It's been a month since Allison was born and I'm finally getting the hang of this diapering thing.

Allison is such a good baby. She hardly ever cries and she sleeps most of the night.

The only time she gets cranky is when she wants the boob but I can't blame her there.

"Who is daddy's pretty girl?" I pick her up and cuddle her and kiss her little forehead.

I take her downstairs and find Vaylin in the kitchen making some food.

"Sweetness you don't have to cook."

"I wanted some bbq chicken so it's in the oven now. Did you change our little princess?"

"Yeah she had a wet diaper is all," I said rocking her.

"Do you want me to take her?"

"No sweetness I got her she's just sleeping and I want to hold her."

"It gives my arms a break." She laughed.

While Vaylin was getting our dinner on plates I took Allison into the living room and put her in the bassinet so we could eat.

"This is delicious sweetness."

"I agree. I don't have those wacky cravings anymore but I was craving bbq chicken." She smiled.

After dinner, I told her I would clean up because Allison was crying and she was probably hungry.

I loaded up the dishwasher and once I walked into the living room I found Vaylin sitting on the couch while Allison was nursing.

She was singing lowly to Allison rubbing the hair out of her face.

She has changed so much in a month already but I think she looks more like Vaylin every day.

The doorbell went off and I looked at her but got up and run to the door so it don't wake up Allison.

I opened the door and it was Beth and Jonny. "Hey, guys! We stopped in to see Allison."

"Of course you did. She's nursing right now so you will have to wait."

"We can come back," Jonny said.

"No that's silly come on in," I said shutting the door.

We went into the living room and Vaylin had Allison up on her shoulder burping her.

"Hey! We just had to stop by and see Allison." Beth smiled.

"It's fine come on in and find you a seat. She just got done eating and then you can hold her."

"Oh, I can't wait. I've never been around a small baby but I love this little girl."

"You better Beth she is your niece." I laughed.

A little while later Jonny and I went downstairs to have a beer while the women talked about baby stuff.

"So I have a question, Theo."

"Alright hit me with it."

"I want to marry Beth and I want to ask your dad but I'm not sure how."

"He likes a straightforward guy so I would just come up and ask him. Maybe take him some of Vaylin's chocolates too."

"Oh man I didn't think of that but I think that's a good idea." He laughed.

"I do want to get Vaylin to make one of those chocolate rings if she will when I propose to her. I already have the ring."

"That's a good idea and Beth will love it and she also loves pink carnations."

"Thanks, Theo. I enjoy hanging out with you and well we may just become family." He laughed.

A little while later we walked upstairs and Beth had Allison in her arms and I couldn't help but take her picture and send it to mom.

"We better get going because Jonny has to work in the morning and I guess I do too." She said.

"I'm glad you guys came over." Vaylin smiled.

I took Allison from Beth and rocked her in my arms as Vaylin locked the door.

"Do you think we should take her upstairs and get her ready for bed already sweetness?"

"Yeah, I'm so tired I almost nodded off when Beth was talking."

I carried Allison upstairs and put her on the changing table and changed her diaper while Vaylin was looking for a sleeper.

She put the sleeper on her and picked her up and kissed her head and so did I and then she put her over in her bed.

I grabbed the baby monitor and we headed to our room.

"So guess what?"

"What Theo?"

"Jonny asked me how to ask dad for Beth's hand."

"No way!"

"Yes and I told him to come to get some candy but he really wants you to make him one of those rings."

"Oh, I can do that tomorrow!"

"I can't believe you are already back to work sweetness."

"Well I mean I am needed because with all of the new molds we can't keep anything in stock!"

"Well, mom isn't complaining keeping Allison she loves it."

"All of the book club ladies absolutely love her."

"She is a gushing grandma which I wasn't sure of after all of that catering." She laughed.

"You have changed my life and my whole family as well sweetness."

"You have mine too Theo. Look at our beautiful baby."

"Do you want to have more babies with me?" I asked.

"Of course at some point I do Theo. Right now I'm ready for my body to go back to normal. I have a little weight to get off of me."

"Sweetness you look beautiful just the way you are. That may be fat or annoying to you but to me, that's what held our precious baby."

"You know how to say the most perfect things, Theo."

"Do I get anything for it?" I laughed.

"I can't have sex with you yet Theo."

"Yeah I know but umm maybe a blowy?"

"No my lips are tired." She giggled.

"Ouch burn!" I chuckled.

"My lips and body are tired. Working all day doesn't make me as tired as taking care of Allison."

"She is a lot of work but she sure is cute."

"You have that right Theo and she has us both wrapped around her little finger already."
