coma for 6 months. She was about to do Job in this hospital but destiny put her on hospital bed, I felt really bad for her, now I got it that the girl was really sad for her mother"

"I don't know why but I wanted to cheer her up, I wanted to see her smile, but when I tried to talk she didn't even replied to me, dad said she is like that since 6 months, she didn't talk to anyone just keep looking at her mother, no one had ever hear her voice which made me cry, they checked her for any vocal damage but everything was fine, she was just depressed"

"They even tried sending her to psychiatrist but she didn't even moved away from her mother, that time I saw a little girl who just wanted her mother and nothing else, dad then told me that her mother will soon be shift to local hospital because the money from her bank account is already finished and he is treating her with his money which will soon end as well."

"Hospital authority denied to treat her for free so she had to move away. I was really really worried for that girl, no one even knows her name because she never speaks. I tried to talk to her again but she again was silent. Then next time I went to her with food, because I got to know she doesn't eat much in whole day which made her so weak"

"I asked her Strictly to eat food and surprisingly she did, I asked her name but she didn't say anything again, I was happy that at least she listened, I bought food for her everyday and she always finished her food. After a week she finally answered me, she told me her name. Angelina Hughes. I decided to call her Angel. The name actually suits her."

"I told her the situation at the hospital, and told her that she can do Job with me to earn money. It's not like I wanted her to do work but I wanted her to go out to open up, only then she was able to move on from her depression. She was hesitant at first but finally complied."

"I took her to Alison's cafe and she instantly got the job, but she was really really scared to serve, like she was scared to get any kind of attention so Alison gave her job at back counter, but I was happy that she at least tried"

"Then I asked her to live with me at my apartment but she didn't want to leave her mother so it took me a month to make her stay with me, she finally started to open up with me and I was really happy that I finally got closer to her."

"Next day my boyfriend Ray came to meet me at my apartment. He already knew about Angel because I told him everything but the reaction Angel gave after seeing him made me scared. She just ran into her room and hid under the bed."

"That time I knew it wasn't only her mother's accident that put her in depression it must have something entirely different. After sending Ray home I asked her that night what exactly is wrong, surprisingly she hugged me tightly and cried her eyes out"

"That night she told me what happened to her, and I just thought how cruel life was with her, Angel was too innocent for the evil she had to face in such a young age, I didn't want her to waste her life on mourning of what she had lost, I promised myself that I'll make her stand on her feet again, I'll make her smile again."

"Alison gave her job as her personal secretary and Angel agreed because she wouldn't have to face other people. But as time flew she started to let go of her past and move on. In one year she was really good at working and earned enough to pay all hospital charges. I also got an amazing friend who smiles only with me. And she also started to get used to Ray's presence. He also treats her like his little sister."

"Everything was good and peaceful for her, she stopped having nightmares, and start being happy and talkative girl she also had a hope that her mom will wake up and things will be fine until years later you came into her life again"

At the end Kate was a sobbing mess remembering the hard time Angel had to go through.

After listening to Kate I don't know what to feel, or do because every cell in my body was numb.

She didn't talk to anyone for 6 months, no wonder she used to be silent. She was depressed for a year. She didn't eat properly for months. Now I understand why she doesn't have any problem skipping food.

And what did I do? I put her into that depression again. I was rude and harsh with her when she needed my all care. I called her names and she never once said a word not because she accepted them but because she was used to people controlling her.

How could I do that?

"It was all my fault, only if I didn't leave her alone that day." Clara said crying and Aaron hugged her. "It wasn't your fault Clara, it was no one's fault except that bastard. She was just in the wrong place at the wrong time." I frowned at his words.

"What exactly happened? You know everything?" Benny asked with tearful eyes.

"Only we know everything after her mother," Clara said and looked at me, Adrian already told her everything as how Angel is married to me and everything else.

"Blaize, I'm so happy that she finally married to you, her love but you will regret every name you called her, every wrong thing you did after knowing the truth"

"Can you tell us everything?" Adrian asked softy, my voice was stuck in my throat, I fear what if I was wrong? What will I do if Adrian was right?

"Yes I will, we had always lived in Paris but Aaron's brother, Ian, used to live with our grandparents in Mexico. But after their death, Ian was back home and we had to transfer him to a nearby school. On his first day here told us about this girl named Angel, he said she was a girl with whom you can fall at first sight."

"But in the next few days he told us that she refused to talk or sit with him because she has a boyfriend and he doesn't like it."

Then Aaron continued after her, "then Clara needed her treatment too, she wasn't able to conceive so we went to hospital and there we met Layla Hughes, she had taken Clara's case and decided to send her daughter as Clara's personal nurse. We went to her home to meet her daughter and found it was none other than Angel"

"She agreed and actually took very good care of Clara like a sister, she told us about you and there was not a single day when she didn't tell us about you, she was always like, Blaize this, Blaize that."

Clara smiled sadly at me then said, "one day she asked me that, she didn't tell you about talking to Ian again and it looks like she is cheating, I had never seen any girl this innocent, I made her understand that she is doing nothing wrong, Ian had become very good friend of her and if she loves blaize even after becoming friend with Ian then no, she is doing nothing wrong."

I remember she told me about taking care of someone as a nurse but I didn't think much about it at that time. Aaron looked at me and said. "Then on Christmas she showed me Clara's pregnancy test being positive. We all were really happy and she personally wanted to tell Ian too. So she waited for him at the outside door and told him this good news"

My world crumbled down my feet as I heard Aaron's words. She was telling about Clara not herself. Oh my god, what did I do? I looked at Adrian and he gave me that told you look.

I wasn't able to breathe properly, I just wanted to hit myself so badly for not listening to Adrian.

"Then after a week she told us about not being able to contact you, every social media contact was finished. It's like you just wiped out of the earth. We could have helped her in finding you because she doesn't even know your full name. Then she just made herself busy in studying and taking care of Clara." Said Aaron.

Clara nodded and looked at me "it was so sad to see that cheerful girl being quiet but she never showed her sadness to anyone, she was always smiling with us and her mother. We started to see the change in Ian, he started to develop very strong feeling for her and he also get very jealous and angry after listening to your name from her"

"He always tried to make her believe that you betrayed her, you left her hanging, you must have found someone else but she never believed him and this aggravated him more. One day she came to us and told us that she found Ian with some bad guys who were teaching him taking drugs and all"

Aaron shook his head and tears dropped in his eyes. "It was truly my fault, when she told me about it Clara was in the last month of pregnancy and I just told Ian to stop doing this, I didn't take any strong action because I was more worried about Clara. We didn't knew he was still taking drugs secretly, he wasn't that friend anymore on whom she trusted"

Clara sobbed and Aaron side hugged her, she said " it was her graduation ceremony when she came to our home in evening, I saw the broken look in her eyes, she still believed that you would fulfil your promise, you'll still came to her graduation day but you didn't and that broke her. But she still believed that something must have happened that you didn't came, she still loved you"

"That day when she came, I was going out with Aaron and my daughter, she was asking about Ian, he was also looking very sad and broken that day and I thought she might cheer him up so I sent her to help him in his room. It was my very big mistake, I didn't know he was taking drugs. At halfway I remember that I forgot my daughter's accessories bag at home so we had to go back."

"At home we heard Ian's yelling and fear engulfed my heart, we ran to his room and.. and" she sobbed again then continued. "I saw her on the floor, she. . She was covered in bl-blood. Ian was so angry and… and he tried to force himself on her but Aaron came on time. I went to her and she was barely breathing. Ian's hands and clothes were red too in blood, her blood."

"We took her to her mother's hospital immediately and they were able to save her. Layla was shocked and hurt to see her daughter in this condition. They were able to save her but she wasn't the same Angel anymore. She was that scared little girl who got started with just any stranger face. She didn't leave her mother's arms and didn't do or eat anything until her mom made her. She didn't even meet with us, she was so scared to face us."

"It wasn't her fault, we understand how hard it is to see us without remembering any memories of Ian which will going to Haunt her so we gave her time to heal"

"We handed Ian to the cops and he was sentenced to stay in a cell for 30 years, but then we found that Angel and her mother had left from hospital and not even hospital, they sold out their home too. We understand that they left but It wasn't easy for us too, I lost my only sister, and Aaron lost his brother. But we always wished for her safety and happiness, and now finally we saw her with you. I'm happy that she at least went the way which will take her to her happiness."

I was silent when she finished, what am I expecting? Bursting into anger or fist of cry? It was me who hurt her most, I left her when she needed me most.

Why didn't I go after her on that Christmas, how could I just leave?

I am the worst person in her life because I hurt her in the worst way possible, I broke the heart I love most.

Only because a stupid misunderstanding, why didn't I communicate. God I didn't even give her a chance to explain.

Guilt, regret, remorse, hurt, anger every emotion spread throughout my heart, but most of all how will I ever gonna pay her?

how will I pay for all those tears she flowed for me?

How will I pay for all that pain she had to go through because of me?

"I told you blaize, I told you to go and talk to her, but you didn't listen." Adrian said, making me feel worse.

"You wanted to surprise her on Christmas that day, but just seeing her showing that pregnancy test to another person you thought she betrayed you, you thought she was pregnant and left in thought that she forgot you. I told you that you'll regret it"

Yes I very much regret everything, I shouldn't have left, I should have treated her in the right way when I met her again after years.

There was complete silence in the room and I heard Kate gasped.

I saw her looking at the door and my heart dropped as I looked in the same direction.
