《Nicknames》Chapter 27 ~ Charlotte

Looking down at Luna, I can't help but admire her. She's so beautiful and I've missed her so much that it's ridiculous. Her soft lips pouted into a little frown and her eyebrows furrowed. I place a gentle kiss to her lips then pull back to watch her features soften.
"I love you."
Happiness fills me knowing that it's out there and off my chest. I've been wanting to say that for the past year. Luna always said that things happened for a reason and I believe it because the events that transpired the past week has managed to bring us closer together. For the first time we've finally acknowledged our feelings for each other and I am so happy that we did.
An hour and a half later, Luna wakes up from her nap. I order the Italian dinner as she gets dressed and we eat it downstairs while watching her favorite movie that we've probably seen a million times. In The Army Now. But she never gets tired of it so I watch it with her until she finishes eating and falls asleep again.
After I finish eating, I clean up and turn on the news before sitting back down next to Luna and holding her in my arms. Eventually I turn off the tv and fall asleep on the couch, too lazy to head upstairs.
Throughout the night Luna shifts and turns, mumbling in her sleep. I can only hold her closer and caress the curve of her hip to assure her that she's okay until she settles back down.
The next day I wake up to the melodic voice of Luna singing and the delicious smell of breakfast. Sitting up, I look behind me to where Luna stands in my shirt, swaying her cute ass while flipping pancakes.
"Good morning, Baby!" She calls out to me. "Come here."
Laughing I stand to my feet and make my way over to Luna, wrapping my arms around her waist and kissing the back of her neck as I take the spatula out of her hands. "I'll finish breakfast."
Without objection she steps back and lets me take her place. She steps up behind me and traces the tattoos on my side. It's my most recent one that I let Luna choose when we went to get tattoos. It's a full compass and I think it might be her favorite one. I had to convince her to get one and even then she only got a really small one on her finger. It's cute though. She squeezed my hand the whole time.
"Hey, Honey Butt."
I feel her smile against my a back, her fingers tracing down my spine and to my ass. Little tease.

Taking the pancake out of the pan and removing the pan from the stove, I turn to Luna. Her eyes do something and I feel trapped as look into them. I want to feel her, taste her and explore every nook and cranny.
Before Luna can react, I shove her up against the island and move my hands over her hips and underneath the shirt she's wearing. "Spread them," I whisper softly in her ear
She sucks in a breath before complying, spreading her legs and letting me slip my fingers between her thighs to find her dripping. "So wet," I murmur against her lips.
"Carter..." Her words hang in the air as I slip my finger into her and watch her try and stifle a moan.
Using my middle finger, I move nice and slow within her as she looks into my eyes. I want to push her to the edge and I believe I'm doing a good job of that when she grips my shoulders and her eyes roll back as she clenches around my finger. I press my thumb against her sensitive nub, applying pressure.
She's close. The first sound of her orgasm starts to break through and I work my hand quicker, using my other hand to grip her throat and claim her lips as her orgasm washes over her. She shudders in my arms, her teeth latching onto my bottom lip as I take everything from her.
When her orgasms fully subsided I pull back. She stares at me in a daze as I remove my fingers and bring them to my mouth and suck off her juices. She tastes so good.
"Go get dressed," I instruct snapping her out of her haze. "I'll finish breakfast."
She nods, tucking a stray curl behind her hair and heading up the stairs. Today we have to give an official statement since I stole Luna away yesterday. Then after we have a flight to Luna's home. I booked it last night while Luna was in the shower, cost me a lot because it was last minute. But I've spent more money on dumber things.
After I wash my hands, I finish up breakfast, making Luna's favorites. Pancakes, bacon, eggs, and potatoes. When she comes back downstairs, I have the food set out on the patio where I wait for her. The smile on her face makes me smile and the way the wind catches her loose skirt makes me feel like I am in a trance.
"Come here, Sugarpie."
My response is the usual eye roll, but she still makes her way over, bypassing the empty seat in front of me and crawling into my lap. I don't object. Instead I pull her closer and together we eat breakfast as we look out at the beautiful view of New York.

When I look at her every darkness within my body, mind and soul feels lit up. She's my light. I want to make her happy for the rest of our lives together. I want everything she wants as long as it's with her.
We've finished eating, yet I've made no attempt to move even though I know I need to get dressed. Luna points it out when she looks at her watch and notices that we need to be leaving to go to the bureau. Our moment is ended.
Guiding her to her feet, I stand as well, stretching my limbs before placing a kiss to her lips and heading back into the house to get dressed.
After a brisk shower, I slip on clothes and make sure I have everything for our flight. With everything done, I lock up the apartment and head for the bureau, taking the car that I've already packed with our bags for the flight. Now all we need to do is get the business over with.
The moment we get to the office I'm approached by Brittany, the woman who's been hitting on me since I got here. "Carter, how are you holding up? I heard what happened to Luna. She was like your best friend, right?"
"I'm also his girlfriend," Luna adds, poking her head into this girls very narrowed line of sight, seeing as she didn't notice Luna right next to me with my arm wrapped around her waist. "And I'm not dead so there's no need for past tense."
"Luna, I didn't see you there!"
Luna blinks and nods before kissing my cheek and stepping away from me. I watch her walk off and up the stairs to give her personal statement of the events that have happened in the past three years.
I stand there waiting for the girl in front of me to either say something or walk away. Eventually she says, "So you're with Luna?"
My mind can't handle the lack of intelligence right now, so I bite my tongue and walk away to my desk where I wait for Luna to come back. It takes about an hour and I'm so thankful that I scheduled our flight for the afternoon.
"I want to go home," Luna says as she walks to my desk and grabs her bag and my keys.
Immediately following her lead, I say goodbye to Derek and Emily then follow Luna to the elevator, taking my keys from her once we are on and the doors have closed. I know she wants to go home, but that's not where we are going right now.
When we get into the car and on the road I turn to Luna. She hasn't said a single word. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," she sighs leaning back in her seat. "Where are we going?"
I knew she would ask the question eventually. We are going in the complete opposite direction of the apartment. But I'm not going to give her an answer. She will know in 15 minutes. Instead, I place my hand on her thigh and pretend I didn't hear the question she just asked.
She hates when I do that, but it's okay. She's going to love me in a few minutes. Hopefully.
In order to make our flight on time, I move through traffic, quickly, swerving through lanes to get to the airport. I notice her curiosity as I park in their parking garage and climb out of the car. When I come around to her side and open the door she sits there looking at me with the question in her eyes.
I can't help but laugh as I unbuckle her seatbelt and take her hand to pull her out of the car. She's about to say something when I cup her face and pull her into a kiss. After a moment she shoves me off and looks up at me.
"What are we doing here, Carter?"
"Getting out of New York," I reply opening up the back door and grabbing our bags.
"Where are we going?"
I ignore her question again, taking her hand and guiding her into the airport. She trudges along, walking next to me as we go through all the checks. When we get to our gate, Luna sees the destination and throws herself into my arms.
"You're finally going to come home with me?" Her voice cracks and tears form in her eyes. "I love you Carter Bentley."
"I love you too, Luna Grayson."
She smiles and places a kiss to my lips before embracing me again. After a moment, I sit her down in a chair and wait for our flight to begin boarding. It's only a two hour flight. I can survive two hours. Even though I've spent most of the day thinking about pulling off her tank top and pushing up her sk—.
"Thank you."
I give her another kiss right before they call for the plane to board. Two minutes later we are in our seats.

Rogue Dungeon: A LitRPG Adventure
From James A. Hunter, author of Viridian Gate Online and War God's Mantle! Check out my first attempt at a Dungeon litRPG Novel! Roark von Graf—hedge mage and lesser noble of Traisbin—is one of only a handful of Freedom fighters left, and he knows the Resistance’s days are numbered. Unless they do something drastic … But when a daring plan to unseat the Tyrant King goes awry, Roark finds himself on the run through an interdimensional portal, which strands him in a very unexpected location: an ultra-immersive, fantasy video game called Hearthworld. He can’t log out, his magic is on the fritz, and worst of all, he’s not even human. Now, he’s a low-class, run-of-the-mil Dungeon monster. Some disgusting, blue-skinned creature called a Troll. At least there’s one small silver lining—Roark managed the grab a powerful magic artifact on his way through the portal, and with it he might just be able to save the world after all. Unless, of course, the Tyrant King gets to him first …Hey everyone, so as most of you know, I write books for a living, and I just put this title up on Amazon (and enrolled it in KU). Because KU requires exclusivity as part of their terms of service, I have had to pull the majority of the content from this site. I left the full novel up for as long as possible, so I hope everyone got a chance to read it. If you haven't had a chance to read it in its entirety (sorry!) you can pick it up on Amazon. Thanks again for coming on this journey with me, and I so hope you enjoyed it. The book will be out on Tuesday July 24th. Best, James Hunter
