《Bear Roberts》Chapter Four

So it's been three weeks living with Bear now. I still haven't gotten anywhere with him and his one word sentences, but I do know his scoffs are no and his grunts are yes.
I also know that the room I wasn't allowed to go into was his bedroom.
It's a no-no zone.
And he works at Walmart, being a stockman and he mows peoples lawn.
I found out that he mows lawns when I was walking back to the apartment after school and saw him mowing someone's lawn. He was wearing a white tank top and jeans and I clutched my thighs together for some friction.
It was a big turn on.
We've also fixed up a system, so that he does the cooking and I do laundry. He says that he doesn't like the laundry room, because people are in there.
Well his actual words were 'laundry room sucks. People'
A man of few words.
This morning I woke up great. Actually everyday I've woken up great. That mattress does wonders on my body.
I walk into the kitchen, where Bear was eating cereal. He was in his Walmart uniform, which even that he made hot.
I might have a little crush on my roommate.
"Morning," I say to him, making myself a cup of coffee.
He grunts. He's not a morning person.
I sit on the other stool and scroll through TikTok while drinking my coffee.
I then grab my books for my class and leave the apartment, saying goodbye to bear, who just gives me a little wave.
I'd call that progress.
I make my way to Starbucks, where I buy my second coffee.
Adrian smiles at me, while he puts my order into the computer. "How has your morning been?" He asks me.
"Good," I murmur.

"I was wondering-" he clears his throat. "Are you single?"
"Oh, um yeah," I answer.
"Can I buy you dinner sometime?" He asks.
I smile. "Okay."
"Tonight sound good?" I nod. "Okay," he says. "I'll write my number on your cup."
When I get my cup of coffee, sure enough his number was on there.
I'll pick you up at 6 - Adrian 528 2917
I'm finally branching out.
*
When I told Liv and Stacey they freaked out.
Of course.
I texted Adrian during class, my address which he replied with a K.
After class they came over and helped me pick out an outfit.
They also got to meet Bear.
I tried to introduce them, but Bear walked away, into his room and slammed the door.
So Bear doesn't like my friends.
"He's rude," Liv says, as she plops down on the couch.
"He's shy," I murmur.
"No, he's just a dick," Stacey says.
"We aren't here to talk bad about my roommate," I say. "I need your help with my outfit for tonight."
"Dark blue dress with the thin straps and your nice black leather jacket," Stacey states. "Now, let's watch Gossip girl."
So for two hours that's what we did.
Then I got dressed for my date and kicked Liv and Stacey out.
No way we're they gonna be here for this.
When they left, Bear decided to come out of his room. He looks me up and down, grunts then starts cooking dinner.
"I'm not gonna be home for dinner," I state.
"Figured," he mumbles. "Your dressed like that."
"I think that's a compliment so thanks," I say.
There's a knock at my door and I go over and open it, seeing Adrian. He wore a nice button up and denim shorts.

Different then his usual Starbucks uniform but he looks good. "Hey," he says.
"Hi," I murmur.
"Ready to go?" He asks.
I nod. "Just let me grab my purse."
I walk to my room and grab my bag and then walk out, seeing Adrian looking petrified. Bear just stood where he was before, dicing beef.
"You alright?" I ask Adrian, as I walk up to him.
"Good," he mutters.
"See y'a Bear," I say, as I close the door.
As usual he just grunts.
I hop into Adrian's car, putting my seatbelt on, because safety is key.
"Your roommate," Adrian says, slowly. "What's the deal with him?"
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"He's scary," Adrian mutters.
"He's just quiet," I say. "Which makes him seem scary."
Adrian hums and drives us down to the wharf. We walk into The Boatyard Grill and i smile, as they know who Adrian is immediately and take us to our table.
"What can I get you guys to drink?" The waiter asks.
"Just a water," I answer.
"I'll have your nicest beer on tap," Adrian says.
The waiter nods and walks away. "Your over 21?" I ask.
"Turned 21 a month ago," Adrian states. "How old are you?"
"One more year till I can drink legally," I joke.
He chuckles. "It'll go slowly trust me."
"So what do you do beside work at Starbucks?" I ask him.
"I study law at Harvard," Adrian answers.
"That's amazing," I say. "Are you on break or something now?"
"No, I'm just on a gap year," Adrian answers. "What do you do?"
"I major in Marketing at Cornell," I state.
"Why are you doing that for?" He asks.
"I want to open my own makeup store," I answer.
The waiter comes back and hands us our drinks. "Are we ready to order?" He asks.
"Uh-"
"Yep," Adrian answers. "I'll have a the fisherman's basket."
"I'll get the same," I mumble.
The waiter writes down what we want and then walks away again. "You must have a big appetite," Adrian says.
"Not really," I say. "I didn't get to look at the menu. We talk a lot."
He chuckles and suddenly the waiter comes back for some reason.
"So we don't have any seafood baskets tonight," the waiter says. "But the chef is offering to make you a Chef's Special."
"Sure," Adrian says.
I nod and he walks away again.
"I have to go to the bathroom," Adrian says.
"Okay," I murmur.
He gets up and I watch him walk away.
I start humming the tune to Looney Tunes song, because it's been stuck in my head since Saturday.
Like a kid, Bear watches cartoons on Saturday mornings.
It's cute.
After ten minutes, I start to get worried as Adrian hasn't returned.
The waiter comes back with our meals and frowns. "Has your date left?"
"He went to the bathroom," I state.
"I'm pretty sure I saw him exit the back door," the waiter says.
"A-are you sure?" I murmur.
He smiles at me sympathetically. "Sorry babe."
For fuck sake.

His To Keep (COMPLETED)✔️
"What's your name?" He gently asked as he approached me, the rage and hatred that had once painted his features now gone."A-Avery," I stammered out, my body slightly shaking out of fear."Avery," he repeated, my name sounding beautiful as it slid past his lips. The moon trickled through the treetops and illuminated his goldy body as he continued stroking my cheek beneath the soft moonlight. I found myself closing my eyes and leaning into his strangely addicting touch and despite how badly I wanted to pull away, but body refused to and basked in the warm sparks that only my dangerous and feared mate could cause. ***The day Avery's parents decided to leave her and go rogue was the day her once happy heaven became a scorching hell with her demon of an Alpha relentlessly abusing her along with the pack members, being able to have her do whatever they want without any boundaries or limits.
