"Dad!" I squeal, as I open my door to him.

We hug and he kisses my forehead. We pull away and he walks around admiring the apartment. "Nice place," he murmurs.

Bear walks out of his room, grumbling about something.

"Bear," I say. He looks at me. "This is my dad, Nicholas."

"Nice to meet you Bear," my dad says, holding out his hand.

I'm surprised when Bear takes it and shakes it firmly. "Nice too meet you too sir."

"No need for the sir, just call me captain," dad jokes.

I roll my eyes. "Just call him Nicholas, Bear."

Bear nods. "Would you like a drink?"

"I'm good thanks," dad says. "Danny and I better head to the wedding though."

"I'm so excited," I deadpan.

"You'll be fine honey," Dad says. "You not coming?" He asks Bear.

"No," Bear says.

"Too bad," dad says. "Daniella I'll meet you in the car."

"Dad-"

He glares at me and I shut my mouth. Bear places a soft kiss on my lips before I leave the apartment.

I wait downstairs for my dad, who takes about fifteen minutes before getting here.

"What did you say to Bear?" I ask.

"Nothing," dad says. We walk over to his SUV and get into it.

We get to my aunts wedding and sit in our designated seats. Which were right across from my mum and Jason.

"Hello Lillian," my dad says in disgust. "Glad to see that they let you out of hell."

"Nicholas," she says. "Have you met my fiancé Jason?"

My jaw drops. "Fiancé!?"

"He proposed the other day," mum gushes, showing me the ring.

"Look away," dad mutters.

The bride song comes on and everyone stands up. Dad and I are in awe, as Aunt Lydia enters the church. Looking absolutely stunning.

Her fiancé Greg was near in tears when he saw her.

You can tell they were perfect for each other.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered together here, in the sight of God, and in the presence of these witnesses, to join together this man and this woman, in holy matrimony; which is an honorable estate, instituted by God, and signifying unto us the mystical union which exists between Yeshua Ha Mashiakh and his Church; The holy estate Yeshua adorned and beautified with his presence in Cana of Galilee. It is therefore not to be entered into unadvisedly, but reverently, discreetly, and in the eyes of God. Into this holy estate these two persons come now to be joined. If any here can show just cause why they may not lawfully be joined together, let them now speak, or else hereafter forever hold their peace

I require and charge you both, as you stand in the presence of God, before whom the secrets of all hearts are disclosed, that, having duly considered the holy covenant you are about to make, you do now declare before this company your pledge of faith, each to the other. Be well assured that if these solemn vows are kept inviolate, as God's Word demands, and if steadfastly you endeavor to do the will of your heavenly Father and earthly Mother, God will bless your marriage, will grant you fulfillment in it, and will establish your home in peace

Greg Madden, wilt thou have this woman to be thy wedded wife, to live together in the holy bonds of matrimony? Wilt thou love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health; and forsaking all others, keep thee only unto her so long as ye both shall live?"

Greg nods and squeezes Aunt Lydias hand. "I do."

"Lydia Harrison, wilt thou have this man to be thy wedded husband, to live together in the holy bonds of matrimony? Wilt thou love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health; and forsaking all others, keep thee only unto him so long as ye both shall live?"

Aunt Lydia smiles. "I do."

"Now would you please like to say your vows," the pastor says.

"I, Greg Madden take thee, Lydia Harrison, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge thee my faith," Greg croaks.

"I, Lydia Harrison take thee, Greg Madden to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge thee my faith," Aunt Lydia sobs.

"Now for the rings," Pastor Dave says. Greg's best man passes them to Dave.

They proceeded to put them on each other's fingers.

"You may kiss the bride and may peace be with you," Pastor Dave says.

Greg cups Aunt Lydias and kisses her passionately. His groomsmen start whistling.

Dad and I get up and start clapping as the walk back down the aisle.

I hope to be up there one day.
