on after the incident as if nothing strange had happened but Neema was still left reeling, she could not believe that Victus had dared to look at her that way especially with her mate in the room. Nor could she believe that khan had reacted in such a way, because of his reaction no one dared to speak to her, they avoided her like she was the plague. She had not been winning any popularity contests before the incident but now it was as if she was a dead rat in the hall, in fact the rat would probably get more attention then she was.
The meal had been finished for her long after the first course but khan continued to force her to eat, his arm was no longer around her shoulder but forking the next mouthful of food into her mouth. His hazel eyes bore into her and dared her to challenge him, to reject him. He was too wild tonight, there would be no more controlling himself and Neema knew it so she slowly chewed and swallowed the food even though she felt as if she would be sick.
Every swallow brought Khan a modicum of happiness she could see it in the way his eyes glistened, then he would look at her collarbone and decide she needed more food. Everyone had finished eating the main course but their meals had not been taken away because Khan was not finished feeding his mate even though she was finished eating.
Some of the wolves picked at their food in boredom even though they had lost interest with their current meal, the way they ate disgusted her. They had been served at least three meals so far and not one wolf had finished their whole plate but they still looked for the door for more food. They were so glutinous it made her sick, there were humans who were dying for food and these wolves barely ate a mouthful off their plate before they decided it was time for the next course.
A clanging of the broken door had Khan dropping his fork as he stared at the intruder with such fire in his eyes, poor Sahina squawked like a bird and made some flapping gesture that nearly had Neema crying with laughter. It was clear that the female was in distress and that she needed Neema or Khans attention. Motioning her over she went to Neema first and bent closely to her ear and whispered the urgent news, not realising that her whisper was not as quiet as she thought.
"Her siblings are in the nursery one of the staff will console Jana" declared Khan, seemingly unbothered by Sahina's news.
"uhh umm, alpha Khan sir, the children were moved to an adjoining room" mumbled Sahina cautiously as she looked to Neema with wide eyes but Neema had already begun leaving the room.
Her chair scrapped across the floor as she abruptly stood up and marched across the room in determination, her siblings needed her and she needed them. They would always be her number one priority and it was time that Khan understood what family really meant, what it meant to her. Before she could even make it past the threshold of the door khan's thick fingers were pulling at the back of her neck and forcing her body to his back, the heavy thud agitating the fresh scars on her back. In her determination she had completely forgot about his existence, his approval was something she had not sought to get.

"I ordered them to stay in the nursery Neema, so unless you have disobeyed me they should still be there" his calm voice husked in her ear. The deep baritone of his voice causing shivers to travel down her spine in arousal and fear.
Clenching his fingers around her neck he asked the crucial question.
"You wouldn't disobey me Neema, would you?"
His voice stated that he already knew the answer, Neema had dismissed his warning the other night and moved her siblings against his request. Her moving them was not a big issue but by doing so she had directly disobeyed his rule, contradicted his commands and that was a problem. He could not be challenged or disobeyed a second time tonight, he was feeling to wild to control the beast that he really was. That male had wanted his female, that woman had challenged him and now Neema had dismissed his commands, it was too much. At the back of his mind he remembered her telling him she would be moving them but it was still too much, he felt the fire boiling through his body and his heart beat accelerating.
This night would not be good for Neema but it was too late to stop him now, he wanted blood. Tightening his hands around her neck so tightly he was sure to leave marks, Khan dragged her the rest of the way through the doorway, no explanation to the party left behind.
"Khan I didn't disobey you, I told you last night" she whimpered out, his hands were so tight at the back of her neck she couldn't move her head in fear of it snapping off. He forcefully dragged her down the corridor by the nape of her neck her small legs running to keep up with his brisk stomps.
"Please you're hurting me" she cried out as she tried to unclench his hands around her, she knew she had messed up but she could not understand why he was so angry. Khans body was pulsating with fury and Neema could not understand why moving her siblings affected him this way.
Flinging open the door with a harsh bang, he threw her into the room, her body skidding across the floor and landing in a heap by the carpet. The only sounds to be heard in the room was his heavy breathing.
"I do not know what to do with you, it is like you enjoy challenging me" he gritted out. His voice was eerily calm though his eyes were turning that iridescent red, glowing with the menace he felt inside.
Grabbing her by the hair he flung her onto the bed and began stripping off her red dress. Neema found she couldn't even make a mental joke about his fetish for hair tugging, the fear ran too deep that any coherent thought was impossible.
"Khan, W - w - wh - at are you doing" her voice quivered as she shuffled away from him.
He could not hear her voice past the ringing in his ears, he was too far gone to even care anymore, all he wanted was to make her bleed and submit to him. He needed to feel her weakness, her acceptance of him.
He had allowed her too many times to push the boundaries and now she had openly defied him, she had gone too far. At the back of his mind he knew her misdemeanour was not serious, but he could not let it go, the call for blood was too strong. It was a heady dance that lured his wolf from slumber and forced it to the forefront of his psyche, his actions were not that of a man who had learned to curb his wolf, no it was of a wolf who had learnt to curb his beast. There was no human sentiment in him, none that could come to forefront and demand him to think, he was a wolf first and in situations like this he became a beast, there was no in between.

Clawing off his clothes he grabbed the cowering female by one of her ankles, his knife like claws scratching at her skin and leaving red lashes in its wake. He dragged her towards the end of the bed and settled her squirming frame under his body, clasping her hair in his right fist he yanked her head up snarling in her face. Twisting the silky locks around his fist, he forced his nuzzle over her mouth. his ferocious canines tearing into her soft lips, blood dripping from her mouth. His warm wolf breath smothering her.
Shoving her head back down onto the bed he thrust his gnarling snout into her neck scraping his sharpened teeth along her mark and collarbone. Every movement she made earned her a louder and more ferocious snarl until he was a constant growling mess above her and she was as stiff as door, too scared to breathe or fight. Her fiery nature had all but deserted her under khan's wrath.
Parting her legs, he forced his heavy body against her much smaller one the friction it caused burning though her body. His face was upturned into a heavy scowl and drool and blood hung from his wolf like jaw. Her blood smothered his face.
She cowered beneath him but it was not enough, it would never be enough, he wanted to feel her life force oozing in his mouth. He needed it. Needed the warmth her blood would bring him; the satisfaction it would give his gnarling beast. She would learn.
Neema did not know what to do, if she fought him he liked it and if she cried he got angry and titling her head to the side in a submissive gesture only angered him more.
She did not know what he wanted but she could tell that his roughened actions were for his pleasure only, her comfort was all but forgotten but what could she expected when she was mated to a beast.
Every time he made contact with her heat she stiffened, scared that it would be the time he viscously entered her, his forceful body thrust against her supple one in harsh strokes it was a demonstration of what was to come.
A small barely noticeable whimper slipped through her mouth, setting him off into a wild and untameable craze. His jaw clamped around one of her breasts as he bit into the skin shaking his head while he was still attached, as if she were a chew toy. Bile rose in her mouth as she fought the scream traveling through her throat, the throbbing of her bleeding chest festered in her mind. Her body was flittering in and out of consciousness as the burning travelled throughout her limbs.
Tears were subconsciously trickling down the side of her face Yet she gave no indication that she was in pain, she was covered in her own blood yet she made no move to wipe it. Laying in a pool of despair Neema waited for Khan to make his next move.
His snout poked into her wounded chest as he began licking up the blood oozing from her skin when the numbness began to settle into her bones she noticed through her watery eyes that his snout was receding and being replaced by a bloody human mouth. A mouth covered in her blood, staring into his jet black eyes she hoped to convey all her anguish and suffering towards her perpetrator.
Climbing off an unresponsive and shivering Neema he threw on his trousers and barrelled out the room, his mournful how echoing through her mind.
When she was sure he was gone she let out the breath she was holding as her frame shook with sobs that tore their way out of her body. Laying in the same spot she he bled out in, she felt her composure break, it had taken her everything she had not to crumble beneath him but now that he was not here she couldn't control it, she he did not want to control it.
She had seen the wolf behind sheep's clothing and he was as frightening as the tales about him were. It had taken one day to show Neema his true colours and they were shrouded in darkness, there was no light for him so how could there be any for her now that she was mated to him.
Her chest was no longer bleeding but there was a painful stinging left in its wake, the residual blood blended into the scraps of the red dress still attached to her body.
Wiping the stream of tears from her puffy eyes she staggered around the room looking for clothes when she found a robe in the bathroom she flung it on not stopping to look at what she was sure would be a disfigured version of herself. Wiping her torn mouth with the sleeve of her robe, she walked into her sibling's room without bothering to clean the matted blood off her chest.
She just wanted to be with the only people she loved. Stumbling into the room she was greeted with a red and sniffling Jana laying in the arms of a bleary eyed Caillum, his eyes an indicator to how long she had been crying.
"Oh my babies" Neema sobbed out her voice husky from all the crying she had done beforehand.
While she had been suffering they had been to, in their own way, being away from her had taken its toll on Jana as she had stayed up all night crying for her mama.
Climbing into the bed she placed Caillum's small head onto her still tender chest, it was the only way he would be able to fall asleep after such a harsh night. She found that his head on her chest served as a constant reminder that they were with her even if it caused her pain and discomfort, she could endure it. Gathering the blankets around them she created a protective bubble around her family, her arms the barriers around them. Stroking his back in soothing motions she placed tiny kisses on the sleeping, hiccupping babe in his arms.
In that moment she knew she would take anything Khan or anyone threw her way as long as she got to stay with them. As long as she could always hear the sound of their hearts beating throughout the night.
It was music to her weathered soul.
