When I got home this evening there was another note on my door and I couldn't help but smile.

It's not my valentine but it's nice anyway. I pull it off the door and walk inside laying my bag down.

I went to change clothes while I slipped a chicken patty in the oven.

I made a chicken patty and fries and sit in front of the tv forgetting all about the note.

I dozed off a few times in front of the tv when my phone rang.

☎️ Vaylin honey how are you?

☎️ Hi mom! I'm good just dozing here on the couch.

☎️ I'm sure you are very busy this time of year but I just wanted to call and check on you.

☎️ Your right it has been busy. I got a 500 order today from Kingston paper they want boxes of candy for Valentines.

☎️ Oh wow sweetie that is a lot.

☎️ I'm glad I have help!

☎️ Me too. I miss you sweetie. You take care ok? I'm headed to bed.

I get up to make sure i set the alarm and see the note and pick it up and head to my bedroom.

I flop down on the bed and open the envelope.

I couldn't help but smile and hope in some way it was my candy they picked up in remembrance of Jenna.

I put the note back in the envelope and set it on my dresser with the other three.

I brushed my teeth and pulled my hair up into a bun and got in bed falling right to sleep.

The next morning Ali stopped by and brought me an iced coffee and we caught up before she left.

I sit down to write a note.

I really hope the candy was great. I have a bit of a sweet tooth myself.

I tape it to the door and walk to my car and drive to Candy Rush. It was already busy the lobby was full and basically nowhere to park.

I walked in the back and Isaac was busy stirring chocolate. "Morning Boss!"

"Morning Issac. Let me sit my stuff down. I will be right back."

I put my bag down and grabbed my apron. "What's on the menu this morning?"

"Nuts and fruits. We have so many to make for Kingston."

"Yes we do a bit of everything." I said.

"Hailey is in the back making the hearts for the centers of the boxes."

"Oh good! I may need to hire someone else." I said.

"Honestly it could be a big help. Would take the pressure off of us."

"Do you know anyone needing a job Isaac?"

"I do. My brother Beau he needs one and he seems interested in what we do."

"Bring him in and see if he can be trained and if so I will hire him. How old is he?"

"He's 24." He said.

"Alright call him and I will mix this."

Issac walked over to where I was mixing. "Boss he is excited and will be right down."

"Sounds good! I would rather hire someone thats family related. Thats what my grandfather and dad always done." I smile.

I started pouring the nuts in the chocolate when Issac walked back to where I was with a guy that looked just like him but his hair was a little different.

"Boss this is Beau. Beau this is the boss Vaylin."

"Thank you for giving me a chance Vaylin I appreciate it."

"Oh your welcome! I hope you are a fast learner." I laugh.

I watched as Beau put on a apron and Issac took him and showed him around the kitchen.

Hailey walked back to where I was. "Vaylin that Kingston man is on the phone and wants to talk to you."

"Oh ok! Be right there." I took my gloves off and walked to the front to the phone.

☎️ Hey Vaylin Its Theo I hate to bother you but can you by chance make a special big heart box for my mom?

☎️ I can do that. You want it added with the rest?"

☎️ Well since its for my mom can I pick it up separately from the others?

☎️ Sure I can just not pack it up. You want the biggest box?

☎️ Yeah and you know money isnt an issue with my dad.

☎️ Ok I will pick you the best chocolates Theo.

☎️ Thanks I appreciate it.

☎️ No problem Bye Theo.

☎️ Bye Vaylin.

I hung up the phone and put more gloves on to get the fruit and nuts chocolates into the freezer and went to check on Issac and Beau.

"How is it going?"

"He is learning. He made those few right there."

"Oh not bad at all Beau. Just a little practice you will be great!"

I went back to my office and wrote down what Theo wanted for his mom so that I don't forget. I will make sure that I pick the best ones.

Im tired and ready to go home. My back and feet hurt and im just done for the day.

I walk back out and tell Issac that im going to go on home would he mind to lock up.

"Sure boss. You want me to continue to show Beau whats going on around here?"

"Yeah he can clock out when you do and I'll get him set up in the computer tomorrow if he wants to come back."

"Thank you so much." Beau smiled.

"No problem goodnight guys!"

I tell the girls bye and head out to my car and stop and pick up a pizza and head home to devour it.

When I got home there was no letter on the door and I was a little sad by that but I walked in and locked the door and sit down with my pizza.
