Before dinner, I called to check in with Hailey to see how things are going.

Once knowing things are fine we head over to the air b&b to meet the family.

Kalene found a place that catered and my mom didn't know what to think and I couldn't hide my laugher.

"The look on your face is exactly how mine was the first day I had dinner with them. She means well mom."

"Oh I know she's very sweet but she wouldn't let me cook." She laughed.

"It's ok this is her thing." I smiled hugging mom.

"Ok everyone dinner is served!" Kalene laughed.

We walked over and Theo got me by the hand and we sit down beside Ali and Billy.

"Thank you all for joining us today before we head back home," Donnie said.

"We have had a great time." Theo smiled.

"I bet," Beth smirked.

Kalene gave her a look like a shut up and I couldn't help but giggle.

"We had a great day down at the beach and the water was so warm," I said.

"Oh, Vaylin I know you always did love to swim," Dad said.

"I could see retiring here someday." I smiled over at him.

Once dinner was done a big cake was brought out and it had congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Kingston on it.

We all toasted and had a piece of cake together with many laughs for the rest of the evening.

Early the next morning everyone left but Theo and me. We decided to stay a few more days but we ended up staying with my parents.

I wanted to soak up as much time with them as I could before we had to leave which Theo understood.

My dad decided to take him out on the boat this morning and do some fishing while mom and I did some baking and just spent time together.

"I've missed this with you mom. I have cried myself to sleep a lot since you guys left because I felt so lonely."

"I'm sorry sweetie but we love it here and we wish you guys could join us."

"Mom I just cant with Candy Rush and Theo has Kingston Paper and someday he will probably have to take that over."

"But if you guys have children how will we see them?"

"I guess you will have to make trips huh? Or we can. Who said anything about kids?"

"Don't you guys want to have children?"

"It's not something we have really talked about mom. We just got married and I don't want to rush into things."

"I understand. I had you within the first year we were married and we tried and tried for more but it just wasn't meant to be." She shrugged.

"It's ok mom I am a lot to handle." I laughed.

We made lemonade and went out on the back deck and looked over the water.

"I love sitting out here with your father. This is what retired life is all about." She laughed.

"I would love it. But for now, I am enjoying Theo's house and that beautiful kitchen."

"Do you have pictures I would love to see sweetie?"

"Oh yeah here." I handed her my phone and we looked through them.

"This is beautiful Vaylin! I think you will be very happy there."

"Theo makes me so happy mom. I've never felt like this before." I smile.

"His family sure loves your candy don't they?" She laughs.

"I call them the crazy candy family." I laugh.

Dad and Theo walked into the house with a container full of fish. "We brought dinner!"

"Count me out with cleaning them because I can't do that they stink." I laugh.

"Oh, your dad always does it because I can't stand it either."

"Yeah, I'm going to teach Theo here how to gut and clean them."

Theo was smiling from ear to ear before he walked over and kissed my lips.

I watched him and my dad walk out back into the house and I couldn't help but smile.

"Love looks wonderful on you sweetie."

"Thanks, mom! It's a great feeling that's for sure."

A couple of hours later they were grilling the fish while mom and I made sides and we went out on the patio and ate dinner.

"This really is the life." Theo grinned.

"It's the best. I don't miss making chocolate at all." Dad smiled.

"You look very happy and relaxed dad and I'm happy for you."

"Thanks, Vaylin! I know the chocolate business is in good hands so I don't need to worry."

"I asked them when were we going to have grandkids. We need someone to take over the chocolate business someday." Mom smiled.

"They are trying to push for grandkids already Theo."

"I'm game." He laughed.

"Geez not even on my side I see."

"Well things happen and I wouldn't be mad if you get pregnant." He smiled.

"Now you are talking our language." Mom laughed.

After dinner, Theo helped me clean up while mom and dad went out on the deck.

"Thanks for being on my side Theo."

"Hey, I'm being honest! If you get pregnant I'm ok with it. I always thought I wanted to be a dad."

"You will be a great one someday Theo I'm just not sure I'm ready for that yet. I have a lot of chocolate to make."

"Sweetness you will always have a lot of chocolate to make."

"I know but I think we need to enjoy being married just the two of us first but if it happens I won't be mad about it."

"Same and I do know between our parents the kid would be spoiled."

"I would never want to pressure our kid to take over our business Theo."

"I was pressured to work for dad and some days I hate it and resent it but I don't think you feel that way do you, sweetness?"

"No way! I have loved chocolate since I was in diapers." I laugh and splash him with water.
