Vaylin had another checkup today and everything was going smoothly. It's hard to believe she has one more month to go and we will finally meet our baby girl.

It's Saturday and Josh, Jonny and Billy are coming over to help me tackle the baby's room.

Vaylin decided on a light purple room with some teal mixed in it. The theme of this room was cute little teddy bears.

I figured while she was at work today we could get this knocked out and then I could buy them some pizza and have some beer.

"This is going to be cute man," Josh said.

"Thanks but it's all Vaylin's doing because I didn't have anything to do with this."

"Hey, man Beth mentioned a baby shower at Donnie and Kalene's," Jonny said.

"Yeah, dad mentioned it to me. I think they want to do it tomorrow and well Vaylin has no idea whatsoever."

"Sunday dinner so she won't think nothing of it will she?"

"No, I don't think so. I just need to get her to dress up. Maybe Beth can text her and tell her that."

"I will work on it," Jonny said.

We got the walls painted and Billy was good with the stencil making a big A over where the baby bed will go.

"It looks so good guys. I appreciate all of your help. Let's go eat some pizza and drink some beer."

"Sounds good man!" Josh laughed.

After the pizza got there we headed down to the basement to eat, drink and play pool.

Time got away from us and by the time everyone was ready to go home it was time for Vaylin and I kinda wanted this to be a secret.

The guys left and I cleaned up the mess in the basement and put the pizza boxes in the trash right before she walked into the kitchen.

"Hey, sweetness!"

"Hey, how's it going?"

"It's going!" I grinned.

"Why do you look like your up to something?"

"Well maybe because I am. The guys have been over and we had pizza and drank beer."

"I'm not even going to ask if there is any pizza left because I know you guys ate it all."

"Yeah sorry, sweetness but we can order more if you want but first I want to show you something upstairs."

"Alright lead the way then Theo." She smiled.

I grabbed her hand and she followed me up the steps and into the baby's room.

"Oh, Theo!"

"What do you think sweetness?"

"It's just the way I wanted it besides the A I love it who did it?"

"That would be Billy. I think he did a great job."

"It's all great Theo. I don't know what to say!"

"Beer and Pizza made them all happy. Once it dries you can put all your bear theme stuff in here."

"I'm so excited and it all seems so real. She's kicking I think she likes it."

We walk out of the room and I place my hands on her stomach. "Allison your mommy and I are ready to meet you."

"I don't say her name much because I'm afraid I may say it." She laughed.

"Same!"

She went to change her clothes and I went downstairs to order some Chinese food and when she came down she had a weird look on her face.

"Beth just called and said dinner tomorrow is a dress-up thing."

"Oh did she? Guess I have to wear a dress shirt then. Mom does that sometimes. You know how fancy she can be."

"It's nice to dress up sometimes and I have the perfect pink dress." She smiled.

"Then I will wear a pink shirt as well and we will match."

"Growing up in church I never understood why people dressed alike but now I get it." She laughed.

"We will be cute and umm I ordered some Chinese."

"Good I'm starving Theo and so is Allison."

"We have to get used to saying that." I laughed.

The doorbell rang and I went and got the food and we sit in front of the tv and ate and watched a movie together.

This is how life is supposed to be and I am so happy to be sharing it with Vaylin and soon baby Allison will keep us very busy and on our toes for the rest of our lives.

I couldn't wait until the baby shower. She's going to be so surprised and excited I believe.

I looked over at Vaylin and she was sound asleep sitting up. I couldn't help but smile.

I tried to be quiet and got up and took the Chinese to the fridge and then came back and cut the tv off and picked Vaylin up and took her upstairs and gently laid her on the bed.

"Theo?"

"It's the ok sweetness you fell asleep on the couch and I brought you up to bed."

"Thank you I love you." She said turning over in the bed.

I changed my clothes and then went to brush my teeth before crawling in bed beside her.

I snuggled up to her and she threw her leg across mine and let out a snore.

I smiled and fell asleep.

The next morning when the alarm went off we got up and took a shower together but didn't get to go any further because I have to get her over to the house for the party.

"Do you like my dress Theo?"

"I love it and you look, beautiful sweetness."

"Thank you! You look great yourself and well we look really pink." She laughed.

"Let's get going so we aren't late and Beth eats all of the food."

"I have some chocolate to take in the fridge."

"How about we save it for ourselves, sweetness?"

"Really Theo? We have so much chocolate in the fridge and your dad always looks for it when we come over."

"You are just spoiling dad." I laughed as we headed out to my truck.
