Two weeks later I was sitting in a chair in the back working on one of the new teddy bear molds that dad made when I got a terrible cramp.

I stopped what I was doing and tried to breathe but the cramp was getting worse.

I tried to ignore it until I just couldn't anymore. I tried to get up and I couldn't and then I felt wet.

"ISSAC!"

He ran back to me. "What's wrong?"

"I think I'm in labor! My water just broke."

"Oh crap, what do you want me to do?"

"Can you go get my phone off my desk? I need to call Theo."

"How about I get you out to my car and get you to the hospital and you call Theo on the way."

"That sounds good. Thank you so much, Issac. Get a towel or something for your seat please."

"No time." He picked me up out of the chair and carried me to his car.

As soon as we were in the car I called Theo.

☎️ Sweetness?

☎️ Theo! My water broke and Issac is taking me to the hospital please meet me there.

☎️ Oh crap! Ok, I'm leaving now.

☎️ Be careful ok? Issac will be looking for you once I am inside.

☎️ Sounds good sweetness I love you.

☎️ I love you too Theo.

It didn't take long for Issac to get me safely to the ER door and he ran inside and when he came back out he had two nurses with him and a wheelchair.

Once inside the nurses wheel me to a room and they help me get out of my wet clothes into a gown and the other one starts hooking me up to things and inserting an IV.

Once on the baby monitor, I could hear Allison's heartbeat and I calmed down just a little bit but I was worried about Theo getting here safely.

It wasn't long until Theo walked in with Issac.

"I made it sweetness."

"I was so worried Theo."

The nurse turned around. "I thought that was the baby daddy."

"Oh no that's my employee and this is my husband." I laughed.

"Boss I'm going to get back to work but Theo please keep us updated on the little one."

"I will keep you updated man. I appreciate you bringing her in for me." Theo said.

"No problem! Good luck guys!"

"Theo can you call everyone or text them and let them know we are here. I need my mom here."

"I already called her sweetness and dad has already sent the jet for them."

"That's a relief." I sighed.

The nurse was the best. She brought in some flavored ice chips and the contractions came and went but I kept watching the clock waiting until my mom got here.

At one point I didn't think she was going to make it when I was contracting hard.

The nurse came back in and checked me and I was surprised I was already at six centimeters because being my first baby it usually takes a long time.

I was getting nervous because I was getting my epidural and my mom still hadn't made it.

"What's wrong sweetness?"

"I'm worried about my mom getting here in time."

"They will be here don't stress ok? My dad will make sure that she is here."

"Dr. Sparks came in to check me a little later and I was already at eight centimeters and I was ready to cry because my mom was going to miss it.

Thirty minutes later my mom and dad walked in with Donnie and Kalene. "We made it honey."

"Oh, mom!" I cry as she walks over to hug me.

"I told you I would be here and thanks to Donnie I made it here fast."

A little while later everyone cleared out of the room besides mom and Theo.

My phone rang and it was Ali so I answered it.

☎️ Hey how are you doing?

☎️ I'm sitting at nine centimeters and I've had an epidural so I'm ok right now.

☎️ I'm glad you are ok I was worried.

☎️ Why arent you here? I can have one more person in the room with Mom and Theo and I mean Allison is named after you.

☎️ Seriously? I'm in the lobby I just walked in.

☎️ Get up to the second floor and my family is in the waiting room you can't miss them.

☎️ I will be right there VV.

I hung up the phone and smiled.

"Is Ali coming?"

"Yeah, she's coming up will you go get her Theo?"

"Of course, I will." He said kissing my lips and then heading out the door.

When he comes back Ali was with him holding a big pink elephant. "Thanks for letting me be here."

"You are my best friend you know better than to think you aren't welcome." I smiled through tears.

It seemed like that last centimeter was taking forever and once I hit ten centimeters everything happened so fast and before I knew what was happening Allison had made her way into the world screaming her little lungs out.

I watched as Theo cut the cord and they took her away to clean her up and then brought her back and laid her on my chest.

She was the most beautiful baby that I had ever seen and well maybe I was bios of course.

"Oh, Vaylin you did so well. She is beautiful." Mom said.

"Sweetness she looks like you."

"But she has your nose, Theo."

There was a knock at the door and when it opened it was Kalene poking her head in. "Can we come in and see our granddaughter?"

"Of course come on in guys!" I smiled.

Donnie and dad walked in with Beth and they all gathered around the bed getting a good look at Allison.

"Oh, she's so beautiful and I guarantee she's going to be spoiled." Donnie laughed.

"I wouldn't expect anything less from you, Donnie." I laughed.
