After the water fight, there was nothing in the bathroom spared from the water assault. We giggled as I sat against his chest, my knees up against my own. He had his arms wrapped around me as I leaned into him.

I had rested my head against his shoulder, breathing out a sigh. He kissed my cheek. "What are you thinking about?" His whispers sent chills down my spine.

"This," I looked at our reflection in the water. How perfect we molded together. "This all feels like a dream."

He kissed my neck, where his mark was, "I feel the same way. This happiness, it doesn't feel real yet." I saw his expression when he looked at me and my heart stopped. The amount of love and care, nobody has ever looked at me like that besides him.

"Zaivinth," I turned in the tub so I was resting on the back of my heels, looking up at him. "You are," I placed my hands on his shoulder. "The single best thing," my eyes filled with tears, "that has ever happened to me," I started to choke on words. My hands were shaking as I rested my forehead against his hard chest.

In an instant, he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me flushed against his chest. "No," he squeezed me tighter, "I feel as if I'm truly the luckiest person," we looked into each other's eyes, his blue ones shining so brightly.

We gently kissed, before there was a pounding on the bedroom door. Our heads perked up, and Vince shouted, "who is it?"

"Me, you lazy bastard," Xion yelled, it made me quietly chuckle. "I'm coming in!"

"Like hell he is," I leaned back knowing he was about to shoot into action. He jumped out of the tub grabing a towel on the door, leaving wet footprints in his wake.

I used this time to drain the tub, getting myself the towel on the size of the bathtub. I was drying my hair with the bathroom door creaked a bit so I could hear their conversation.

"Get out," my mate growled, how did Xion get in so fast? I giggled again under my breath, leaning over the sink to brush my black hair.

"The smell of love in here is so thick that I'm gagging on it," scoffed Xion that sent me chuckling as I looked at myself in the mirror.

"Oh Sheila! You're in here?" Xion shouted to me.

"Good morning!" I shouted back, he was probably still being held back by my mate in the room over.

"It's the afternoon now! How did you allow you're lazy mate to sleep in, I though you were better than that!" He shouted back, I laughed, clutching my towel tighter to me as I opened the bathroom door and leaned against the frame.

"Sorry Xion, it was me that kept him in bed," a smile on my lips. Zaivinth's eyes found mine and he growled, he snapped his head to Xion.

"Out!" He kicked him in the direction of the door.

"You missed three meetings, that's unacceptable for a king," then he looked to me, his eyes soft as he was being pushed out, "and queen."

"We will be on top of it tomorrow Xion, you can count on me."

He was outside and the door was closing, though Xion stopped the door with his hand which made Vince growl. "Dinner is in forty minutes, please be responsible and make that." He looked to my mate an smiled softly, "congratulations on your mating, brother."

Vince bobbed his head in thanks, "thank you," before pushing the door all the way closed.

"Forty minutes he said," a smile crept up onto my face. He was walking over to me the same expression mirrored onto his own.

"Forty minutes indeed," he chuckled as he tossed me onto the bed.

We had gotten to dinner thirty minutes late. The numerous amounts of congratulations for our mating dripped into the following days.

I was walking from the meeting that had just ended five minutes ago with books and scrolls in my hands, and my mates arm wrapped around my waist. I leaned into him as we walked, it seemed that our life had been nothing but bliss. Though we were walking to the stables, where all the kings were to be gathered.

It seemed that Kolgrim, after I stabbed him in the stomach had came back seeking revenge and his assaults on towns seem to never stop. It was time for war, we couldn't allow this to keep going.

We had requested that Selven fly over so that we could discuss tactics, it seems that I would have to be going to the battlefield as soon as he arrives. With heavy discussion with Vince, we decided it was best he joined me a few days after my departure.

The troops from our kingdom are already here, that is part of the reasons we are heading out there, to see our men. "Are you sure you want to do this?" He looked down at me worry in his eyes. I nodded my head.

I had black armor on, golden chains across my shoulders, the marks of a queen. My sword that I had used to stabbed the king was now back at my side. I looked to my mate, his black armor, the match to my own, was polished to perfection. He had matching chains and black/gold sashes across his own chest.

For the first time in what seemed to be centuries, Xion will be on the battlefield. The only reason he was going was due to my mate pushing him to protect me when he couldn't. It was good to feel like someone would be watching over me so I wasn't completely solo.

We exited the palace, flags raised of our kingdoms symbols in the close distance. I saw that we were not the first leaders on the podium ahead. Xion and many others were already standing in a line. They all had their chins raised, looking out at everyone with protecting stares.

Vince took the first step, holding out a hand to me as I gracefully took it. We walked up hand in hand onto the stage. I looked down the line to notice I was the only female. I gulped quietly, knowing that I had big shoes to fill. Xion shook Vince's hand, patting him on the back brotherly. Then he looked to me, his hand outstretched, I took it with a firm shake and he respectfully kissed my cheek. Much to my mates dismay.

Then we stood in line again as kings continue to line up. I watched as the king of my kind, the king of werewolves, stood next to me. The hairs on my body stood up knowing the man next to me curse my existence.

He was old, with a long beard, and dull brown eyes that seem to have seen too much. I knew he had two princes with no daughters. It's a surprise the eldest son hasn't taken over.

"Now that everyone is here." Azai, the King of Faeries spoke, stepping forward, he looked down the line of kings and well, me, a queen. There had to be twelve or more of us there. "We will discuss the situation we are in with you all. No secrets left in the dark."

Lies my mates said into my mind. Azai is a very good speaker, but an even better lier, he is not one to be trusted.

Alright. I wanted to look up at my mate but I looked straight ahead, looking at my subjects and army.

Why are you so nervous? My mate questioned me, worry lacing his words.

Next to me, the King of Werewolves, I could practically hear his murder intent.

He's always been a Bastard. Want to switch spots?

No, everyone would see.

Who cares, love.

I do. Hush, let's listen.

We had gotten used to this mind link and honestly it's the most useful thing. If I'm stuck in a meeting and he is out training, I make him be my maid and make sure I have food when I'm done.

If I was going to suffer, I was sure to bring him down with me. Does that make me a bad mate? Maybe. Is he useful though? Yes.

Then again it could also be a curse due to the fact he loves messing with me during any given serious situation. I thought he was so serious when I met him. Now I know he is just a mischievous child in a mans body.

"Generals, please step forward and address the crowd." Oh, that's my cue. I stepped forward along with the king next to me, Xion, my now close friend, Herus, the King of Centaurs, as well as the King of Crows.

"Please address your troops." Azai turned to the crowd. "These leaders will be on the front lines with all you. If you are willing to trust anyone, it should be them."

"Enough with the romantics," Xion placed a hand on Azai's shoulder. There were a few chuckles behind me. I tuned my ears to hear a very familiar moonlight chuckle, surely from my mate. I couldn't stop my face from lighting up with a smile. "I'm Xion, this is probably the first most of you see me, due the fact that I'm normally stuck behind a mountain papers," chuckles, mostly from the Elven troops. "Though now, as the proud representative of my Kingdom, I will be placing my life in front of my troops, for they have done it for me for many years." Cheers erupted from the elven army.

He finished his speech and stepped in line besides me. One by one everyone talked, then in was my turn. After the last king stepped backwards, I stepped forward.

All of their eyes looked up to me. Oh my god. There was a chuckle behind me, I knew it was my scoundrel mate.

Just talk love. They will love you either way.

I took a deep breath and then addressed the crowed my shoulders squaring.

"Good Morning, I am Queen Sheila of the Dragon Kingdom."
